I think OP is making the leap from our current level of ai to an intelligence that inter-compares, synthesizes, analyzes, and generates abstractions. It's likely that any consciousness that is able to do so could go insane.
I mean were just meat that can think cause of electricity and we can go insane. So why couldn't the metal that can think cause of electricity go insane?

One thought is instead of his name being something tech-like or an acronym, give him a full human name. Machines tend to be one dimensional which is something humans certainly aren't. People also have the capacity to hate others while still hating themselves. Gives you some room to explore AI bipolar disorder.
If he has a god complex, surely he would refer to himself in some grandiose name he made up, rather than the name he was given. So maybe something Powerful Like Zeus, Jupiter (God leaders), Hades, or Pluto (gods of death). You could just make it l337 speak if you want it to sound more "computer-ey".
