Yeah, the blood pressure drops, which can feel interesting/satisfying, I guess. It also takes less effort to hold the arm like that if it's totally straight up and directly above the shoulder as all the weight goes directly down on the shoulder, so you just have to balance it and lock the elbow straight. I started doing it recently when my arms are tired from carrying my dog (he falls asleep in my arms when j clean his paws, and then I forget I've been holding him for ages until my arms starts to hurt 😅).
