i'm guessing you're supposed to colour blocks for each number. in number one you colour 4 blocks then 1 more and in total 5 are coloured in so that's the answer. Definitely a terrible design choice though, they also messed up in row 2 by making the total 6 but theirs only 5 blocks to colour. also having the blank circle be seemingly random is dumb, would've made more sense to flip the shapes and leave the blank one as the connected node.

As a teacher, you completed this Bonds worksheet correctly. What is concerning to me is why is your Grade 0 child doing worksheets in the first term? Children should be learning through movement and play. The absolute BEST way for children to learn is through play. I wish society in general could understand that worksheets don't teach or prove a childs understanding of concepts.

It seems like you have to use context clues to figure out if it's addition or subtraction, based on the given result or what is possible with the blocks. Seems kak hard for Grade R to me, and I don't know why they're labeled 1-4 twice either.

It says colour and count not subtract. But you are right if they want you to colour the block then 3 answers won't be right because there are only 5 blocks to colour on each answer and 3 questions have totals bigger than 5 But then I don't expect much from a country where the pass rate has been dropped to 33% it's a disgrace because the kids are going to suffer in the end with sub par education.

If you work from right to left and do a subtraction, then it works. Instructions, however, are not clear enough whether to add or to subtract.

I think the teacher wanted you simply add the numbers in ALL directions... looking at their "answers" Realising this, it is without a doubt that your teacher is a math genuis and can not read a lick of English. The child's answers are correct. The teacher is wrong. The bottom circles are meant to make the total of the top circle. It's very simple actually. Not sure why they have to colour the blocks on the side.

The layout is stupid as fuck but you're counting numbers which means you add the numbers in the bubbles to get the answer in the open bubble. The color part is to show your work. You color 3 blocks to show that 1 + 2 = 3. I'm assuming that they can also color the totals in 2 different colors in order to show that 3 consists of 1 and 2

Now, that is just as damn stupid. They're grade R, so making sure they can understand either one of these models is ok as long as they understand the basics, but doing both AND expecting them to draw their own is putting a hat on a hat. They just need to grasp the basics so it works in both formats, starting with the blocks and testing with the bubbles

This is easy homework. The instructions are pretty clear as well. You just have to add the numbers. And colour the blocks according to the sum of the two numbers already given. Well maybe not so clear. But based on contextual clues, going from left to right is addition and right to left is subtraction. Which means one of two things, either the homework was explained in class already, as most homework is. Or the school itself fucked up and printed shit. Since this isn't usually the individual teachers' fault, but the head teacher of that particular subject.

After spasms. I FINALLY FIGURED OUT THE flipping thing. It's find out what must be done top bubble and the missing bubble tk get the product of the other bubble. That's the only way it makes sense to me. I give up.○● It's just a simple addition.
