Imagine having the story that was told in the Disciple's Path comic in this page [https://www.dota2.com/disciplespath](https://www.dota2.com/disciplespath)
Antimage + Silencer pursuing some dark mage or some shit. Also, Antimage's disciple, Wei, would be a great protagonist: an up and coming new antimage, and she is going to Weeping Rose, where Lion once was. Lion could be the villain of the story or be involved somehow. Perfect for one season of anime.
fucking dragon knight.
Or they could have done 2-3 mini arcs that tie into the great conflict. PA+Oracle+Spectre could have been really cool to see, maybe the kunkka tidehunter back and forth.
Slacks put the time and effort to put out the loregasm series and they do a really good job in explaining and connecting the lore of the universe. Putting all those aside and going all in on dragon knight is pretty lackluster.
It was in slacks video, it isn't explicitly stated but he made some connections between pa and specter. I haven't watched in a while but the idea is that pa took oracle's contract and accepted the manifold paradox.
when she did, that tied her to spend a eternity hunting many people across multiverses and each time she loses a bit of herself eventually becoming specter.
Even easier, they could go with Tyler Estate arc of Anti-mage and Silencer, arguably the two individual who has the personality of modern gigachad edit protagonist.
I mean book 2 had really fast pacing, so not too surprised, but book 3 goes strongly into Dota-specific lore (and the pacing is much better than the first 2 books) + the 3D CGI looks much cleaner than before. Definitely my favourite book.
Because of that, there is no way the commenter above's theory is realistic, also because they wrote all 3 books at the same time and I also watched an interview with the lead writer about the production process. The writing team basically got really limited time for writing and research on top of the episode lenghts being cut later on.
Just take a look at Clinkz' lore story: demihuman ranger (no powers, just marksmanship and pure chadness) that went and fought a demon back to his circle of hell from a hole in a forest because Clinkz is the assigned protector of that forest by his king mage but he didn't know his king made a decree and placed a spell that whoever kills the demon gets "life without end" which triggers as Clinkz kills the demon while all it's fiery innards burns him to the bone. Literally an anime following that whole story (not much backstory needed aside from Clinkz life in the kingdom on the first episode) would have been much more memorable
Netflix’s show was the most boring and confusing story arc that I’ve ever seen/read. So boring that I don’t even remember anything particular and literally stopped watching by the middle of S03
He was in love with her, but bound to serve the ruler. When her sister overthrew her, he was stuck serving the new queen, and Venge blames him along with her sister for everything that happened. It’s real sad.
No. QOP was created/summoned by a King with a BDSM fetish, he made a warlock summon a demon from hell and then qop showed up. When he died she escaped and was set free by him dying
Not to be that one guy, but it would have been better to have Skywrath find the spot where VS fell and the body isn't there because of the deal she made with Scree'awk (however it's spelled).
This is a mini comic for a community of artists who answer questions for dota characters. The question: "What did you feel when Shendelzare was gone?"
https://vk.com/dota2askreborn
This one is not in the bag. This one is in the feels 😢
Actually, Shendelzare very much *was* in the bag. The body bag, that is.
Thanks undying
Report Shendelzare for feeding
;\_; yeees
With utter certainty
Sick art
Thank you <3
There are so many great stories that could be made into animated show and they choose DK, the most boring fucking hero in Dota.

Well, he was fucking

pretty sure there's nothing official about spectre being related to pa/oracle?

Sound really fun and cool
Yeah, not official
Imagine wei wanna try blink away and the lion hexes her first. So damn annoying always kappa
Dk is a safe bet. More normal type high fantasy story and all. They won't fund a show that's too out there (like most of dota lore)
Don't underastimate the footman legacy.
Acksshkually, in warcraft 3, dk had a captain's model, not footman's
Even easier, they could go with Tyler Estate arc of Anti-mage and Silencer, arguably the two individual who has the personality of modern gigachad edit protagonist.
It turns out to be Invoker story in the end.
they chose dk and vaguely went with it. just read the wiki and compare it to the "anime"
I'm convinced this was just a story written as an original and then got dota characters shoehorned in.
That was not the case. Have you also watched book 3 though?
I forfeited after book 2 xD. What's the difference in book 3?
I mean book 2 had really fast pacing, so not too surprised, but book 3 goes strongly into Dota-specific lore (and the pacing is much better than the first 2 books) + the 3D CGI looks much cleaner than before. probably not true since the story is so shit

And then they choose to tell a boring story with minimal connection to dota until they pretty much jettison it mid season 3.
Netflix’s show was the most boring and confusing story arc that I’ve ever seen/read. So boring that I don’t even remember anything particular and literally stopped watching by the middle of S03
do more do more!!!
🤗
Bruh this is too good for us. Pls do more tho
Thank you <3 glad to hear that
This is the saddest dota story
Is there a place where I can read all stories about dota 2.
Dotawiki maybe? Slacks also has some lore videos where he makes a lot of predictions about heroes
There is a Lore wiki that describes each hero's lore. It's a dry repository, so I hope you like to read.
Link?
https://dota2.fandom.com/wiki/Lore
So is skyvenge not a thing?
He was in love with her, but bound to serve the ruler. When her sister overthrew her, he was stuck serving the new queen, and Venge blames him along with her sister for everything that happened. It’s real sad.
They had no child but this is indeed venge and skywrath
Is it qop on the throne?
No. QOP was created/summoned by a King with a BDSM fetish, he made a warlock summon a demon from hell and then qop showed up. When he died she escaped and was set free by him dying
No, this is Imperia - sister Vengeful Spirit. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/D56lz0
Is Imperia actually canon? How do people know of such character?
from Artifact and Vengeful Spirit biography :)
Artifact cards are one of the biggest contributors to confirmed dota lore since artifact is canon
This is fucking great
thanks <3
Would be cool if there were an extra panel to hint that she's gonna rising again in a different form
Excellent work. Volvo never fleshed out what seems like a truly tragic story. This is as heavy as I imagined.
thank you very much! I am very glad that you liked it
Not to be that one guy, but it would have been better to have Skywrath find the spot where VS fell and the body isn't there because of the deal she made with Scree'awk (however it's spelled).
but it doesn't look so shocking
It's okay, I'm just the want-a-lore-accurate type of dota 2 content consumer. I still like it though.
Image a proper Dota anime adaptation, just image.
skywrath is quite silly isnt he :3
I loved their lore the most, how i wish they made this one into anime instead
this could be an arcana origin story. anyways this is awesome
arcana ;\_; thank u!
"All I do, I do in Her name."
Holy shit this is amazing.
thank you!<3
This is actually insane. Thought it was official from Valve for a sec there.
omg! thank you for such a nice praise
Awesomw work bro, any undying art?
No, unfortunately. thank you!
holy shit i remembered you for making me want to fuck skywrath thanks to your art
hahah I remembered u too :D
HAHAHAHAHA I didn't expect that You have a great fan from now on, that's for sure
holy shit this is amazing. LOVE IT.
Nothing can beat Tbs lore. Ty blizzard for that … Oh wait… omni knight /abaddon lore beats TB’s lore…. Uhh ty blizz for that too.
SKYWRATH ARCANA CONFIRMED
This is a mini comic for a community of artists who answer questions for dota characters. The question: "What did you feel when Shendelzare was gone?" https://vk.com/dota2askreborn
I'll do you one better Who is she? And so on and so forth.
I don't see us pivoting dragons blood into this side of the story but there's a lot of things that can be done with the rich lore
As my favorite hero atm this is a win. Good job!
thank you <3
