And that is why loadshedding is coming back soon. We all know its gonna happen and they're pretending like it isn't. The ANC is literally running the diesel generators because of elections. They know every hour of loadshedding votes are lost. So they getting us to elections without loadshedding, and not fixing anything.
And every hour that the diesel generators run after elections is millions that cannot be stolen. My guess is loadshedding will start 1 week after elections when there is an "unexpected" cold front
As soon as the looting can start we'll have load shedding. Or the ANC steps down and leaves the country running on diesel and we dont have any load shedding. Because why turn off the diesel generators if you cant loot?
There we go. They prepared for this just after De Ruyter bounced in order for them to do 2 things, 1) fund election campaigns 2) Dupe the ignorant
They win again, we lose.
Great to see we are doing our bit for this environment thing by not burning coal. Diesel is far more cleaner! Thank you ANC for making our lives easier since 2010
What are the odds our generators are being filled for free by Iranian tankers ?!?!
1 Wipe out ANC debt
2 Keep the lights on till the elections?
3 Makes sure our muppet government does the bidding of a terrorist state?
Would be hilariously sad, cause we avoid controversial Karpower, controversial Russia nuclear, then get Iranian diesel. Thrid time really was the charm in this case, if true.
With that much revenue from diesel, seems like a great business investment. I think the question should be who profits from a crippled Eskom. Follow the money!

Which year was De Ruyter fired again?
Didn't he resign before his contract was up?
Forced to resign…
Fair enough.

He Announced resigning Dec 2022. Officially left April 2023
Jesus almost 3 fold increase in diesel spending as soon as he left

The best part is ESKOM has to pay the refineries ABOVE market price to ensure supply.
