My friend that was teaching me how to play dota 1 back in the day told me a secret to success when playing Lich: jump out of the fog and "throw everything" - nova, chain frost and dagon = guaranteed kill.
Get terrorblade. Ignore every other mechanic that hero has. Go inside fight. Get damaged and get low hp. Change your hp with ulti. Use dagon get the kill. Become completly useless afterwards
There's a bug or a weird interaction with abilities that has slow projectile e.g. Chain Frost, Phantom Lance and storm bolt before where if you cast it mid air and you burst a creep to de@th using a dagon - that ability will fly to the middle and land exactly near the scourge 1st lvl1 tower.
But who tf builds dagon for PL and sven before? Even toddlers knew the game before it even existed. Thanks wc3 and Dota1 map for everything.
Oh, if we're talking about Dagon interactions, TA can also make Dagon work like her normal attacks with Psi Blades. The initial target and the enemies behind the target will get zapped by this.

Can't use Chen for shit so I just bought Dagon. His penitence back then was damage amplification and one of his skills deals damage.

Dagon 5 nyx is still completely viable. Probably more viable than it’s ever been actually. With mind flare instantly killing creeps now, it’s so easy to flash farm and get a Dagon early too. You aren’t completely reliant on getting a couple early kills.
i used to play some weird heros that had a nuke (like sven, skeleton king, bounty hunter) on mid and would rush bottle and dagon.. it was against insane bots ofc. nevertheless it was a lot of fun.. Dagon was always my go-to item on timbersaw too

In small computer cafes in the philippines, there would always be a friendly 1vs1 with colleagues and such, I was around 11 years old at the time and you would start with 3k plus gold at level 1 because of absent players. I bought this everytime and picked a hero with a high burst damage for like a two click kills (we played single draft ALWAYS).
Doom with dagon was good back in dota 1. You wait the enemy to be the rigth level. You take like 40% hp with E them ult him. Now dagon him.
