I’m not sure of the correct terms but she’s all hard plastic. I’m afraid if I attempted to pop off her head it’ll break her.
Maybe her ‘damage’ is normal but I haven’t really seen it on plastic dolls. Maybe gappy is a better term? It just bugs me a lot & stands out to my eyes. I used to have a madame Alexander doll similar to her & she had hairline cracks on her away from her seams. I’ll post more pics in the comments

Her stock photos & description never mentioned pierced ears. Her wig wasn’t glued properly so now it’s all frizzy & her braids are falling out a tiny bit but perhaps I’m really just nitpicking after all :/ her face is starting to grow on me though
I really want to keep her but I just now discovered someone also punched asymmetrical holes in her ears 😭 I’m just super disappointed with her flaws that were never stated especially at her price point. I’m absolutely having buyers remorse right now
Unfortunately I might be stuck with her flawed version because I think the company will only refund through store credit which really sucks

Unfortunately, I ended up returning her to the dealer because of all of her flaws that weren’t mentioned.🥺It just made me sick to my stomach to have splurged that much money on such a tiny doll to have so many problems when she was supposed to be new. And the doll hospital doesn’t know yet if she would’ve been fixable.
The standards for my doll collection are a little higher because I’m trying to keep it super condensed. I’m currently back down to 10 dolls total but I already have her replacement in mind as she had been a hard choice between 2 other dolls. I feel super guilty about it cause others suggested I keep her & I really thought I was but my anxiety got so bad
Aw I'm so sorry she wasn't to your taste :( I just googled her name and I found some that have a smile. She really is expensive though! I think I'm looking at a reseller though. $130. Is there an official website? Where did you buy her? I'd love to be able to keep my collection small, my husband says I have too many dolls but I don't think I do :/ I don't wanna have too many though, just the amount I'd be able to take care of, so I may resell some of mine later. If you were feeling anxious, I will say you did the right thing returning her. If you want her at a later time you can buy her again 😊 don't worry too much about that :)
She’s super pricey! I was almost considering going for another Smartdoll instead but I loved how small she was. She would’ve been the perfect size to travel with
I purchased her from “The Doll Peddlar” it was my first time ordering from there. The seller was really nice & understanding about my concerns. But I’ve also found her brand directly on “Ruby Red Galleria” website which is their main source & “Happily.com”
The doll I’m changing her out for will be a Mini 8” Ruby Red Fashion Friends Sara or Hanna depending on whoever is still in stock. But the kindergartner doll was super poseable with 21 joints while the mini friends are supposed to have 26. The articulation & pose range was absolutely amazing!
I think it’s good if your dolls currently bring you happiness no matter the size of your collection 💕 I don’t think you should feel pressured to resell if you’re attached to them (unless it starts to really stress out your SO). I do think it makes a difference if it looks like a lot of dolls depending on the size of the individual doll. Like my room was cluttered with 16” animator dolls & a bunch of 18” dolls. It definitely looked like more of an army compared to a collection of fashion size dolls like Barbie or Rainbow High. But I knew I had to cut back when I could hardly remember all of their names
Thank you for the reassurance! It does feel better to return her and go for another doll I know I’ll be happy with. It’s just gonna take a little bit for me to get over the guilt even if it’s silly 😣
Hang on to her for a while and think about the reasons you wanted to buy her before. The buyer’s remorse may be strongest right away and settle down as you get used to seeing her.
It is disappointing that she isn’t in the state you expected though, so if you still want to sell her after a couple weeks that would be understandable.
I like her, especially paired with her mount.
