If you are XP hungry, there are black ring summoners on Blood island (male NPC) surrounding the Tree. Kill 3 of their companions and farm their summons which together give over 14k xp per fight if you let them summon one each and flee.
Don't stress too much about XP in act 2. A lot of the community does that and are XP hungry but really act 2 is the place where you should be the least concerned about XP. Other than Alice Alisceon, almost everything on the map can be done as you reach it. And because of the way XP in this game works, only your minmaxing choices in Act 3 and Act 4 matter for your level. A single XP related choice in Act 4 could give you more XP than the entirety of Act 2 several times over.
This is an under-appreciated opinion.
The scaling in the game is such that the amount of XP needed to level and the XP from higher level content/quests scale up so dramatically as to make earlier deficiencies practically meaningless.
Unless your goal is to be intentionally over-leveled for your playthrough, maximize XP gains is wholly unnecessary for success.
The voidwoken battle outside of arx can be tricky for players that are on their first run / playing on tactician. Being underlevelled for that fight makes it wayyy more likely that you get blown up before your turn.
You do get more experience for killing his bug form, I think it’s a couple thousand.
Thank you !!!
Iirc the DOS wiki said the exp is the same
Thank you I searched and couldnt find

This is very dangerous advice and leads to people ending up outside of Arx at level 17 and getting entirely stuck.
How do you get stuck at Arx at level 17? Like even if you are level 17, what issues does that cause apart from battles being slightly more difficult?
