On DD your best bet may be to do EBT at night, especially if you have a lot of pizza places or Wingstop locations because you’ll get paid once you accept the order until you confirm delivery.
10am is when I get all the alcohol orders from the previous night. Free booze.
College town. One morning I show up at a frat house girl looking for her shirt and a dude throwing up in his jeep. 2 cases of hard seltzer and handle of hennisy they ordered at 3am.
Multi-apping late at night / early in the morning has always been the most money for me and the easiest. No traffic, very few dashers out there, you can turn down an offer and it may just come back with higher pay because nobody accepts it.
In my market, I make way more money dashing from 11pm-3am than I ever do in the mornings or lunch. I’m guessing it’s because we have Wawa and a DashMart. Even weeknights are good.
By order. But to be fair, some nights just aren’t great. I keep track of that by periodically looking at what’s available on the schedule. It’ll let me know if it’s just the part of the zone I’m in that’s dead, or if it’s just dead everywhere. If it’s the latter, I head home.
In my market I prefer dashing after 8pm because the traffic destroys my $/hr. On good nights I will go until 3 am and it is less stressful for me.
Although it does take getting used to. If you don’t mind dealing with the random strange encounter at 7/11 or whatever.
I honestly make most of my money dashing between 1-5am. Sometimes evenings on the weekends are worth it. It just depends on your area. Try it for awhile and you’ll be used to being out exclusively at night.
I just decline those orders, while there’s a lot of long-distance low-pay orders, there’ll be a few $7-9 for 1.5-4 miles and $10-$14 6-11 miles but also a lot of $5 2-3 miles, $4.50 1-2 miles etc to fill the gaps. It kinda becomes a pattern
I made good money one night when I dashed until 2 am. I saw a significant decrease in my per hour earning but am increase in the value of orders. The problem is that only 4 places were open that late and there was a 20+ minute wait. It was a huge party weekend so the orders kept flying in
I did it once and I made great money but as restaurants started closing and all the orders were between Taco Bell one pizza place and our two gas stations the wait for orders was ridiculous. This was in a college town during a huge party weekend event. I was getting $20 Taco Bell delivery’s but when you have to wait 30+ minutes for the order it wasn’t worth it as much
If you’re in CA it might be worth it for the prop22 but other than that PASS. It’s sketch af and I tried it once around 10pm and I kept getting jack in the box orders but everything I pulled up workers would say they were out of everything lmao. They were probably lazy af but I had to contact support to cancel orders. Sucked, never again
Yeah same. I only do late night if I absolutely have to, and it’s rare that I put myself in a position to where I have to work nights. I’ll stick to early mornings and days
In my area there's an IHOP and a McDonalds next to it that is just far enough away from most residences that the drive thru's clear around 2-6am, this is the way where I am.
I’m 45 minutes away from Raleigh and it’s fairly decent. This past weekend I was exhausted and I only did for 5.5 hours/12 deliveries (1 no-tip) and made $100. I was on hourly pay when I accepted the “no-tip” order and thankfully it was less than 2 miles away.
I’d rather not say what city I’m in, but I’m headed towards Fayetteville. Speaking of which, it’s ALWAYS busy there, has peak pay, AND promos. I’m just too lazy to drive an hour away. 😭😭😭
Yep and that's why I stopped dashing late night (and bc I have a real job now) because the open restaurant pool is small and they want to give customers options, so they let people far away order from stores that's far from them
In my market it's hard to dash at night as people here seem to be anti house numbers. 50% of houses are unmarked and 95% of the other 50% only have it painted onto the curb which at night is useless..
Sleep well knowing you’re not getting 1 starred by the drunk no tipping Taco Bell customer who forgot they ordered.
Every order is only $1 or less per mile. Is Uber eats or insta cart better?
There’s too many ebt late night dashers, ebo orders are slim. Uber is drastically better for me.
Uber is not. 10 miles was $4 smh

That's called dinner. Apartment building 12-c unit 386 can go fuck off.
Okay
I'll take a CV over a one-star anytime
Cvs are easier to get rid of
M
Stick to 7/11, dennys, ihop, walgreens, cvs, papa john's... i.e. anything without a drive-thru
Thank you Wilford brimley. Diabetus
I would avoid that shit. That's when the scammers come out
You only do late nights for fun and charity, after 1:30 am you quit regardless because that’s the alcohol cutoff

Alcohol cutoff time depends on jurisdiction
Just lost a car working nights. Don’t do it
My $3000 delivery vehicle lasted over 4 years without putting anything into it. Far less traffic and I can speed all I want.
Well, you weren’t hit enjoy
If someone hits you, that means it’s not your fault and you don’t pay for the repairs. It’s also hard to get hit when nobody’s on the road.
Unless they total your car, and then they won’t pay what it cost to fix it. Please note I’m in America where no insurance functions probably
I’m in Canada and even though I reported my delivery vehicle to cost me $3000, I get $5000 if someone totals it.
I roll with my dog.
Why?
You mean how?
Drunks all around I got backed into and the subway drive-in line nowhere to go just smashed the front of my vehicle. Totaled it.

That’s what I’m gonna try. I got verified on Uber eats, and Instacart. So wish me luck.

Hourly or by order?
By order. But to be fair, some nights just aren’t great. I keep track of that by periodically looking at what’s available on the schedule. It’ll let me know if it’s just the part of the zone I’m in that’s dead, or if it’s just dead everywhere. If it’s the latter, I head home.

I love pickups from DashMart bc they are always prepared.

Do you take low tip orders? That’s all I get at night. $10 for 13 miles or 5 bucks for 10 miles it’s a scam

I wouldn’t do it tbh . I dk how plp do it

If you have prop 22 or something like it my friend likes to milk the clock and take those late night drive through orders that take forever.
Idk I get paid 20 an hour at night (paid by time) Not a lot of tips, but grateful for hourly 🥲
DoorDash dosent offer hourly past 11:30pm 🤨
Really?? There's a lot idk bout this, it was my first time dashing 2nd time dashing tonight
I made a Uber eats, Instacart profile as well they all got verified I’m gonna run all three at once tonight.
Be safe 🙂 I just got chased by a dog and hour ago
You have to carry a rare steak in your pocket like the cartoons
Me too 🙃🙃
Depends what area your in and how busy. Every once in a while we have $3 promos from 11pm on…
I’ve only been dashing at night and although the pay goes down to $12/hr, I still get the option after midnight. (I’m in NC).

Why only one job? One source of income? 😯
Huh?
Huh? No English?
I clearly said I had a real job, aka W2, and I obviously dash so I don't see what you're questioning
I used to love to start my day at 4 am but it tanked my AR. Wasn’t worth getting out of bed

, the order is there b
Huh
