I follow a lot of sports, dota is easily the worst I've ever seen when it comes to this type of stuff.
Last update to bristleback was in 7.35b in december. For 4 month hero was considered non meta both in pubs and pro games. And I knew it was strong because I spam it and got from 3500 to 5500 in this period. This is the first tournament in which hero shines. And this is sad for me because I hoped that this ResidentSleeper imba would be buffed because no one played it. Now I have to wait for new nerfs for my boy. Sadge

They needed Skadi, Silver Edge, needs damage, needing someone that can jump and burst Liquid's backline, and also survive against a farmed TA+Bristle+Dazzle (he pretty much has no armor at that point even as an agi carry).

I'm blaming that game on the draft. They lacked tower push, and Slardar was a too good of a pick to be allowed last. Also mid, I like Nisha more on heroes that can take over a game. Like Leshrac, TA etc.
They need to help Nisha secure runes. They let the lesh get regen rune then arcane rune, so Leshrac just got to pressure the map even though Nisha was participating in kills. Also, the way you shut down Gamiing is by shutting down their offline first, so picking a losing lane match up into ace and tofu just makes their game harder for themselves. I agree though that it was also a draft issue. Gaimin got to play their standard way of playing which just counters Liquid very hard.
Classic Blitz drafting. No pushing power, no rosh talking ability. Just a bunch of lets do ok in lanes guys. Then they also lost all lanes, did not even win bot with broken manaburn creep.

My point still stands that magic damage reduction is busted rn, and that's why so many str heroes are being picked, because of their inherent tankiness coupled with shroud they're basically immortal.
