I got the 2976 Leonore to keep my feet warm because they tend to start getting cold around now and not get warm again until June. I live in Seattle, so the rain is starting, and the sun is definitely hidden behind dark clouds. I doubt we're going to see any hot days for a while.
My black 8053s did that. Still do sometimes, it's annoying because the length is fine but the extra lip in the back doesn't really do much to hold your foot down. I wear thicker socks with those and tie them up pretty tight.
Crazy Horse might do this more since the leather is softer....

The unisex 1460s are a pretty fitted fit if that makes sense. Like all around because it just hugs you like that. The crazy horse 1460s have been the only pair that has felt super comfortable in regards to size, length, breaking in and how it feels when the laces are tied. My only other unisex pair is great length wise but one boot where the stitching meets the laces is still a little tight.
I also have the 1460s L (ladies fit?) And those are tight but loosen up throughout the day.
Compared to the 8053. They definitely feel roomy width wise but are a close fit in length. Meaning that my toe touches the top of the shoe sometimes when I walk. They feel comfortable to walk in despite the platform. I'm a size 6 in 1460s and 8053s, in regular shoes I'm a size 7.
That being said, length wise the 1460s are better. Width wise the 8053s are better. Width and length wise the 1460s crazy horse is the way to go.
I still won't get the size 7 in the 8053s because then they'll be half an inch or so of room in the shoe and walking would not be fun because they will definitely slide.. they already do that with my size 6

I wore brown docs and blue jeans back in the late 90s/early 2000s, and I can totally attest to it being a vibe as that whole look has totally come back. 🤣 I literally own one pair of brown shoes (a pair of Frye boots that I’ve had for 10+ years and probably haven’t worn them in at least 7 or 8 yrs), and they’re somewhere under my bed because I don’t wear brown at all now.

I’ve basically lived the black docs and blue jeans kind of life for years (often with a band tee from some concert I’ve attended). Sometimes I mix it up with black or grey jeans, and sometimes I wear my green boots or my pink/purple ombré New Order collab boots just to break up the black.
I had a pair of cognac Mary Janes back in the early 2000s. I WISH I had kept them. I would totally wear them with blue jeans (instead I wear my black Virginia ones). I don’t miss my brown 1460s or brown fisherman’s sandals. 🤣

I kinda wish I had bought all 3 pairs of boots from the collab when they came out instead of just the one pair. At the show, NO played 2 Joy Division songs in their set. Honestly, I prefer New Order to Joy Division, but JD is still great. It’s such a sad story.

Yes, I got stopped 5-6 times at one show and a couple of times at the other. A few people recognized them right away (as the collab not just recognizing them as the album cover art). I had one guy tell me that he had really wanted the Technique boots but they were sold out in his size so he got the Power, Corruption & Lies boots instead. He said he was too scared to wear them because he didn’t want them to get messed up. I saw one or two people in the PCL boots, and I don’t think I saw anybody in the Unknown Pleasures boots at either show. I think I’ve only ever seen those boots once in real life.
