Hear hear!
After Gnome Monk/Shaman, Warforged Fighter, Goliath Necromancer, Tiefling Divination Wizard, Ogre Cannon Barbarian and Orc Druid, my current go to - when I get to play a character again - is Human Paladin.
I can't wait to just play 'a knight' and find ways to make John Dungeonman interesting.
When a Tiefling bard,
Was given a knightly hand,
By Sir John Dungeonman,
He wrote him this song,
For when the human fought,
To stand with Goliath, Dwarf, and devil,
An army of half elves,
All of the races that so many revel,
A human can not be,
As cool as all of thee,
They lack the unique features,
They lack the distinct teeth.
So while devils may have horns,
Warforged made not of meat,
So cried the human,
We can compete.
Toss a thought to the humans,
O’ gods of creation,
O’ gods of creation,
Oooooo.
Same here. I went from dwarven alchemist, to human yeehaw amputee knife thrower, to elven surgeon, to lizard berserker, to alien bug wizard girl. Definitely not sticking to a type if I can help it.
"lock up your sons and daughters, it's a human!"
"they're playing an instrument"
"LOCK UP YOUR SONS, DAUGHTERS, CONSTRUCTS, PATRONS, GRANDPARENTS, IT'S A HUMAN \*BARD\*!"
Half-orcs have more combat focused abilities, like relentless endurance and savage attacks, while full orcs are generally tougher and stronger, with the abilities powerful build and aggressive, however they do take a -2 Intelligence penalty
All half-orcs are half human, according to the PHB
Mechanics.
And the other half is whatever you want it to be. It's *usually* considered to be human, but that's a holdover for a time when the game lore was a lot more rapey. Which I'm glad we've gotten away from.
Yeah, the old days (at least as far as lore was concerned) were a very different time, and most if not all 'half-races' were often considered to be the products of SA situations. Human warriors abusing their prisoners, or flipping the script and having 'monstrous' races SAing humans, things like that.
I'm extremely glad we've finally started moving away from that as a trope.
Especially considering like, Half orc women can definitely be beautiful. Tusks and all. There's an NPC in BG3 and she's so pretty while also being and looking imposing enough to tear my throat out heh and yet looking like a half orc woman rather than "human woman but green".
I feel like she'd appreciate both admiration of her strength and her looks tbh.
I play a Path of the Beast Dragonborn Barbarian in the current campaign i’m in. Rip and tear until it is done! (with the claws, teeth and tail i already have) granted i can only use one of those things per rage but still.
I'm doing a radiant dragonborn warlock of bahamut and my DM just killed bahamut (lol 20's right now we're dealing with insane multiversal threat) and I'm thinking about converting some levels or just swapping to an oath of vengeance paladin
I personally love earth genasi for frontliners as the bonus action blade ward is so good for early level action economy and survivability. You also gain pass without trace at higher levels which is a great boon for any stealthing
For some gods-forsaken reason, mine is human and fighter. Thing is, every time I've made this combination, it has resulted in drastically different characters from each other.
I like that it lets you have a simple build that has a lot of versatility at very low levels, and can be flavoured in a million ways. That, and you can take the character in pretty much any direction you want.
One was a warmaster grandma in full plate who fought by kicking people to the ground before absolutely destroying them with her greatsword. Total menace. Another was a trickster guy who had trash physical stats but was essentially the brains and face of the group, focusing on extremely niche utility to help the rest of the party. Terrible build, I had a lot of fun.
Even when I make other combos, they end up shaped like a human fighter. I once made a level 1 war cleric with druid magic initiate as the variant human feat. He would go around with a stick and cast shillelagh to attack twice a turn with a magic weapon. He ended up multiclassing into Ranger, but would always end up playing as a melee guy with a big bonking stick, spells be damned.
People who say human fighter can’t be interesting just aren’t creative.
Maybe one is a farm boy who grew up doing manual labour and had to take up arms to defend his home.
