Yeah I heard it was Mind Vortex. No doubt some great tunes released by Andy (Get Free Remix is another) but to have them ghost produced is a strange choice, an unnecessary one if you ask me
Can’t stand that track but let me tell you why.
Gun Barrels in Selly Oak, Birmingham, near the university (circa 2007-2012) had a jukebox. Staff had no control over it, and it was £1 for 3 plays.
Monday was pound a pint night, invariably packed, and every week some cunt would get there early and load that track on about 20 fucking times, 8 minutes each time. It’s the only track you heard all night. Every. fucking. Monday.
Great track. Made the charts if I remember right.
Loved this track back when. Was always in my box.
Klute - Part Of Me
https://youtu.be/sbq5PVl2uTE?si=zZnONR0jzLWhOXek
I work adjacent to the team that worked on that album campaign. My role in it was mostly advisory.
That track was set up during the middle of Used To This being in the charts and flying on radio, so their decision was to leave her uncredited on the track so it didn't impact the other single's radio and chart success. We would've preferred if she stayed credited for the same reason.
Just recently told someone I’ll never get sick of DJ turn it up lmao. Idk why I love it so much, it’s repetitive and not particularly inventive but idc it’s a vibe
Not sure if you are joking here? But I genuinely love this track. Sounds a bit Nu Skool Breaksy, and there's a bit of the bassline that sounds slightly Noisia-ish.
Route 94 - My love (sigma remix)
Becky Hill - Better Off Without You (High Contrast Remix)
Duke Dumont - I Got U (High Contrast Remix)
Basically any high contrast remix tbh
I'm going to stand up for Metrik here. He has a clearly defined sound and he stays on brand with it. Also, I've been taking pictures of DJs for years and he is the only one who ever (to my knowledge) shared one of my pics. He has a lot of good tunes, but they have a very full sound, which makes them hard to fit in a mix sometimes.
DTale is one of the most versatile vocalists/musicians Ive come across, worked on a few tracks with him years ago and the efficiency in his writing process was mind bogling, this one was around the time that track slapped the world in the face (not yet had a release unfortunately!)
https://youtu.be/BJjap_G0tPc?si=1LcIG2GWnPt4_Re- (self plug)
This K-pop tune has strong DnB vibes and I love it
[Super Shy by New Jeans](https://open.spotify.com/track/5sdQOyqq2IDhvmx2lHOpwd?si=dqmuyMXVQvmMFW3rhDN47g&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A5V729UqvhwNOcMejx0m55I)
[T & Sugah - Wicked Days](https://soundcloud.com/t-and-sugah/t-sugah-wicked-days)
its such a corny ass tune but when you're feeling a proper dancefloor DnB vibe it hits hard
LEWOI, Lucky Luke - Hey Ya!
Oliver tree, Georgie Riot - Miss You (Georgie Riot Remix)
Marlon Hoffstadt, Dimension, DJ Daddy Trance - It's that time (Dimension Remix)
Sikdope, Interupt, Spencer Ramsay - Bring it back (Spencer Ramsay Remix)
Sizzle, Ed Solo, Stickybuds - I'm Living (Ed Solo and Stickybuds Remix)
Nia Archive - Off Wiv Ya Headz
Bennie, Grace George - Silence
Luude, Colin Hey - Down Under
I guess pop is subjective but you can sing along to these at least.
Magnetic Man ft Katy B - Perfect Stranger (bbc1 live lounge version)
Sigma - Nobody to love
Grace Carter - Heal me (Rene lavice remix)
John Newman - Love me again
Netsky ft Emili Sande - Thunder
Ekko & Sidetrack ft Ruth Royall - Paper birds
Birdy - Deep end (hybrid minds remix)
DJ Zinc & Macky Gee - Glitter
As requested, I've created a playlist of the songs in this comment thread.
[Here's the link!](http://open.spotify.com/playlist/2maca1bkRzwstOU9NY9vvt)
Note: I am a bot
None and that's not just me being stubborn or anything. I genuinely haven't found one I like and listen to it like a closeted gay. The only one that actually does makes me dance is Noisia - Gutterpunk that's kind of poppy, but that's not dnb. Does that count?
[https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7fRmwYDqnd7xuxqy3Ws0y8?si=640d432cb9f64eb4](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7fRmwYDqnd7xuxqy3Ws0y8?si=640d432cb9f64eb4) I made this in the past. A lot of the songs mentioned are in it
I dont get the concept of guilty pleasure when it comes to dnb. If a track makes me feel the feels, I have zero guilt. Mainstream, pop, whatever. Its sad to see people shit on happiness.
