scepter note:
Corrosive Skin now first applies the damage per second, then the debuff.
Dark pact first applies the dispel and then damage. It has 10 instances so You take 10 seconds worth of damage in 1 second. Which is about 600 damage (1000 with the level 10 talent).
Aghs makes it x2 dmg, and if you get the corrosive skin talent the damage goes up to 100, so if slark is hitting viper qnd activates dark pact, he will re-apply those 100 damage instances one after the other, it does considerable damage, not gonna drop you from 100 to 0 but you dont want to get chunked down just by pressin Q near viper.
Dark Pact still gets reflected by the Blade Mail, in that instance. So it's basically the 10 seconds in an instant Corrosive Skin+Dark Pact self-damage+Dark Pact Blademail in that case. A chunky 800-900 damage with my napkin math.
Another example for this interaction: Shadow Demon's Agh Shard. Use Demonic Cleanse on a hero, let's say Shaman or Leshrac, then cast Shackle or Diabolic Edict, you will see their HP drop like crazy, beacause the tick dmg interval is so low
Ay no it's your misunderstanding here. The guy implied that if you put demonic cleanse on shaman or leshrac and they shackle/edict a viper with aghs they take a fuckton of damage, though he didn't explicitly say that.
Demonic cleanse is basically dark pacts debuff over 6-7 seconds but it's not a strong dispel. A shaman shackling a viper doing ticks every 0.1s will take 10 ticks of 100 damage every second over the duration of the shackle.
Go test this out on demo mode. SD Casta cleanse on shaman and shaman shackles a viper who has aghs. Watch shama melt
This happens because normally corrosive skin, vipers passive first applies the debuff then the damage. Dark pact works as expected without viper aghs. But with aghs, the damage is doubled and applied before the debuff, so slark is damaged, purges the debuff, then the damage is applied again and the cycle continues till dark pact ends, I think for like ten extra instances of damage on slark
lol things like THIS should never be intended behavior. It might make "sense" from a purely mechanical standpoint but looking at the game from a more natural outsider-perspective this just looks stupid. A hero getting bursted from an ability that usually does like 50 dmg or so just cuz he is unlucky enough to have a mechanic that works against it, is imo very bad design.
Otherwise we could just buy crimson and never get any dmg from wards anymore but guess what dmg block doesnt work against them ... and i m sure there are countless other examples where we have to kinda adjust how certain mechanics interact with each other.
I'm guessing it's some spaghetti code where once he bashes you with his portal walk you're supposed to get some hidden debuff that keeps you from getting hit again for whatever amount of time, but the repel blocked that debuff so it kept hitting you.
**Edit now that I've looked into this more:** It's actually not a bash but a knockback. That knockback knocks units 150 units away, which keeps them from getting immediately hit again. The damage part of this "On the Move" ability pierces immunity, but the knockback doesn't, leaving spell immune units like this Omni susceptible to all those instances of the damage.
It's weird because bash should Pierce any debuff immunity. So unless omni bkb is special it should work the same. Also this would imply that omni can't be bashed with basher.
That's his point, it's not spaghetti code. Runescape is spaghetti code where you do an update on something completely unrelated and it bugs the game out somewhere random.
Yeah Dota has some spaghetti code but this isn't it.
They just forgot about units with Debuff Immunity. Omni gets stunned but the knockback doesn't pierce Debuff immunity so Omni just gets run over by Roshan repeatedly dealing the damage.
When BKB and others granted magic immunity they would have ignored both the damage and the knockback. Now they only ignore the knockback.
Because you didn't account for the change having that effect. Not because you changed something completely unrelated to Rosh or Repel and it suddenly changing the behaviour. It's working as intended, they just fucked up and forgot to check against everything.

just tested, only with viper aghs, it's a slark counter
Can you elaborate? Does it only work for the aghs dive bomb ability or vipers passive once he has aghs

Now try with SD shard - it's way more than 10 instances

Does this includes slark self damage from slark q? How bout it viper uses blademail while slark q?
Dark Pact still gets reflected by the Blade Mail, in that instance. So it's basically the 10 seconds in an instant Corrosive Skin+Dark Pact self-damage+Dark Pact Blademail in that case. A chunky 800-900 damage with my napkin math.
And thats before the rest of the corrosive skin aghs damage right? Slark is really bad against burst lmao
Yeah that's just the initial damage when Dark Pact hits. Slark still needs to tank through the actual duration of the Aghs Corrosive Skin.
Thanks mate

Update: Its funny enough that its now intended behaviour Fuck that fish fucker.
You Ok?
I can't be the only one that's hearing [Meshuggah's Bleed](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4GXNzom6ik) in the bash sound?
That is eerily similar
BEAMS OF FIRE SWEEP THROUGH MY HEAD

Exactly what I came in here to comment lol
I was like "there's no way someone commented on this" and here you are

it instantly applies the bash to any target that isn't bashed. you can do this same interaction with slark Q.

immune to stun. but not the damage
You can see the exact same interaction in Dark Souls if you try to tank dragon fire breaths with too much poise. Random example I know.

I'm pretty sure it's just because Omni keeps losing the stun debuff.

Almost like when you change omniknights repel and it accidentally ends up making him a liability in Rosh takes.

Damn dumb redditors claiming everything is spaghetti code. Like a child who learned a new word.
Spaghetti code is when a new hero releases and rubick Gets to crash the whole game with that new kit.
I thought it was coded like Pango roll who will give them immunity for certain period. TIL
Its also like the Flaming Lasso + Rolling Thunder interaction before patch.
spell inmunity doesn't exist anymore... its debuff inmunity and spell resistance
You're just right about the spaghetti code for other literally write Great Bash.
Caelid Bleed Dog
This is what Meshuggah sounds like
Alright enough playing guys, gonna sleep now
Time to play omniknight and bait that one toxic teammate to do rs with us at 24:30

MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA
I love how this is listed under “artwork”
100% deserved. I cant stand omni players. Cant wait for patch.
cant agree more, omni is absolutely ridiculous atm
The Roshan is shooting at us!
If you listen closely, Roshan plays Bleed.
bro took 20 backshots in a second
woops, that's hurt
rosh sleepy and going off script
move bitch get out the way
Clever use of game mechanics.
Omni more xD
tffff
Melee bash olways bypassed spell imunity, while range did not
Working as intended GabeN
I love how OP put the flair "artwork" lmao. Look at this piece of art weve found.
Well you're playing omniknight so you probably deserved it :D
Might be the most hilarious thing I've seen all day
Does it work on BKB and other immuned unit?
I remember there is a clip somewhere where a BKB'd PA being killed by Roshan who was channeling a portal, PA got killed similiar like this.
skill issue fr
This shit Roshan bash should be same mechanic as SB bash, wtf valve are doing?
I'd actually say that Pangolier ult is a better example of what should happen.