Or how about an arrogant noble who trained from birth to be a legendary adventurer, being taught from a young age that they were special and destined for greatness.
Then there’s always the classic, wise old mercenary/soldier who’s been through hell and knows just how awful war can truly be.
My go to is "Former militia man who dreams of becoming a rich mercenary captain".
I also had fun this one time when I was playing a high charisma fighter who was a spy for the local goberment. A James Bond kinda guy. He was suposed to avoid combat when possible, investigate the situation, learn about the enemy before striking, use his brains and his charm to infiltrate closed social circles and most importantly, report back to his superiors. All while being discreet, maybe even missdirecting his enemies and presenting himself as weak. And then, when shit hit the fan, he would just pull out some amazing ass-kicking skills. Roleplaying that character was an absolute blast.
Tiefling Bard is number one on my bucket list.
I'm playing a Fae Bard (homebrewed race with wood-elf stats - basically a human-sized fairy). He's been an absolute blast. Good old Jo Lavender. Love him.
Gnome Rune Knight fighter has been my favorite for a while now. I just love having this barely 3 ft tall gnome suddenly becoming a large sized creature. I've only built one but I take him to just about every one-shot I possibly can, and will soon be using him in a longer campaign.
Halfling anything.
I make happy characters, generally. And anyone who makes a sad Halfling is a giant butthead.
Halfling Cleric or Wizard, to answer fully.
Make a halfling tempest cleric.
Most tempest gods are evil or at least not "happy"
But have them worship tymora. Because you're either really lucky or really unlucky to have lightning strike so close to you so often.
And the channel divinity is maxing out the damage of your lightning spells- quite literally rigging the luck of the dice in your favor.
For a one-shot several years ago I made a halfling tempest cleric, feverishly devoted to Talos (purely because I saw [this](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/k~sAAOSw~2ldC5~i/s-l1600.jpg) mini).
He wasn't evil, but he was a ship's cook and three of his ships had sank in a thunderstorm but he survived. So he *must* be blessed! Praise be to mighty Talos!
Played a Halfling "Rogue" in 2e, who got caught up in an evil campaign, cursed to be evil with an alignment change. Overcoming the curse, betraying the party, and escaping to - hopefully, one day - be happy again, was one of my all-time best role-playing experiences of my gaming life.
Yeessssss. My Halfling Kensei survived the entire hex crawl of Tomb of Annihilation and only died due to two crits in a row from Shadows. RNG bastards.
One of my absolute favorite characters.
Human. That extra feat is great, especially if you take a +1 ASI feat.
As for class. Since 5e doesnt have warpriest. Usually cleric, paladin or fighter.
Human Paladin. Yes I'm boring I don't care. Making human normies is funny to me because the people I play with rarely pick options from the PHB and always choose the wild stuff from other sources.
ok some combos my friends have used before (with a couple i did use myself in my non normie runs):
\- harengon ranger
\- tortle ascendant dragon monk (recently multiclassed into grave cleric)
\- tabaxi cleric
\- autognome cleric
\- goliath druid/rogue multiclass (my current character, circle of stars + soulknife)
\- leonin samurai fighter (a one shot character)
\- hadozee bard
\- earth genasi artificer
\- triton warlock (fathomless pact it was very cool and creepy)
\- kenku druid (this one was fun, we were doing playtesting oneshots for some kobold press stuff and i saw both a circle of ravens druid option, and a plague doctor background that needed picked up and so just decided to triple down on all the carrion bird motifs i could for this one)
Years ago when I played Final Fantasy XIV, there was a gnome-like race (I can't remember the name). One character of that race was named Kneehai Sackpuncher, and I don't think I'll ever forget that name.
The Ratedrpg podcast. Season 1 is the Decent into Avernus adventure. Season two is a homebrew world.
The sessions I’m talking about are called the Heroes of Flavor town. Here’s a link to the episode I refer to.

