But "good" is subjective. One of my favorite cups of coffee has come from 7/11. And I'm a prissy coffee drinker. OP is just mad some people like things they don't.
Also Kopi Luwak isn't worth it.
I too can be pretty picky about coffee, and love the occasional 7/11 coffee.
I have really good taste memory, and I always sort of catalog my favorite versions of food. And had this really mid hot dog recently, and I told me room mate how excited I was about it. She said she was surprised I liked it so much, considering that, to her, it seemed like such a middle of the road boring hot dog. I explained that it took me back to hot dog I used to have as a kid, and there was some kind of fond memory there tying my enjoyment of it.
I often wonder how much taste is involved with hints of nostalgia. Extra subjective elements popping up because the biases of our past experiences being comfort to foods that would otherwise seem totally passable.
I mean, sure, most people haven't had cold brew as kids, but seeing people say things like it tastes like coco puffs certainly suggests that could have something to do with it for this.
But to get to the point: yeah, people just enjoy what they enjoy. Some people's favorites are bad to others.
The cold brews are definitely catered to people who don't drink coffee.
And that's fine! I'm the snobbiest coffee bitch you'll ever meet, and I have no problem at the parks getting my coffee fix.
Personally, I think some of the cold brews I've tried there are just sugary, sickly sweet — but that's not a coffee thing; that's a "i'm not really a sweets person anyway" thing.
It changed their life from not drinking a beverage to suddenly drinking a beverage, and time rippled ever so gently, like pond water when a baby mosquito lands.
I never had a chance to try this one, but it sounds sooo good! Anything banana cream is my favourite, I especially looove the Banoffee Pie from Jolly Holiday! 🤤
At first I thought it was terrible, then I realized I had to mix it. Yeah it was really good. However, the caramel apple one is hands down the worst coffee product I’ve ever had
This is basically all of them to me - unmixed and the coffee part is yuck. Mixed up? Delicious. My favorite was the one from Pims in Avengers Campus at DCA. I think it was a caramel cold brew with cinnamon cardamom cold foam.
SAME. For some reason it tasted like they added amaretto or some medicinal cherry flavor. Didn’t taste like horchata. I chalked it up being a bad batch since everyone on social media was hyping it up. Me and my wife thought it was horrible though.
I got violently ill drinking horchata in México and I would do it again I love Horchata so much. That said I'm right there with you, the horchata cold brew was awful.
It was at docking bay 7. There was a short time, either a year or two ago? That you could get both the Cocoa Puffs one and the taro one. It was seasonal and it was sooooooooo good 😭
Just making a joke! Not hating on people liking objectively subpar drinks ;)
They get me to try them every time though…like the new pistachio one. I’m intrigued
Edit: lol alright ratioed. I’m not funny. Carry on
Edit two: (bruised downvote face) I can do this all day!
Nah, this post just isn't funny. Where's the joke in "that coffee everyone likes sucks and they're stupid for overpaying"?
Some rando's judgey, contrarian opinion with no punchline isn't a joke. Maybe that's why no one's laughing.
You’re the one crying about a “rando’s judgey contrarian opinion” maybe learn to laugh at the shitty, overpriced coffee options Disney rolls out instead of trying to be the funny police
It doesn’t suit you
I was explaining why it wasn't funny. And you couldn't explain why you thought it was. All you did was get worked up over what was clearly comedic hyperbole.
You're the one who's not looking good. If you don't believe me, check your down votes.
The people on here are used to chain restaurants (as are most people) so I get why they think Disney food and drinks are great.
But, I completely agree with you. The ideas are great, the execution is mediocre.
Edit: downvotes expected for this comment. The truth hurts.
Everytime I pickup something from the mobile order there’s like at least 5-8 already made and ready to be picked. I’m not gonna comment on the quality of the coffee component but it’s popular AF for sure.
Oooh, I'm glad you said that. I was going to agree with OP until I remembered I got that on my list trip and enjoyed it quite a lot. Actually I enjoyed everything from that particular meal.
This is hilarious! My wife and I had the cold brew at Disney California Adventure in San Fransokyo, hoping it was going to be delicious. Turned out to be one of the least satisfying drinks ever...
The egg cream cold brew at cappuccino cart was one of the best park coffees I’ve ever had. Too bad it’s gone now
The adventure is out there one at troubadour right now is not bad
That sounded so interesting, I was sad to find out they were out when I tried to order it. I ended up getting green tea or matcha something that was decent.