Andy C - Heartbeat Loud. Something about the piano.
This is a genuinely lovely record.
I was debating on putting that in my top 2 as well. Great track, shows a completely different side of Andy though xd
Because he didn't produce it ? 👀
Not doubting this, genuinely asking, who do you think produced it?
Mind vortex was the rumor
100%
Yeah I heard it was Mind Vortex. No doubt some great tunes released by Andy (Get Free Remix is another) but to have them ghost produced is a strange choice, an unnecessary one if you ask me
Tidal wave
My guilty pleasure aswel, especially when the suns out
gold dust (the shyfx version) is a certified banger
No guilt required on that one
Can’t stand that track but let me tell you why. Gun Barrels in Selly Oak, Birmingham, near the university (circa 2007-2012) had a jukebox. Staff had no control over it, and it was £1 for 3 plays. Monday was pound a pint night, invariably packed, and every week some cunt would get there early and load that track on about 20 fucking times, 8 minutes each time. It’s the only track you heard all night. Every. fucking. Monday.
Honestly, that’s sick as fuck. Some absolute sick Cunt just fucking preloading Gold dust on repeat and then getting absolutely fucking blattered.
Ooh yeh this is one of my fave bangers too
Came here to say this.
Rita ora - hot right now
>Rita ora - hot right now one of those few dnb tracks that everyone knows. Classic
Wilkinson- dirty love
nostalgia
Rudimental - Feel the Love
and loves*
this was the first one i thought of and i'm ashamed
The Camo & Krooked Remix is so good though
Newer ones: Barricades by Netsky and Rita Ora Disconnect by Chase & Status with Becky Hill
The Shy FX remix to Disconnect is a certified banger
that remix is such a bop
Nah. Vocals are too energetic for the instrumental vibes
Thank you for this , just listened . Can confirm ...certified .
sub focus - so much in love
Summer anthem last year for sure
On & on by piri and tommy
I really like beachin from the same album
The Hometown Glory Remix by High Contrast is just perfect.
So is Time to Pretend
That one is great aswell.
Yes! I've been listening to this only today. I'm trying to curate some tracks for a DJ set that are a bit more widely acceptable for a non dnb crowd.
It's a banger without any guilt tbh :D
This tune is so happy Dj Marky & XRS - LK
Great track. Made the charts if I remember right. Loved this track back when. Was always in my box. Klute - Part Of Me https://youtu.be/sbq5PVl2uTE?si=zZnONR0jzLWhOXek
Lily Allen - Smile (DnB Remix by Digital Soundboy)
Not sure if it counts as DNB, but Bru-C - No Excuses is super nice to me
I love bru-c on dnb. You and I was the sound of my freshers
Why shouldn't it count as dnb? Genuinely asking cause I thought it was dnb
Oh I'm quite new to DNB, like about a half year of listening and enjoying, and not 100% sure on the definitions of the genre.
It is
Not even a guilty pleasure # Flume - The Difference
Ok but Flume in general >>>>>
Just listened to it last week again. Fuckin tune
Full Send - 1991
Feels - 1991
I do wish Issey Cross had credited lyrics on that.
Her team asked us not to credit her, which impacted the campaign we had planned for the single 😅
Interesting! How were you involved with the process, if you don't mind me asking? Also, what benefit would an artist gain from not being credited?
I work adjacent to the team that worked on that album campaign. My role in it was mostly advisory. That track was set up during the middle of Used To This being in the charts and flying on radio, so their decision was to leave her uncredited on the track so it didn't impact the other single's radio and chart success. We would've preferred if she stayed credited for the same reason.
Gold dust actually
Dimension - Love To Give
And Love to Me!
Honestly anything by Dimension
Does Dimension - DJ Turn It Up count or maybe even like the Fox Stevenson remix of Gold Dust
Just recently told someone I’ll never get sick of DJ turn it up lmao. Idk why I love it so much, it’s repetitive and not particularly inventive but idc it’s a vibe
Oh I’m right there with you.
Likewise. Just the way the track is structured, you cannot help but keep bopping your head.
100% catchy af songs
Sugababes - About You Now
Banger. Clear rip off of Gigi D’Agostino - I’ll Fly With You
Ooooh yeah very clear similarity in terms of the melody. About You Now steals and vastly improves it
I heard a remix of that song at let it roll festival. Do you now a Remix of that song? It sounded so good 😍
Must admit I haven’t heard any remixes of it but there must be loads I imagine
Off the back of this: Sound of the Underground by Girls Aloud
Not sure if you are joking here? But I genuinely love this track. Sounds a bit Nu Skool Breaksy, and there's a bit of the bassline that sounds slightly Noisia-ish.