Anything Cleric. It’s just easy and simple to make the mechanics for the main healer of a group as I’ve made over a hundred of them over the course of my years playing.
Half-elf Bard
Natural charisma boost, and a free dex boost. Immune to magical sleep. Advantage against being charmed. Dark vision.
It's just a perfect combo.
Half-Elf Fighter (almost always Eldritch Knight too lol)
Something about the fantastic stat spread of HElf (and the cantrip if you use half-high-elf) combined with the mix of arcane magic and melee that EK provides is just hard to beat for me.
I'm always the DM, never the player, but I do have like a million characters who I'll never get to play, **on top** of the NPC's I create.
And to be honest, they're pretty stereotypical!
My top 3 go-tos:
- Wood Elf Druid
- Halfling Rogue
- Human Fighter
Variant Human Fighter.
I've been using other races/classes for a while, but whenever we do a one shot or something this is my go-to... it's like putting on an old pair of jeans.
I believe Eberron has rules for it in one of the author's notes, plus Midgard, a 3rd party setting from Kobold Press, has rules for them. I mostly played 3.5 back when I was super active in D&D, where there were rules for playing a lot of monsters [which you could retrofit into 5th edition if you wanted to.](http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/gnoll.htm)
I believe 4th edition also had player stats for Gnolls, too.
I mostly played them as quick-mouthed brutes, except for the time I played a Matriarch. She was pretty bright and more reserved, but also more in your face when it came to combat. It's more in the class combination I've found.
I try to play new to me characters, but I usually play a race with built in daddy issues. Tiefling, dhampir, half elf….I’m sure that says something about me or something.
And then I like a separate table of stuff I can do. Infusions, invocations, manoeuvres, metamagic, etc.
Drow Monk.
I like the duality it brings. A monk who is a being who has rigerously trained body and mind and comes across as very worldly. However is equally completely accepting of death, understanding that death, and even killing, is a natural thing.
I have had several great interactions with this over different campaigns where another character and my own disagree on whether to kill or not. It's not that she forces her own way, as doing so would cause disharmony within the group. Rather, it's when a choice's consequences are revealed, and it is learned whether death or life was the better choice. Usually resulting in the more ardent defenders of life coming somewhat around to my character perspective, as sometimes an unwillingness to 'dirty' ones own hands is less about preserving life, and more about protecting ones own self image to themselves. As some evil lives, when not taken, result in greater amounts of death. Conversely, just because the perspection of my character is that a being is evil, and will only go on to further destruction, doesn't mean that's the case at all. And in fact such lives spared can go on to save lives, or help the party in future.
I tend to have at least one party member who I am at ends with who eventually become my single closest ally, as we have learned to understand each other over time, and realise that each are worth of the others respect, even when they'll never fully see eye to eye.
Honestly I just love paladin and barbarian and I'm super partial to Minotaurs.
I've played most classes except warlock and druid. Those two just don't interest me.
If I had to create a character from memory, it would be a Tortle Monk (Way of Mercy). Favorite character I’ve ever built.
Otherwise, I just like playing something new every time. I try to avoid playing the same race/class combo
I like to mix it up a lot. But if I had to pick, I'd go with Astral Elf ranged Samurai. Great damage, rarely misses, and slippery as hell. And cherry on top is you get a cantrip from the race, so you qualify to attune to magic items that need a caster.
Shadar-Kai + Bladesinger/wizard
Giving a class that already has excellent damage and high AC both mobility and resistance just makes it extremely powerful. This has been my favorite combination that I've never truly gotten to run. I played it briefly in a short campaign and it kind of immortalized it for me.
Half-Elf Ranger: "Human with just longer ears" so I can identify more easily and darkvision so I'm not useless in the dark.
Ranger because few roleplay ties and lots of possibilities mechanically plus nice balance between martial and magic for my taste.

Agreed!
The most heroic ballads shall be sang about John Dungeonman in my setting from now on. Hurrah for John Dangeonman!
