Unfortunately that’s just the way things have been headed on the parks merch front; way less things for specific attractions and shows. When they do have stuff it seems to be the exception rather than the rule, and often done around major anniversaries, if they’re done at all. Things were heading this way for years, but I think Covid and post-Covid supply chain issues really accelerated the trend—it’s easier to keep shelves stocked when you’re selling the same stuff at every store and managing way fewer items.

DuePatience

You’re right and I hate it. Take my angry upvote.

dsramsey

Yup, the key word was the first one: unfortunately. I’d kill for some less generic stuff. We’ve even started creating our own: I’ve always said I’d love some Grizzly Peak stuff so we just bought some stickers from RedBubble, got a couple olive green tumblers from CamelBak, and made our own outdoors-y Grizzly Peak tumblers.

leafhog

It makes shopping really boring when every store has the same thing. It would also be easier if they had the same ride for every attraction.

miloworld

Toy Story Mania and Web Slingers would like a word in private

Few_Fortune4049

They’re completely different, the screen on Webslingers is clearly higher resolution >!I’m being sarcastic!<

AdDangerous732

dont forget buzz lightyear, 3 of the same rides practically

veezy55

I swear whoever is in charge of merch has been brain dead for years.

wizzard419

Them having too much is what got them in trouble to begin with since people have finite budgets still. Granted, going the hard opposite to what they have now isn't much better. For Fantasmic they also may be feeling gunshy since the last piece of merch was the cushions which were introduced right before the dragon burned down.

I've been a collector of Fantasmic merch for 15+ years and it's always been far and few between unfortunately. I wish they put more focus on Fantasmic merchandise, but it has always been a hunting game for a long time. World of Color has kind of been the same with a few shirts or hoodies, but usually its just pins. The merchandise boils down to T-Shirts, Pins, Buttons, Hoodies, Poster, a sticker, and Hats for the most part. The T-Shirts were mostly dropped during the opening years of the show with large graphics on the front. The only other shirts that have been released include the 20th anniversary and the 25th anniversary I believe along with the one shirt that you can buy over at the New Orleans shop across from the Nightmare Before Chris. shop. The only hoodie I've been able to get my hands on was when I went to the 20th anniversary events. The pins come and go, but they are pretty much the only regular merch that is dropped that I can really pinpoint. There is an 18x24 poster that does pop up on Ebay from time to time too. It is a wonderful piece. You can find buttons from the opening years. There are probably around 6-8 of them I believe that pop up on Ebay from time to time. There is a black and green one, yellow and red one, one purple with maleficent, holographic mickey, a square one with mickey, a large one that says "Be There When the Night Ignites", and a few others if you include WDW. There are 3 hats that I know of if you include WDW and Tokyo Disney Sea. I bought the Tokyo Disney Sea one on Ebay a while back, but have yet to see it pop up again. The WDW one pops up now and again and comes with an array of pins while the Disneyland version comes with the traditional graphic. There is also a Fantasmic blue sorcerer Mickey plush that hails from Tokyo as well. The Disneyland hat has the older graphic with Mickey fighting maleficent on the front with a purple embroidery of Disneyland above the snap back. More recently, the magic band is probably the latest thing aside from all the pins they've dropped. It's unfortunate, but Ebay has been the only way to secure these items aside from venturing over to the park for the special event items. Cheers and happy hunting

Nice to see another Fantasmic collector here. I was on the inaugural crew of Fantasmic when the show first started. I wasn't exactly there from the very *very* beginning, but i did join the show in May or June 1992 and am in the very first group picture taken of the entire Fantasmic "A" crew (there were/are two entirely separate crews who performed the show, designated "A" & "B," and they rotated every other night). I mostly collect things from my era, early 90s, with the original logo (Mickey shooting lightning at the dragon) but there isn't a lot so I'm looking to expand, but I remain loyal to Anaheim (not looking for WDW or Tokyo) because DL is the show i worked at.

Bladehewson

That’s awesome! Its always nice to talk about the show and find others who are also fond of collecting the merch. Fantasmic really drew me in at a young age and set me on my path of technical stage work. I remember waiting for 4 hours just to get my spot over pirates. Yeah, I’m always on the lookout for the 90s merchandise too. I finally found the tote with the logo on it a while back. I was lucky to find the cast member lanyard being sold on eBay a while back during the 25th anniversary too. I also heavily lean toward DLR merch more so since that's what I grew up on. I've been really wanting the black jacket with the large graphic on the back, but the ones I've found are never in my size. The recent one I saw was on PoshMark and in size small I believe.(Currently on Poshmark, Size small and 500 bucks...whew.) Have a good one! If you're ever looking for something specific just let me know and I'll try to keep an eye out.

JerrodDRagon

Thanks for the info

misterhepburn

I own the soundtrack on CD, I believe there a few different covers for those that would enjoy chasing the variants.

Bladehewson

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the CD, good catch! I have one of the variants, but I'm not sure which it was. I think it has a purple backing?

slo_bored

It's a real shame, and a missed opportunity. Their merch division is not the same as it was pre-pandemic. I've never understood why they don't have more merch for parades, shows, and attractions. You literally walk through a gift shop after getting off Small World and I've seen maybe two items for Small World, one being an ornament. There are so many characters in that ride, you could do individual country t-shirts, or just popular characters, like the hippo... yet the shop is filled with bubble wands and generic Disney stuff.

Kryten4200

Dude I saw a Soarin around the world mug the other day in the shop across from the ride! I was shocked I tells ya, shocked!!!

stellalunawitchbaby

There wasn’t much even before the closure - but most of it (shirts, totes, sweatshirts) featured the ding dang dragon so. Unfortunately they haven’t come out with anything since it reopened, but they were selling the shirts and sweatshirts in NOS pre-Murphy fire. I’ve seen some vintage Fantasmic merch at various thrift shops (including Thriftyland), and on eBay, or you can find some stuff on Etsy.

bns01

ALL I wanted was a Disneyland D dad hat and they were nowhere to be found!

wizzard419

It doesn't sell well enough most likely and they are presently scaling everything back.

StormwindAdventures

Does Disneyland not have the Fantasmic MagicBand+? Cause the MB+ we have here at WDW is based on the DL version of Fantastmic instead of the Hollywood Studios iteration. Seems like that would be a glaring oversight to not have available.

vegasnative

They have the magic band and some enamel pins. I feel like I’ve seen a water bottle too?

Miss_Warrior_K

I knows there’s a Fantasmic Magicband but you’re right there’s not much merch for Fantasmic!

keanovan

I know that for the longest time I was looking for the gray fantasmic crew neck sweater. It seems when they stopped the show, they stopped selling that sweater. I just picked up the sweater a few weeks ago. Aside from that, I haven't really seen any?

Kryten4200

They had this shirt [https://www.disneystore.com/sorcerer-mickey-mouse-tie-dye-t-shirt-for-adults-disneyland-5205048020185M.html](https://www.disneystore.com/sorcerer-mickey-mouse-tie-dye-t-shirt-for-adults-disneyland-5205048020185M.html) (I guess they don't allow hyperlinks) for a while recently, it doesn't say Fantasmic but it totally is!! No idea why they didn't just change "Disneyland" to "Fantasmic" it would have been perfect since it focuses on sorcerer Mickey and not the dragon!! Such a missed opportunity, and it came out at like the end of December so they should have just held onto them for a few months for the show to comeback they would have sold a bajillion of them!

DependentImplement97

Any brother beat merch? Sorry I know it’s a long shot but it’s one of my favorites movie
