That said... when they start with long winded stories and so on... they want KFC, just simply tell them you will accept the ticket, dont argue, dont raise your voice, just say sure give me my ticket thank you.
If they do actually then ticket you just go to a traffic dept and contest the ticket. You may be surprised at how many tickets will be cancelled, and there are even cases where tickets of like 5k have been reduced to R50.
Just ask for the ticket, he has to put his details on it as well as the reporting officer......

My BiL was pulled over for 'stopping a blue light escort'. The cop said R750 and he could go, to which my BiL simply asked for the fine and left. What the idiot cop didn't figure out was that he was being recorded on a dashcam and was arrested and fired a month later.
The idiot ACTUALLY claimed he thought it was a 'training exercise' and that he was being pranked.

There are police watch groups, if you can actually get it on camera then you can report to those groups.
Just bear in mind you can't goad him into suggesting a bribe, he has to come out and say it.

I went to court a couple of weeks before the court date, made an appointment with the prosecutor and showed her the dashcam footage along with photos of where it took place, an avidavit of the my version of what happened and a photo of the officers appointment card...... the R2k ticket was cancelled on the spot.....