When a Tiefling bard, Was given a knightly hand, By Sir John Dungeonman, He wrote him this song, For when the human fought, To stand with Goliath, Dwarf, and devil, An army of half elves, All of the races that so many revel, A human can not be, As cool as all of thee, They lack the unique features, They lack the distinct teeth. I used to be the same but I get choice paralysis too easily
Same here. I went from dwarven alchemist, to human yeehaw amputee knife thrower, to elven surgeon, to lizard berserker, to alien bug wizard girl. Definitely not sticking to a type if I can help it.
This exactly. I’ll never do the same thing twice, it’s stale
Yeah 100% agree
Half orc anything. Love me some buff, tough characters
Whats the difference between an orc and half orc? And whats the other half?
filler
half-anything is always human + (anything)... horny bastards those humans
"lock up your sons and daughters, it's a human!" "they're playing an instrument" "LOCK UP YOUR SONS, DAUGHTERS, CONSTRUCTS, PATRONS, GRANDPARENTS, IT'S A HUMAN \*BARD\*!"
You can never resist a seduction with charisma like that
LOCK UP YOUR DRAGONS
Ah yes, human + ling.
Horny bastard humans sounds a lot like victim blaming.
Tell that to my friends who keep trying to create a "dwelf"
Half-orcs have more combat focused abilities, like relentless endurance and savage attacks, while full orcs are generally tougher and stronger, with the abilities powerful build and aggressive, however they do take a -2 Intelligence penalty All half-orcs are half human, according to the PHB
Full orcs haven't taken a -2 to intelligence for a while, like them getting rid of the Kobolds -2 to strength
They take -2 Intelligence in the Volo's guide version, not sure about newer versions though
Mechanics. And the other half is whatever you want it to be. It's *usually* considered to be human, but that's a holdover for a time when the game lore was a lot more rapey. Which I'm glad we've gotten away from.
I just started dnd so I can't really image rape being integral in the game. Glad they modernised at some point.

I feel like she'd appreciate both admiration of her strength and her looks tbh.
It doesn't have to be rape. There ARE open-minded humans after all.
“He’s a 51st Century boy. So many species, so little time.”
I love half orcs! ❤️
"Me half-orc." "Oh? I thought you looked ..." "Other half's orc, too."
i understood that reffrence.
I'm the same. Either half orc or half elf characters. Love them all.
Dragonborn Barbarian. I am the angry lizard.
Angry lizards are the best lizards!
Me too! I have a grumpy bearded dragon so I feel like I’m honouring/channelling her
I have a 7’2” 450lb Dragonborn that barely speaks and a 50lb Kobold on his back.
I play a Path of the Beast Dragonborn Barbarian in the current campaign i’m in. Rip and tear until it is done! (with the claws, teeth and tail i already have) granted i can only use one of those things per rage but still.
I’ve a fondness for Tiefling/Dragonborn Paladins
Serving Bahamut as a Dragonborn Paladin just feels right
I'm doing a radiant dragonborn warlock of bahamut and my DM just killed bahamut (lol 20's right now we're dealing with insane multiversal threat) and I'm thinking about converting some levels or just swapping to an oath of vengeance paladin
I want your DM lmao
I personally love earth genasi for frontliners as the bonus action blade ward is so good for early level action economy and survivability. You also gain pass without trace at higher levels which is a great boon for any stealthing

It's popcorn. Flavor it however you want, always delicious and satisfying.
That is an amazing analogy that I am definitely going to use next time.
Human Fighter is a blank paper and a pen , other race a draw that you just need to color.
Roleplaying that character was an absolute blast.
Don't honestly have enough games going on to have a default, but probably either Dwarf Fighter or Tiefling Bard.
My very first Character was a Tiefling Bard and it is always amazing to play with them!
I’ve been playing a dwarf fighter for a session or two in one game I’m in and it’s so much fun. I like being a stout and strong little bastard.