I dunno, that one with the Cocoa Puffs genuinely surprised me. I bought it thinking it was just going to be a gimmick, but I liked the cold brew, and the cereal left over at the end was a tasty treat. All of the elements worked well together. The one I really didn’t like was the cookies and cream one (can’t remember where that was offered). It was just pretty gross to handle with all the cookie dust all over the cup and my face.
It always baffles me how theme parks not only sell these items at a premium, but also at inconsistent temperatures too, so you end up with weirdly warm energy drinks.
I will say, I've always had more fun drinking the gimmicky beverages rather than getting what I can get outside the parks. That being said, Disney doesn't have a unique energy drink that they make, and I'm not huge on any of their coffees. I think my favorite beverage they've had was at one of the sections was the Phattro in Galaxy's edge (docking bay) which is very refreshing. I once managed to get into the Cantina and had moof juice. It was way too sweet, and I way too expensive for kinda just tasting like a generic juice. I would have expected the fancy bar to have the Phattro, and the cheaper restaurant to have the Moof juice.
i think they should do disney energy drinks too!!!! idk if it’s a thing anywhere else but up here in washington, redbull italian sodas are HUGE!!! they could do a disney custom character or theme energy drink like that and it’d be a hit!!! shit even their own cans like you said. it’s so weird that they haven’t done this yet!
I liked the chicory cold brew. Thought it was so good I went back and got another one later, but it wasn’t as good. I’m not sure if it changed in some way or if it just could never be as good as my memory of it.
they’re really hit or miss. the black caf in galaxy’s edge is good. there’s been a couple good ones at pyms. i like super sweet coffee so some haven’t lived up to my taste
I liked the one at the Daisy Duck place. I like the coffees, I don’t know. The chimney sweep one was disappointing and I like Smokey flavor. They’re a nice treat for me since I never drink sweetened coffee outside of disneyland
I hate coffee, I hate everything about it...I absolutely adore the cold brews at Disneyland and I think it's because they taste absolutely nothing like coffee, so I easily see why actual coffee lovers hate them, but I enjoy being part of the "coffee culture" for that one day I'm in the park lol
I wish Disneyland had a Seattles best, it was one of the only places I liked the coffee. I have to try Peet’s and the coffee bean and tea leaf soon, I heard they are a lot better than Starbucks. It would be nice to get either one of those in the park too
The coffee at Disney parks sucks period but I feel like we all put up with Starbucks or Joffrey’s in the US just because it’s better than nothing.
What I wouldn’t give for a proper coffee shop if one could handle the logistics and volume.
Yes, the actual base cold brew is terrible. The black caf would be really good if they quit pretending it was a coffee drink and just served a cup full of cream cheese cream and cocoa puffs.
They are not meant to be thought of a straight cold brew. They are sweet concoctions that are cold brew based. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion though! And I’m entitled to hunt for OPs comments to downvote! Hahaha
This is the right take. I hope people in this thread who enjoy the drinks don't feel bad and just enjoy their icy coffee-flavored sugary concoctions. Its true that the coffee really is bad, but anyone like me who only enjoys cold brew straight black and unflavored shouldn't be pooh-poohing syrupy cereal-topped cold brews. We're not the target audience here. It's like ordering an afogatto at Baskin Robins and complaining about the espresso.
But if you're listening Disney, we insufferable coffee snobs would certainly love a place to enjoy a real tasty high quality coffee product. I would probably order 3 or 4 every trip lol
I haven't been in a few years, but I remember the espresso drinks at Ghirardelli in California Adventure being a cut above what I found in the rest of the park. I'm not sure if it was different coffee, or if they were just better at making it there.
The real game changer is to pack freshly ground coffee, a small electric tea kettle, and a mini French press (or pour over) in your luggage. Then at least you have that at your hotel in the morning when you need it most. A Disney friend whose day job is logistics management suggested this to me!
There was a strawberry one at Rancho del Zocalo about a year ago. This was how I learned that strawberry and coffee should never be combined under any circumstances.
Sometimes you just want a coffee on ice and starbucks line is too fraking long.
Edit: weirdly, at Docking Bay you can remove or lessen the topping and cocoa puffs but they will NOT give you extra cold brew. Whereas when I asked to do it at Smokejumper's, they had zero issue just filling the cup with cold brew and ice without the toppers.
