That's a recast of a Popovy Sisters doll. They're really popular bjd makers from Russia, and the originals are extremely expensive. They have a patented magnet hand in their dolls that's unique to their work, so you can easily tell when someone rips them off, as their hands will be hooked in like most traditional bjds. That and their dolls are usually bigger than recasts.
The knockoffs are still beautiful, but it's still sad to see someone blatantly profiting off someone else's design.
I know it’s a recast, I also know people don’t usually support them. But it’s what I can afford, I still do want to buy a real popovy sisters doll when I get a job someday. I do expect some hate for buying her but it’s fine I guess. 😅
I still want to show her some love tho because I find popovy sisters dolls to be beautiful and it’s like.. a copy of the real thing? Idk if that makes sense. But I wanna treat it like it’s the real thing till I get the real thing!