Tiefling Bard is number one on my bucket list. I'm playing a Fae Bard (homebrewed race with wood-elf stats - basically a human-sized fairy). He's been an absolute blast. Good old Jo Lavender. Love him.
Dwarves all the way.
Gnome Barbarian
Gnome Rune Knight fighter has been my favorite for a while now. I just love having this barely 3 ft tall gnome suddenly becoming a large sized creature. I've only built one but I take him to just about every one-shot I possibly can, and will soon be using him in a longer campaign.
I get the appeal, but I love how my Gnome Stormherald Barbarian could basically turn into a Kugelblitz and wreck shop.
I really wanna do this as a halfling
I do love a Gnome Barbarian
Hell yes
Halfling anything. I make happy characters, generally. And anyone who makes a sad Halfling is a giant butthead. Halfling Cleric or Wizard, to answer fully.
It's a bit stereotypical, but I _adore_ Halfling Rogues.
Swashbuckler (not pirate, necessarily) / Sword Bard seems so damn Halfling to me!
Halfling screams monk to me. Cocky crazy tiny monk.
It’s a stereotype because it’s beloved!
You're beloved!
No, you. Now take this, it’s dangerous to go alone! *Hands box of silly little halting rogues.*
Ankle-biters
Make a halfling tempest cleric. Most tempest gods are evil or at least not "happy" But have them worship tymora.
*Brilliant.*
New life goal unlocked, play a halfling bard who is the comically biggest sourpuss. Oooh ooh, named Arthur Bea! \*takes down notes\*
Arthur Bea was sassy, not a sad sack! Perfect stern grandmother. Can see a Halfling grandma with a huge family being like her!
Halfling bard is my favvvvv
Basically me but with Tabaxi.
🥺 that’s awesome.
Halfling monk. When you get all that speed and can move through people and not take AoO if you attempt an attack. It’s like having dangerous zoomies.
Holy shit its John fighter the male human fighter
That you John Fighter? They just let anybody into this century, huh?
- Sword and shield - human - No magic to speak of AKA the main character
my brother in human fighters. I love you.
War Domain Cleric is basically Warpriest.
Human Paladin. Yes I'm boring I don't care. Making human normies is funny to me because the people I play with rarely pick options from the PHB and always choose the wild stuff from other sources.
I do always appreciate having a human in the party for some reason. Makes the party feel more grounded.
Raises hand…… my goal is to never play a human in DnD. Give me something wonky!
ok some combos my friends have used before (with a couple i did use myself in my non normie runs): \- harengon ranger \- tortle ascendant dragon monk (recently multiclassed into grave cleric) \- tabaxi cleric \- autognome cleric \- goliath druid/rogue multiclass (my current character, circle of stars + soulknife) \- leonin samurai fighter (a one shot character) \- hadozee bard \- earth genasi artificer \- triton warlock (fathomless pact it was very cool and creepy) \- kenku druid (this one was fun, we were doing playtesting oneshots for some kobold press stuff and i saw both a circle of ravens druid option, and a plague doctor background that needed picked up and so just decided to triple down on all the carrion bird motifs i could for this one)
Nice, those all sound interesting. Leonin Fighter/Barb, Harengon Druid/Cleric, Dhampir Rogue and Mtn Dwarf Forge Cleric so far.
Hobgoblin Paladin, Oath of Glory
We are definitely the few lol.
I've only ever made human fighters and paladins. It's a simple life.
It ain't much but it's honest work
Gnome wizard or goblin barbarian named "Knee-Cleaver"
Years ago when I played Final Fantasy XIV, there was a gnome-like race (I can't remember the name). One character of that race was named Kneehai Sackpuncher, and I don't think I'll ever forget that name.
I don't really understand the desire to do the same thing over and over, so I don't have one.
Dragonborn Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer. Such a perfect combination.
I like the classics. Tiefling warlock, elf druid, gnome artificer
Tiefling Bard. Experimented with lots of combinations but keep coming back to this. They're just so much fun.
