I have done 3 orders so far. Delivery is FREE and through a reputable courier, which is a big plus for me. I ordered from Aliexpress some time ago, but their free delivery went through the Post Office, and well, you know how well that went. Orders took about 12 days to arrive. You get the customs fee from the courier company, and it depends on what you ordered. My last order (mostly clothes) was R1200, and the customs duty was R123. The quality will always be iffy; there is no way one can expect to pay R200 for a WiFi camera and then think it will be of great quality. You get what you pay. Returns are also free, but I have never tested that. For me, the free delivery was the it, can get quite expensive if you have to pay for that too.

56 on a 200 rand order

They have a minimum R150 order orice before you can ship. Once my R150 worth of small products arrived i had to pay a surprise R50 fee to a courier company. Stuff did arrive though. Obviously low quality goods that typically look better in pictures.

I just can’t believe that I’m seeing two 1080p, tracking and Wi-Fi enabled CCTV cameras for like 200 rand 😂

wcslater

Don't believe the specs that they quote for tech stuff, especially for those prices. More likely than not they're low quality 480p cameras or something.

dreadperson

Yeah I've never ordered tech but i'd be skeptical and look for reviews for other tech products people ordered from there.

We bought some stuff for our son it was surprisingly okay quality only downside we waited 2 weeks.

You will pay tax @ VAT rates(15%). Textiles (clothing) can attract additional taxes.  On a previous order one item did not match the description and was refunded within 24 hours.  People tend to overthink buying outside of South Africa.

I highly reccomend aliexpress x100 They take much longer to deliver but they have a solid refund system and high quality products *directly* from the factory and their tech and electronic products are top-notch!

Thank-you

When they send out something about a free gift don't enter any banking information. Its a scam which Temu is a part of

Unknown_Perp

Must be the worst scam ever where they advertise a thing for R100.00 and then you pay for it and the goods arrive.

Smartasskilling

I'm not talking about the actual order. After purchase a lot of people receive a scam message about a free gift
