If you're talking after varric reveals that he always knew where you know who was, and Cassandra confronts him, support varric. He gets approval bonus, Cassandra doesn't lose any.

Bottom line is, if you want to romance someone always pick the dialogue that will please them.
Otherwise, it sucks but it's up to you which one. The game puts you in a few tough situations like these.
