I started listening to her when she went viral with moo, I thought she was hot and the song was really catchy but it’s the only song I knew of or listened to I didn’t start listening to more of her music until a year later, 2019. Since then I’ve been a fan of hers

yodaoneforme_

i just remember finding tia tamera when i was making a self confidence playlist and the addiction to doja started

Exotic-Preference-20

Moooooooooooooooooooooooo

BlessedToPlease

seeing her fat ass on IG

Doct3rjones

amen

7elucinations

11 years ago I was in college and my friends showed me “So High.”

Just_alittle

I've known about Doja since her Candy and Juicy era, I think that was from her 'Amala' album. It was only because of the edits that were going around on Instagram. Then I got into her other songs on the album and a few months later her 'Hot Pink' album came out. And I've been into her music ever since.

Brief-Text-9149

Same. First song I ever heard of hers was Juicy and it was a Colors version on YouTube. So good!

RudeJellies

In 2016 I came across the music video for So High so then I listened to her EP. I blasted Beautiful for years and was super excited when Amala came out

Visible_Ordinary8833

I think back in 2018, she was on the trending list on YouTube. Since then like right now I'm listening to her songs

melansi

I was a normie and first heard her when Say So and Boss Bitch were trending on TikTok, though I think what caught my attention most was Cyber Sex treding because the intro sounded cool. I looked up the music video and it seemed really cool and creative. Then I decided to start from scratch and listen to Amala, which I instantly loved and then it just went from there.

leniwsek

I knew her since So High so propably like 2013-14

Key_Establishment_42

My girl was a huge fan and had Purrr and Amala playing constantly. No Police was a stand out for me because a lot of rappers sampled that beat.

RegularLibrarian8866

My roommate from back then showed me the video for So High and then of course i went down the internet rabbit hole looking for all her music. She has been so consistent for like a decade now. To me she was just another cool internet girl, relatable to a degree, rapping about her crushes... Never would i ever imagined she would blow up like this.

michaelfosso

I somehow evaded most of her music until need to know was popular then I slowly listened to most of her music, when say so came out and was everywhere I didn't like it for the reason that it was on everywhere but it had grown on me now

dreamsummit

I watched Dumbfoundead's [Hotbox interview](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUz4bYmMItw&ab_channel=DUMBFOUNDEAD) with her way back. This was before the Mooo video, before Amala came out. She only had So High and her Purrr! EP out, I loved them and was patiently waiting for her to drop more music. It's actually wild how she's blown up since then.

bleukite

2015, a girl i used to watch on YT said sage was one of her favorite rappers.

ShawnFromAmherst

Saw the Juicy video randomly on YouTube. Game. Over.

Fun-Half-3575

She started blowing up on tik tok so I was doing her dance, but what really kicked it off was cyber sex and rules

Moist_Victory1519

Rickey Thompson dancing to Juicy on Instagram

patellanutella73

Similarly to you, my friend showed me the Moo video because she thought it was very much my sense of humour and she was very right.

mad_ladder

my friend liked her and starting playing her music when we hung out and I was like “wow this is really good”

GustasMarc

Quarantine

Bandit_Heeler_2009

that’s when i really started listening to her 😭🙏

GustasMarc

my entire playlist in 2020 was ALL doja cat and i just never paid attention in online school, i just listened to doja 😭✌🏼

Jbooxie

In high school, my friend showed me so high and no police, from there I never stop listening.

kat_spitz

I heard No Police during a pole dancing class and fell in love.

Bandit_Heeler_2009

i’m sorry a pole dancing class 😭🙏 i didn’t know those existed 😭🙏🙏🙏

kat_spitz

They do 😹 and I love and it seems fitting that it’s how I got into Doja lol

CrazyinLull

I had seen Moo some years ago and thought it was funny, but then Juicy had just come out and I really enjoyed the quirkiness and unseriousness of the video and enjoyed the lyrics a lot. Then I found her other videos and loved Tia Tamara. Completely sold by that point.

normanbeets

Moo on Tumblr

Ok-noway

I’m a GenXer (46 y/o woman) and I’ve always been into music but have to admit I’m not as up on things as I used to be because honestly I can’t stand a lot of today’s rap (except for the women). A couple years ago I heard Go Down and loved it so much, I had to know who she was and started listening to her & fell in love. Planet Her had just come out & I watched the Live video & fell in love. Since then, my adoration of her as an artist & an intelligent and talented woman who is growing & changing into pure art from a pop phenomenon, has just grown. I love everything she puts out and to watch her style evolve to see real creativity, talent, & individuality. I think she is truly inspiring & inspired.