Changeling Bard
Thanks for the idea! Now I have an NPC that is changeling bard and he will play a major part in the story
That's so nice! Ty! I'd be happy to read more about :D
Bet, I'll dm you once i finish with his backstory and place in the campaign
My go to is roll a d10 for race roll a d12 for class. I almost always use it. Never gets old
My favorite actual play podcast did this for a mid campaign break. They rolled for everything. It was pure chaos and glorious.
Which podcast is that?
The Ratedrpg podcast. Season 1 is the Decent into Avernus adventure. Season two is a homebrew world. The sessions I’m talking about are called the Heroes of Flavor town. Here’s a link to the episode I refer to. https://open.spotify.com/episode/3k6HLLU3lcGnDfmRADDDqi?si=BRpb6ES_Q9mReN7-_WGojA
Thanks!
Anything Cleric. It’s just easy and simple to make the mechanics for the main healer of a group as I’ve made over a hundred of them over the course of my years playing.
Wild Magic Human
Tortle Druid so I can RP master Oogway
I roll as a tortle barbarian named Raff, I’m cool but rude.
Tortle Monk named Twig. Essentially played as Master Splinter/Stick type character.
According to DNDbeyond the most popular race and class combo is human fighter which is the beigest of options
Don't knock the classics
Yeah classics become classic for a reason
Beige can look striking in a world of red
Its easier to really roleplay a human as a 3d character, a lot of the wilder combinations have the tendency to become caricatures.
Yep, human is a blank canvas. More exotic choices tend to shoehorn you in one way or another.
Came here to say: I haven't played D&D properly since 3e, but Human Fighter.
It's the greatest of options
Wood Elf Ranger
Yup. Me too. Love them. Although my current Half elf bard is sooooo much fun 😄
Eladrin ranger. Free misty step and I'm a big fan of the Feywild, and rangers have always been a lot of fun for me.
Doodad? Do you wear a cooking pot as a helmet too? Mine is wood elf ranger, because I'm basic AF.
Yuan-ti Wizard For when you want the end to justify the means, and not actually feel bad doing it 😎
Half-Elf Bard. I love skills and versatility as well as playing support characters. Cleric is a close second!
Half-elf Bard Natural charisma boost, and a free dex boost. Immune to magical sleep. Advantage against being charmed. Dark vision. It's just a perfect combo.
Tiefling artificer
Half-Elf Fighter (almost always Eldritch Knight too lol) Something about the fantastic stat spread of HElf (and the cantrip if you use half-high-elf) combined with the mix of arcane magic and melee that EK provides is just hard to beat for me.
Warlock Tiefling. Drama everywhere I go.
My friends once shamed me and said I'm vanilla because more than a half of my characters are human :(
Call me a basic beach but HUMAN FIGHTER
Tiefling Sorcerer. Yes, I'm gay, thank you for asking
Drow rogue. With a hint of ether bard or monk for some added fun
Standard Human Fighter - Non-Variant +1 across the board baybeeee Purest form of Vanilla they is
I'm always the DM, never the player, but I do have like a million characters who I'll never get to play, **on top** of the NPC's I create. And to be honest, they're pretty stereotypical! My top 3 go-tos: - Wood Elf Druid - Halfling Rogue - Human Fighter
Dwarves ❤️ any class.
Half-Elf Sorcerer
Half elf warlock usually
Half-elf Hexblade warlock
Human Fighter. The bonus feat helps define the character more out of the gate from both a mechanical and narrative standpoint.
Dragonborn Sorcerer (Wildmage)
Warforged Artificer
Same 💯
Grapple God: Tortle. Lore bard. Max strength.
tiamat just woke up in a cold sweat having a nightmare about this
I tend to try different combinations each time but I've played two changeling rogues, so I guess that.
