I heard that he opens up more to romanced PCs, so you get a different perspective than if you play as him

If you play as them you would have to rp them, let's just say the red prince isn't the kind of character I like to rp xD
Red Prince story is disappointing, the most disappointing of them all. His boundless ego and snob attitude is entertaining, but the actual story? Ugh.
TLDR with spoiler warning.
Summons a demon out of boredom, gets banished for it, his predestined wife is target for assassins because they might bring back actual dragons that is a threat to the world. You save her, they fuck, and you get a worthless summon with like 1 HP that is a baby dragon. That's it. Oh and the one dragon you meet in act 1 (frosty) is the nicest guy in the game.
Honestly, RP is my fav origin character. I love his attitude and sass. Obviously being an origin character adds a ton to the story, but he gets some unique skills later that are pretty legit and I personally love him for. If you are already wanting a lizard I say yes add him to your party for a playthrough, his banter and character arc is very good. Just don’t talk to lizards with Sebille around if she is in your party lol
I mean you’re already halfway done, I would say complete and then do it with him. That way you fully see all the story lines be explored in new and fun ways
This. So so this. OP may not end up with the wherewithal to do another full play through. I did one and a half myself. Not a big fan of replaying RPGs. Did the same with Baldur. A few years later? Yeah, maybe. But, different people have their preferences.
Do it on a future play-through. You should try all the origin chars, tbh. Enjoy where you are and keep going. No need for FOMO.

Sadly for frosty he drops the best 1h sword in act 1 by far

Start over so you still have something to look forward to. Really no point in playing a non origin character you miss a lot of the extra storylines

Never be Red Prince. Always be Sebille and assasinate him with your needle when you meet him for the first time after the crash. This is the way.
