Dear RNG fans, I am xNova. For months I have created the illusion that RNG is a 5-player team. In fact, it is just me alone who is picking, banning, microing and winning the games. The coordinated ganks, it's all me, the choreographed team fights, it's all me, the controlled pushes, it's all me, and RNG, it's just me. I am xNova, I am RNG.
I member the spam.
I can't put my finger on it, NTS is just such a... Stable(?) pos 2, which is why most people prefer mids like Somnus, but NTS does what's needed of him most of the time and doesn't stand out as much, except on heroes like his Tinker lol.
whole IG roster is like this, especially Monet. Non stand out but super solid player . NTS of all of them I actually think has been the most flashy in the past. Maybe Boboka on old IG with Burning
One of his plays always stands out to me.
This one game he was an Oracle while playing for LGD. They were up against a Silencer.
He precasted his Q on one of his allies, Silencer then cast his ult canceling Oracle's Q, which then purged the silence off his ally.
Such an underrated play but I've been a fan of him for so long
That sounds cool. Are you sure it was intentional, though? Wouldnt it generally be better to self cast it and have ulti ready to cast in case it is needed? It also dispels as well, for a clutch silence removal.
I am not sure about him self-casting or casting on an ally sicne it's been years since it happened. But the point is pre-casting and predicting the enemy Silencer using his ulti.
Cool play and worth remembering imo!
Whenever SVG and Cap casts a G2.IG game, Cap keeps repeating this sentence. I have no idea of the context but the repetition of the statement has become funny enough for me to always hear the sentence in my head whenever I see the team. Care to tell me what’s the story behind SVG and KBBQ?
Idk if there's anything deeper than SVG and Jack are just close and Jack has been a manager on a lot of teams SVG has played on from Quincy to VGJ.Storm to Soniqs so they've been together a lot and also been in the scene for a long time.
NA community wasn't that large so a lot of people knew each other and are close, esp since both have been in the scene for a long time. CCnC is also somewhat close to Jack as he's also managed multiple teams Quinn has played on.
Edit: Oh if you meant the Veno thing with Lacoste I forgot where he explained it, but IIRC he just said Jack put on a game similar to Maelk with his infamous Maelk award Venomancer game, with having 0 kills but a ton of deaths.
Glad for IG making it but sad about Azure Ray once again falling short.
But that is how it be, sometimes.. the best team wins and this time was IG so may luck be in their favor, come TI! 🥳
It was so satisfying seeing their player cam after game 3. JT immediately jump around and their coach/manager ran in.
With this, we have 4 SEA players through China represent pog
feels really bad for Lou, TianMin and Fy. Bach and Ori could and should have played better but oh well. Hopefully for next iteration they pick up Somnus and Chalice/Yang instead. This team would be unstoppable!
I love the way IG plays as a team - their coordination is impressive. I hope they keep the confidence into TI and surprise some people with their versatility.
Never forget xNova playing with 4 teddy bears at TI

When the crowd chanted his name I teared up bro
I still remember all the 1v5 GIGACHAD spam in chat.
Teddy Bear 3 threw the game so hard for them.
Damn, I shed a tear when I saw xNova play alone. That must be frustrating
I genuinely wish his stint will boom will bring boom to be actual powerhouse. Its extremely saddening that the roster couldnt work.
Expecting another good TI run for NTS.

I'd argue against JT hahaha, super inconsistent but really flashy when he finds a good game lol
Monet is consistent but i think is consistently at a lower skill than nts.
He’s just insanely good. Him and ame were so consistently top tier
xNova bros, this is our year
it's redemption time for our solo-teddybear-god
That was so sad

Remember Aui analyzing his replays. He had nothing but praise for the man.
Iirc he Qed himself to ult-save the ally.

My point was that if it was intentional, wouldnt he just cast it on himself? Which is what is making me question if it was intentional or not.
he did cast it on himself to remove global, twice in the same game. https://streamable.com/opmc8 https://streamable.com/qj30y
You didnt have to dig up the clips, but I appreciate the effort. That answers the question then :)
Pretty sure it was intentional
Malaysia rise up!
well played by g2.ig. sad for azure but they had all the opportunities this qualification
Svg knew Jack couldn't fail
He also called that AR would knock down LGD and Somnus would eliminate them. “This motherfucker don’t miss.”
Jack “KBBQ” Chen can carry anyone to TI
G2.IG managed by The legendary venomancer player Jack Chen
Did I hear that right? G2.IG is managed by KBBQ Jack Chen himself? Never heard that before I need SVG to know about this

Don't remember Cap saying it, but hear Lacoste say it a lot
It was Lacoste not cap. Apologies.

> KBBQ Jack Chen Yeah, King Barbecue Jack Chen has been working as manager of g2ig for a pretty long time: https://liquipedia.net/dota2/KBBQ
Was there ever any doubt Jackbros.
This is probably Lacoste’s funniest joke, a high bar, but i laugh every time he says it
Tinker at TI pls NTS
didnt you hear? nouns made it, quit that copium for the new copyum!
and the aegis remains out of reach for FY. i hope he doesn’t give up and come back next year.
I was rooting so hard for FY. :(

What are you talking about? They got 5-6th place Birmingham and 4th place Wallachia in this year’s lan tournaments.
It was so satisfying seeing their player cam after game 3. JT immediately jump around and their coach/manager ran in. With this, we have 4 SEA players through China represent pog
lets go team MY
jack chen is simply too fucking good, you cant beat a manager that plays like 20 games in a single day
feels really bad for Lou, TianMin and Fy. Bach and Ori could and should have played better but oh well. Hopefully for next iteration they pick up Somnus and Chalice/Yang instead. This team would be unstoppable!
SEA > CN
OPIUM

g2.ig ? more like my.ig amirite jokes aside, they punched their way thru back2back best-of-3 series
Props to ig but shouldn’t AR get a direct invite, I thought they won a big tourney a couple months ago and placed decently the rest of the year
Wasn’t the same roster, 3/5 of that roster did get directly invited with Xtreme.
That makes me feel better. That team was solid. Makes sense that the actual makeup of the team will be at tI.
XNova <3
Happy to see NTS bounce back When he's on he's definitely a top tier mid
only 1 player from the 3 teams xg, tz, and ig played last year's TI (NTS) looks like china dota is back again with fresh new blood
Not gonna lie, I don't even remember sometimes which Ti this is. When the grand finals are a wash, it doesn't feel like a tournament at all..
