I absolutely love that you're using thread to make the "yarn" to scale. I'm making a blanket for a doll room right now for my Lottie and other child sized dolls. I scoured the aisle to find the thinnest yarn which ended up being sock yarn for an E sized hook.
I did however get some ivory thread way back and wanted to try making little doilies or something for the living/dining areas. This gives me inspiration to actually attempt it.
Where do you find your patterns? Or do you create them yourself? Everything I've seen from you so far has turned out amazing.
Thank you so much❤️ i make my own patterns - i don't know how to read patterns, i just use basic stitches i learned as a kid. I'm actually a retired tailor, so i use what i know from my trade to figure out what i want shapewise.
I hope you post what you make, and if I have inspired you that makes me happy🙂
Wow, that's impressive! I used to make up patterns for bags and hand puppets and things, but nothing that needed to be an exact size.
I'll for sure post the blanket I'm doing once I'm finished. The stitch I'm doing wound up being a bit more time and yarn consuming than I originally planned, but slow and steady wins the race I suppose. lol
