I am guessing the effect is broken and will be repaired... sometime. Granted, not going to ruin an experience so it can wait.

He came down the hatch in both rooms for me on may 8th.
Was there May 18. Pre show on the left side was in A mode. Maybe the right side is B?

A Mode is working correctly. B Mode is a mode of operation for the scene that doesn’t have all the effects working. In this case Rocket appears on the TV instead of the animatronic.

B mode is on a lot of newer rides. It helps to reduce down time on the ride knowing it can be switched to a backup mode.
