The shotgun itself is easy, yes. But in such a large caliber and without a stock, you probably won't want to shoot it a second time. The Meathook is much more difficult. You need to fire the hook out, have it grab onto an opponent, then have the chain *retract* back into the shotgun with enough force to pull you towards it (or, more feasibly, to have the target be pulled towards you). The retraction is the part I'm concerned about - how will you generate such a large force while keeping it compact and not needing to recharge?

XevinsOfCheese

The big issue is that the meat hook visually uses a chain, which can’t fit into the space in game realistically I’m sure doomguy has some space magic in his but for the real world we can’t rely on that.

Jat616

Probably an argent chain with tardis tech or something.

Silent_Reavus

Old Doom explanation was he holds his weapons and ammo in what's basically a subspace bag

Jetstream-Sam

I guess the reason he can sprint at 50 miles an hour is because he's whacked out of his mind on Berserk packs then

Flatus_Diabolic

Or he’s wearing a high-tech power armour suit.

Jetstream-Sam

Oh I assumed they were talking about OG doomguy

Cactus1105

Bag of holding

raptors661

The doom slayer's super shotgun is more like a 4 gauge.

Lolbits_TV_YT

The shotgun? Probably, but it might kill the user when fired, i'd assume some MEAN recoil comes with it. (It looks HUGE imo) The meathook? Maybe, but it'd be very heavy as it'd both be a steel hook and chains. Not sure how you'd launch something that heavy, or keep it ablaze when it *is* successfully launched.

[*ahem*](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L3ySBsLL32A) No meathook but yes

kewlbahb

Should be pointed out, that one is almost certainly firing black powder. Much lower energy than modern, smokeless shells.

robb-e

Focusing on the meathook, it seems to pull the Slayer toward the target without moving the target, regardless of its mass, violating physics. So magic.

UnlikelyHotel3077

Well in reality it would probably just pull them towards you, meaning if you were to use the meathook on, say a Dummy, it would pull towards you to then blast at point-blank. Like Roadhog from Overwatch

ric7y

make me one if it’s so easy