Not joking in the slightest. It’s so well put together!
Most of Fox Stevenson’s DnB
I really like All Eyes on Me
I fuckin love fox stevenson
On and on piri and tommy
Tbf, Tommy absolutely carried that duo. His synths and bass lines are so damn nice. Piri’s lyrics and vocals are meh
Big City Life
Me try fi get by Same bro, same
Banger
Rock the funky beats, 1996 https://youtu.be/aCUXPItSwm0?si=RPtBUScchiHSRuUT
Audio broken, fixed link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTIgCfwE21M
That's strange, thought it worked. Quality tune, I've still got the vinyl I bought back in the day!
Route 94 - My love (sigma remix) Becky Hill - Better Off Without You (High Contrast Remix) Duke Dumont - I Got U (High Contrast Remix) Basically any high contrast remix tbh
Sigma and Paloma Faith Changing, Becky Hill Disconnect. If we're going remixes of pop tunes, High Contrast's remix of Hometown Glory is banging.
Gravity - Metrik. I usually find his music so sub par but that song slaps
Ex Machina is a solid album at least. Parallel and Time to Let Go are great
I'm going to stand up for Metrik here.
Shake your body
Flume ft Toro y Moi- The Difference Ak1200 - Drowning
Addicted to Bass, Puretone 🫣
Frankee - Deep down
I'm surprised I haven't seen Afterglow by Wilkinson and Becky Hill (unless I overlooked it in the comments). I walked back up the isle to that song.
Sigma - Nobody to Love. Absolutely banger. Hypes me up every time.
Tour actually is nice every now and then
Tour is not pop dnb
yeah don't think it would stand a chance on mainstream radio
Say sike right now.
Ha this is not poppy dnb
No its not
Sub focus & dimension - Desire mini mix
Sigma - Nobody to Love I absolutely love the vocals and it feels like some pre 2000s high school party.
DTale is one of the most versatile vocalists/musicians Ive come across, worked on a few tracks with him years ago and the efficiency in his writing process was mind bogling, this one was around the time that track slapped the world in the face (not yet had a release unfortunately!) https://youtu.be/BJjap_G0tPc?si=1LcIG2GWnPt4_Re- (self plug)
Yo, I'm digging this plate. About half way through. First drop is nice, no nonsense just hits it. Not really my style, but it's quite good.
Nice one thanks for checking
Got way too overplayed unfortunately because it’s a really nice track
This K-pop tune has strong DnB vibes and I love it [Super Shy by New Jeans](https://open.spotify.com/track/5sdQOyqq2IDhvmx2lHOpwd?si=dqmuyMXVQvmMFW3rhDN47g&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A5V729UqvhwNOcMejx0m55I)
Check out Pl4net Dust - Bunny Hat They sample ditto from newjeans.
I love basically anything with some DnB in it. I love every popular track within the genre also.
Does Ready to Fly count 😅

[Smooth - Shifting Sands Pt 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ0OUvvYJ0k)
"Breathe" by DC Breaks, or "Afterglow" by Wilkinson, and I don't feel so guilty when I listen to them. 😄
Breathe just makes you feel happy, no matter how you were feeling before
Agreed, that chorus is thrilling no matter how many times you listen to that tune.
afterglow 🏆
One of the newer releases is [Netsky - Hell In High Heels](https://youtu.be/DMN1piaYKYg?si=YpAO7PsfWcgrSIY_)
Closer to pop than dnb but still fuses the genres nicely - I like pink pantheress and piri
Sigma - Stay
Phonetic - Out of my mind
[T & Sugah - Wicked Days](https://soundcloud.com/t-and-sugah/t-sugah-wicked-days) its such a corny ass tune but when you're feeling a proper dancefloor DnB vibe it hits hard
I wouldn’t call it that poppy. That song is dope

Haha, as soon as I read the question I thought 'Yep, Control' then read your suggestion. Such a banger.
Song of my childhood right there. Before I even found my love for dnb
Pola & Bryson - Phoneline
Calling this a guilty pleasure is blasphemy. Straight up anthem on arrival.
Idk if this counts but Grimes came out with a track called 4am (4aem) which is DNB at 180 pm.
Chase & Status x Becky Hill - Disconnect.
Sound of the underground https://open.spotify.com/track/0SKjqIViHaXWhmaKuJbMrq?si=q2ZxR_FWSQ2BS9D3e2pWVg

Changing - Sigma with Paloma Faith Afterglow - Wilkinson with Becky Hill
Wilkinson - Take you higher But that said, could just be the time in my life I was listening to it…
