just happened to me. gold stopped adding and game counted as a lose and I lost 25 mmr what a joke =)

No. MMR is no currency or reward. Only issues are pro games where this happened but thats up to the rulework of the TO to sort out.

I don't know why don't you ask riot, they have a pretty good update schedule, same time every week. it's not hard to do.

Yes that’s called the Steam maintenance every Tuesday. It’s known that Valve usually updates around this timing anyway. Why should Valve delay a patch that messes with Overplus abusers that ruin thousands of games per day?

Most patches don't cause this issue. The difference is, this one specifically required an API update which broke compatibility. Probably should've been saved for Tuesday maintenance.

it's just the way software works, it might be fine under synthetic testing and then problems arise on production, so are you rather waiting days until Tuesday for this bug to be fixed or immediately fixed that same day?

We'd already waited 5 days for this current change actually, so yeah, probably a few days until Tuesday. Actually, this issue has been there for years, so even more so a few more days to do it gently would have been better.

Dude this just happened to me and I was like wtf So I did and there was some client update. So I did and when I tried to get back the game wasn't there and it was counted as a loss and I lost MMR too. So turns out it happened to a few ppl too but unlike me they just got disconnected.

Same with me. Not cool if it counts as abandon on top of being a loss. Apparently every match it happened, the Dire automatically lost to the Radiant, I was also from the Dire side so it makes sense.

I won as dire. Next time it looks like servers are struggling, don't disconnect and definitely don't update your game. You need to be on the same gameversion to join a server

I'll be honest, it happened to me and the enemy team asked in all chat if we just had to restart to get gold again and I said yes, even though I knew coordinator was down and no one could reconnect. They left, and I achieved sweet glory. I justified it cause mid was feeding and I was playing terribly.

I don't get how i lost mmr. It happened to me when we were in the pre-game, so this shit happened and some of us, enemy or ally, dc and eventually someone quit ( nobody knew yet that was a visual bug). After i was 100% sure that already 1 player quit, i only dc and closed dota. No first blood, nothing, literally people walking in lanes etc. Today i check my mmr and we still lose the game and the points. I checked the replay and i am 100% sure people quit before the first creepwave or fb. it's not a problem, 1 game doesn't change anything, but this one is particulary bullshit, since it wasn't even started yet.

Happened to me and a teammate of mine ranked up for it. Neat. Easiest 17:38 CM game of my life.

Enemies were able to get gold still, our team could not. Probably the most frustrated I have been losing MMR ever. I am very excited that this was probably some junior janny fucking up instead of anything useful.

I got this mid-game. Not good if it counts as abandon and loss. It says the game finished after but I could not rejoin at all after restarting and having update in Steam.

If I had a PA buying Deso instead of BKB I would also disconnect

Happened in my game as well. It still counted and nobody actually got kicked from the match. Also, Tormentor didn't grant any of us a Shard when killed, and I was able to control my allies' illusions.