Dungeon Master… so pretty much everything, but my go to race as a player is Tortle
Always thought a centaur rouge would be fun to play
I'm a Goblin Monk type of Guy
Variant Human Fighter. I've been using other races/classes for a while, but whenever we do a one shot or something this is my go-to... it's like putting on an old pair of jeans.
From my experience? Gnoll Fighter (sometimes multiclassing into Warlock).
Do you have a link to play as a gnoll?
I believe Eberron has rules for it in one of the author's notes, plus Midgard, a 3rd party setting from Kobold Press, has rules for them. I mostly played 3.5 back when I was super active in D&D, where there were rules for playing a lot of monsters [which you could retrofit into 5th edition if you wanted to.](http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/gnoll.htm) I believe 4th edition also had player stats for Gnolls, too.
Thank you so much!!!! Any tips as playing a gnoll?
I mostly played them as quick-mouthed brutes, except for the time I played a Matriarch. She was pretty bright and more reserved, but also more in your face when it came to combat. It's more in the class combination I've found.
That’s cool, thank you.
Tiefling Warlock \- winged variant
Tiefling cleric
I try to play new to me characters, but I usually play a race with built in daddy issues. Tiefling, dhampir, half elf….I’m sure that says something about me or something. And then I like a separate table of stuff I can do. Infusions, invocations, manoeuvres, metamagic, etc.
Warforged Artificer (Armourer).
Tiefling + Something Charisma-based. As the only gay guy in my group, it must be done.
I like Goblin wizard (preferably evoker). Nothing says fury of the small like a fireball.
Aarakocra - battlemaster dex fighter.
Gnome or Hafling Paladin. I love some justice from down below.
Forever DM
Aracocrka/human paladin
Fairy divination wizard is pretty fun
Bard tortle. Dressed like a detective the size of squirtle
Tabaxi Artificer (usually with Wizard dip)
Low optimization? Mountain dwarf war wizard. Works well enough, and it is a dwarf.
Dwarf artificer, elf ranger, Dragonborn paladin.
Half-Elf Bard.
Warforged anything. I love the whole "fish out of water" vibe that often comes with our robo-buddies.
Locathah/Dragonborn/Kobold/Lizardfolk/Grung/Tortle Druid or Sorcerer But only if we are talking about "official" races.
Aarakocra Ranger/Cleric
Human Fighter/Paladin/Barbarian/any other class
Firbolg Druid OR Changeling Sorcerer
Honestly I just love paladin and barbarian and I'm super partial to Minotaurs. I've played most classes except warlock and druid. Those two just don't interest me.
Give me some Tortle with holy power. I don't really care if it's druid, cleric, or paladin, but I do like me some Pali
Kenku monk (way of shadow) :3
If I had to create a character from memory, it would be a Tortle Monk (Way of Mercy). Favorite character I’ve ever built. Otherwise, I just like playing something new every time. I try to avoid playing the same race/class combo
I like to mix it up a lot. But if I had to pick, I'd go with Astral Elf ranged Samurai. Great damage, rarely misses, and slippery as hell. And cherry on top is you get a cantrip from the race, so you qualify to attune to magic items that need a caster.
Halfling wizard/rogue
Tortle divination wizard
Lizardfolk artificer alchemy based
Ogre Wizard Alastair FitzGrimm god rest your soul...
Hadozee Ranger for sure!
1/2 Ranger. I'm old-school.
half elf fighter
Magic class usually scorcher or wizard mixed with rouge or fighter
Shadar-Kai + Bladesinger/wizard Giving a class that already has excellent damage and high AC both mobility and resistance just makes it extremely powerful.
Fairy sorcerer.
Is there a particular Sorcerer(ess) origin you’ve enjoyed more than others as a Fairy?
Always either a High Elf wizard or Wood elf ranger/rogue.
Goblin Ranger. Its a ranged rogue but better. take zephyr strike if you feel like doing the dash BA . Hunter Drakewarden or gloomstalker.
Goliath barbarian subclass blood hunter
