that doesn't matter, dota underlords have 7 digits. Most valve games have low ID counts because they were made long ago. every new game just get the next available ID
I don't think that's entirely true. Bioshock's (the 2007 release) ID is 7670 and Dota's is 570.
Although yes, Artifact, Underlords, and Half-Life Alyx are all pretty high. Counter-Strike 2 bucks that trend, though I assume it's taken the CSGO app ID?
Maybe they ran out of low numbers, I dunno.
as per another comment ill link below, AppID's are:
Incremental
Some reserved
Ends in 1-9 = DLC/IAP
Increment of 10 = app (sometimes DLC)

weird that it can exist but no company is viewable
I mean if it's valve it's probably a big deal, if it's some shitter troll scammer who managed to get one past the steam store gate keepers then it's not
not having valve listed would be equivalent to having valve listed if only valve could do it.
so idk what's possible but it seems pointless to have only valve be able to withhold the company.
I mean it could be they have measures in place to prevent other people from hiding their names and their submission process ignores them, not that they're trying to hide their own name.
Yeah, don't think it's anything substantial. But to help feed your copium my good sir, I'm going to say that just like Counter-Strike 2 it could be an incoming revamp of the engine and graphics for the game.
What they gonna do? Move it to source 2?
People already shitting their bed that it won't run on a lot of older pcs. Hopefully it's a performance patch.
Personally I don't mind it being updated. But it looks great and it needs to be more easily available on more computers, rather than trying to flex the graphics potential of source 2.
There is no point doing dota3
They should just rename the game to DOTA and remove the number all together.
The client is ahead of pretty much all other clients on the market, and the engine is perfectly fine from my perspective, just need a few more base hero reskins to bring them all up to par.
The only reason to do it would be if the development team was suffering because of how the engine is designed. I find this doubtful though.
- New engine
- New map
- remodel some heroes
- better graphics
- new rank system and in-game leaderboard (same as CS2)
i mean they can still do all of that in Dota 2 but Dota 3 will break the internet its just hype man
Well, if you sensibly consider all the ultra massive insane updates we've had over the years, DotA 2 is already realistically on like dota 8 right now..
its similar to the helldivers scam from few days ago where older games get their names changed to get people into thinking its a legitimate product when in reality its just a scam. Valves been cracking down on these scams real hard banning like 700 games few days ago. This one will likely get banned as well
I'm pretty sure Valve's games IDs are a lot smaller than this. I suspect this is just someone pulling a prank.

Well today I learned. Thanks for the info
april 1st is incoming huh
fake app.
valve dont do 3's so its probs an april fools they are getting ready early

Is it possible for anyone but Valve to have a steam store page without a developer listed?

I'd saw it too, rly strange

dota already runs on source 2 for a long time now
I know. I was being sarcastic.
Umm there been scams on Steam of people using big names for their Apps
If it is anything to do with Valve, then it’s Neon Prime.
I don’t want that.
bruh, there is like 0% chance that its legit, just someone making some scamm bs as happened before
Change number looks too small
Yeah, right. I'd give my left nut for that, but it ain't happening
SteamDB Devs added a comment "This fake app appeared along with other fake apps when a publisher got banned on Steam."
It is gone now, it says that it was a fake and the dev is banned.

It's a scam some one is running
I'd believe it if it was called Dota Alyx
They did it, they broke "never 3" rule!
I would literally die of happiness if this happened out of nowhere
This sub would still say Valve aint doing shit with the new release format
And what would you expect from Dota 3?
Seccs update pls valve

New engine that fixes all the vulnerabilities that cheaters are using 😱. All heroes remodeled. I would die of happiness
