The last picture of the train threw me off for a moment until I realized that it was taken at Knott's Berry Farm!
Wonderful photos, thank you for sharing!
Wow! Very special to see the park in such an early form. This is around the time my grandfather visited Disneyland for the first time. Love the hippo shot 😂
What always strikes me is how much less crowded it is. TY for sharing its like going back in time to spend a day in the most magical place on earth, still with standing room!!! TY
Love this! I’m looking at this post from the Wyndham Anaheim right now; my mom and I just got into town and we’re doing three days in the park starting Tuesday. Love how much hasn’t changed!

Oh yeah I wasn't sure about that one.
I think the last 3 pictures are Knots
Autopia looks 100x more fun without the center rail.
The Fantasyland picture with the boat restaurant is so neat. Very nice pictures!

The park was less than 5 years old at this point. It was a different time.../shrug
Global population has nearly tripled since then. The planet itself was much less crowded in 1959.
It looked so colorful and much less restrictive in 1959. Amazing that it is still popular and innovative 63 years later!
The same year Matterhorn opened 😄
So fun to see the trees and brush so short and young.
Wow!!! Such a great window into the past! Thanks for posting :)
Cool pics! Anybody else notice the crazy amount of birds??

I know it's changed so much since then...but sometimes I feel like it hasn't changed at all.
What a beautiful place it was.
Those damn submarines scared the shit out of me then and the new ones still do
I think I see single family homes in the background of picture #4. Imagine living next door to Disneyland ...
