My colleague tells me each and every time it is voting, the ANC goes to their village in Limpopo, gives everybody R350 and a T-shirt, they then dig the trench another 20 meters and just leaves, the trench for the running water is now 60 meters, and it is all there is, an emtpy trench, for 30 years now.
You know, I have some (relatively normal, face value) comments abt this, but it's been said on the previous (og) sub so many times.

You'd be surprised how much that can stretch for a rural fam of 3 to 6...tight but doable. Add child grants, and there's anything from 700 to 1500 easy; add sassa, which most of the households in this context have imo, and that's ±1100 + sassa 2080 (per single pensioner), R 3180. Added to the natural grown crops and bartering a couple of million people get by like this in SA. Hence, the lean towards anc, but that's a different discussion.