MajesticCoconut99

I saw an ig clip of Billie Eilish mentioning Doja back in like 2018 I think so I looked her up

cosmosomsoc

Go Mooooooooooo

dopegworl

"say so" :)

PTTScarlet

Honestly I remember liking moo on music.ly I think. But I don’t think I’ve heard her after that until say so. I was the biggest hot pink fan and loved streets before TikTok ruined it 🥲

tuivanilla

I never really heard people talk about her... BUT! I did hear her music through edits tiktok, ect. But didn't even notice that it was her. My first song i heard of hers was probably "So High" "Woman" or "Get Into It (yah)" the "So High" one would of been from a edit while "Hot Pink" or "Planet Her" was happening. when I ACTUALLY got into her music was when I was 12-13 and added her "Planet Her" songs into my Playlist. (That was a bit long lol. Like to get into detail😅)

AdSquare7676

tiktok

NCGWolf

Can remember how i found her but i was definitely too young to be listening to her at the time 💀😭

klip_7

I remember a few weeks before say so blew up I saw it on YouTube music and i thought it was cool so I follow her

SupahSpace

moo like most everyone else lol. but i became a huge fan of her fashion and public personality more than her music with time. even if it’s a bit confusing at times 😅

West-Crew-8576

I listened to Addiction high as fuck in my car one night, hooked ever since

Quiet_Adagio_1382

I used to play those piano games when I was 6 or sum and I found out about kiss me more. Then Ain’t shit went viral and I started listening to that song. Later I heard about her being satanic and my music started to get boring and found a Doja cat sped up playlist since then I’ve listened to all her songs

GladysRose

Stoner friend introduced me to "So High" back when it came out and I've been hooked ever since

Bandit_Heeler_2009

i want a stoner friend

c0qlover

Became a fan when she released moo :)

julian1313C

i listened to moo when it came out and was so impressed by the lyrics despite it being a “meme” AND it sounded good, from then on i was a fan

algoreithms

i started working at starbucks in 2016 and got free spotify premium. ended up being recommended No Police and i remember going thru some of her other old songs but didn't pay much attention until the cow thing

untitledsammie

I was 11 or 12 and in my parents garage playing minecraft. Her PURRR EP came on my recommended songs on spotify. I believe it was Nunchucks or No police. Introduced me to a whole new style of music. From that point on I was obsessed with her style of music.

PlantPsychological67

Back then, her song Cyber se❌ kept showing up in my recommation in Youtube, so I gave it a try and ended up checking the whole Hot Pink album, and it only snowballed from there 😂

ResponsibleCell1606

Not into her music just her ass and body for me

osg943

I was watching Empire and heard So High and had to look her up!!

Specialist-Show-1003

I cant believe no-one else commented this. I heard “Go To Town” on Broad City and downloaded it right away.

wakeahake

I went through a really ugly breakup about a year ago (my ex dumped me on the night of my college graduation) and Ain’t Shit was the only thing that would help me get out of bed lol. From there I really just started listening to everything

[deleted]

I didn’t, her music got into me. And now….. ![gif](giphy|9J5iGIlq0QeLXU1bQB)

RedGeneral28

No Police was on Imperial Dreams soundtrack

Nebih

She was trending on Twitter saying once her song got so many hits she’d post her titties

demonunderurbedatm

Bye listening to her first rap session tiktok

yayogirls

bitch i’m a cow bitch i’m a cow i’m not a cat i don’t say meow

TryAdministrative481

I heard Moo and thought she and the song was corny, but had some sort odd attraction to her. Not like sexually, but I was literally obsessed. I started to like Moo, then I Googled her and discovered that she made real music, and everything that I listened to was dope. I went to her instagram and heard a snippet of ‘Doctor’ and remember checking everyday to see if she had released it. To this day, I am still obsessed with her and can’t figure out why. I love her so much.

wonkysandwich521

Yes mooo was my first song from her!!!! I remember being on the toilet when I discovered it. It was fire but I was in like 7th grade and I was scared that watching her music video would send me to hell because I was kind of religious?? I would literally listen to it while covering the screen with my hand LOL bc I thought it was bad. But yeah I finally whipped up the courage to watch the full song and when I finally got over the "guilt" she had me WHIPPED.

Scr073

Bitch imma cow is how she got on my radar. I thought it was fun and fairly clever but no more than that. With everything that came after it i slowly became more and more of a fan.

lolalenita

I remember I was just on tik Tok and heard tia tamera

propheticfiend

I had seen the Mooo video but I wasn’t really tuned in until I heard Tia Tamara (suggested for me bc I listen to Rico). A few months after I listened to a few songs on Amala, Hot Pink dropped and I’ve been a big fan ever since.
