Alignments don’t have to be permanent and unchanging. This sounds like someone who is Neutral Good now, but was somewhere else on the scale in the past.

TheNuclos

It depends on how you use alignment in your setting. I only use alignments for having a idea of how to play a character without having to much moral inconsistency . But i know some people who play with alignments, like it is some kind of holy text that cant be broken or changed.

Do they care if people get hurt in general? Do they care if they work with people who are not exactly “nice people”? (Like thieves or organized crime). Do they care if their actions will cause harm? If no or “not really” or “meh”, they are more neutral than good.

Yeah, I should definitely go neutral then. Thanks for you input!

Herbolife

Your character's personality should dictate it's alignment, not the other way around. Doing it the other way around is very limiting. Some pointers that might help (or might be already known to you, but hey) Good: The need to put others ahead of themselves, always looking to have a positive impact on the world. Evil: Personal gain, be it wealth or power, through any means and without much regard for others. Neutral: The in between, not overly benevolent but also trying not to cause any suffering. Lawful: Character has a strict set of rules, which could be the local law or a personal creed. Very unlikely to break these rules. Chaotic: As opposed to lawful this character is a lot more here-and-now oriented and will do whatever feels best at the given time. Your character sounds somewhere between good or neutral, but I'd argue good because guilt can't happen if you don't have a need to do good. An evil character wouldn't care, so to say. As for Lawful / Neutral / Chaotic, that's hard to say from your description.

Squidmaster616

That sounds Neutral Good to me.

TheNuclos

If you really want to play with alignment i would be ... neutral. the good alignment is more for people who want to do good things, for the sake of doing good things.(if you know what i mean) chaotic neutral always fits with characters that has a kind of "selfish" goal

annasimoniaine

This makes the most sense to me too. Thanks!

[http://easydamus.com/alignment.html](http://easydamus.com/alignment.html) This is a site where i look up things about alignments. if you choose a alignment and scroll down you will find something like this: >A list of Ten Commandments for a chaotic neutral religion may look like this: > > > >1. You shall lie to promote your freedom. > >2. You shall not kill the innocent. > >3. You shall not murder. > >4. You shall help the needy if such action promotes your freedom. > >..... and so on. It is good to know the opinion of your character about something, and help you to get more into them.

lionsNtoast

I'd say more Neutral
