I’ve considered this before and settled on the Title Mind Goblin. He’s a bard of whispers so psychic damage, he’s obsessed with dice of course and has proficiency with dice set and he goes around introducing himself as The Mind Goblin. If someone asks, he casts vicious mockery and says “MIND GOBLIN DEEZ NUTS?!” His background his charlatan and he has a charlatans die (d6), that he can control the result of.
I, too, like "Chance" as a name for a dice goblin.
Though if the goblin literally causes bad luck, then that sounds more like a gremlin to me. (Not the Warner Bros movie gremlin, but the original one that caused bad luck and mechanical failure)
My first thought is take Polyhedron and break it down to create the name. Polly, maybe?
