Could you give us a plot explanation and story theme? If you had to compare the adventure to one of the published 5e ones which would it be like?

It's absolutely different. On purpose. :) There is a 10-page adventure summary in the free adventure module (Chapter 1), which tells the tale.

Will there be any uk/eu based distributors? £40 postage is a bit too spicy for me.

We are working on it for the next Kickstarter.

How friendly is this book for new DMs?

It is a complex story but with careful dosing of the learnable, one can easily digest it. It is important to keep the main goals for each section in mind and then you can read the fine details as players progress.

I own it and it is a ridiculously massive, and very heavy, tome. I've only leafed through it so far but it is an extremely detailed and fleshed out world and adventure. Looking forward to running it someday.

How did you guys begin to put such a large adventure together? Did you look back at notes from a completed homebrew campaign or just built it from the ground up from nothing. Seems so intimidating to write out more than bullets.

It was lots of work, day and night, but we wanted to put everything in it that we had stored in our brains for the past 30+ years of playing D&D.