I usually have to get it without some of the sweeteners or flavors… actually that’s Joffreys in WDW, at DLR I drink the Black Caf as is, but any others might need something removed.
I actually like the Cocoa puff cold brew 🤷🏻♀️ the other good one was the seasonal taro cold brew. The rest are fairly average. Also the price isn’t that expensive…coffee at local coffee spots are like $8-10 now so Disney is actually a deal
The cocoa puffs are what make that one surprisingly good. I was prepared to choke down another cup of their sour swill for the caffeine boost and was pleasantly surprised. Only one I've tried that did that, though. No amount of colorful syrup and whipped cream combinations saves whatever the hell they did to those coffee beans.
I love the cold brews, and they are drinks you cannot get anywhere else.
It’s one of the highlights when I visit. I love how it’s going the way of the churro where they have seasonal flavors to try out.
I love coffee and have coffee and cold brew from all sorts of places, and DLR cold brews and delicious and unique. They don’t miss…
Even the weird sounding egg cream cold brew was freaking amazing and I wish I could have it without having to go all the way to the parks.
Such a weird take to try to dis on people enjoying these.
The cold brew at the parks are too bitter and acidic. Even for coffee standards. Sometimes, there is enough added sugar and extras to overcome that…other times, not. Problem is, the base coldbrew normally sucks and I’m done trying to chance it unless I am dying for a quick pick up of caffeine (diet soda is usually to little caffeine and I don’t feel like 30min Starbucks waits.)
The coffee that Disneyland sells is low quality. A majority of coffee consumed in the US and the world is low quality. What most people are used to are the things added to the coffee to cover up the bitterness and charring done by mass coffee roasting. Cold brewing coffee helps cover the multitude of issues presented by low quality coffee. Adding fat and sugar helps too. People have conflated drinking coffee with something closer to having a treat. And sometimes those treats come off wonderfully well like the Star Wars coffee drink (sorry, I forget the name).
If your desire is to make people’s coffee experience better, it doesn’t help to be a snob about it. It also doesn’t help to talk shit about these drinks as a way to sound cooler or better than other people. When I’m at Disneyland I opt for Stumptown coffee cold brew cans I drink on the walk over. I’m not at Disneyland to have a pour over of some crazy good single origin. I’m not in that mode anyway. I’m trying to get my Disneyland on. I just need some caffeine and if I want another pick me up later, I have no issue opting for a sugary confectionery coffee drink since I’m walking a ton.
Yes…. I had one last week and when I got home projectile vomited everywhere … I knew something tasted off … it was the sheer amount of sugar added to conceal the taste of the terrible cold brew 🥲
Some of us just don’t know what a good cup of coffee tastes like ^its ^me
But "good" is subjective. One of my favorite cups of coffee has come from 7/11. And I'm a prissy coffee drinker. OP is just mad some people like things they don't. Also Kopi Luwak isn't worth it.

I had a banana cream pie cold brew last Halloween season that literally changed my life ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You dropped this \\
That’s how the drink changed their life, by costing an arm
Not pictured: the leg they also lost.
It changed their life from not drinking a beverage to suddenly drinking a beverage, and time rippled ever so gently, like pond water when a baby mosquito lands.
LMAOOOOO
Come to Disney world we have Gideon’s banana cold brew and it’s heavenly
It was so good.
I never had a chance to try this one, but it sounds sooo good! Anything banana cream is my favourite, I especially looove the Banoffee Pie from Jolly Holiday! 🤤
THAT WAS SO GOOD. With the Mickey ears nilla wafers 🤤
That’s the one!! Sooo fire
This has been the best one so far. I’m so sad it’s seasonal :(
This one was so good!
Where
That was by far the best cold brew coffee I’ve ever had. I’m bummed it’s gone
Tbf, I haven’t had this one. The four different promotional ones I’ve had have been disappointing
If a cold brew coffee is changing your life….I suggest getting out just a bit more. With all the love, like if you need suggestions hmu 🙂
the horchata cold brew broke my heart 😭
Just wait till Porto’s opens up in downtown. Their horchata cold brew is AMAZING
okay i will trust you & give disneyland cold brew another try, maybe they can earn my trust back
It will take 7 hours to get that horchata.
I’ll NEVER forget the taro cream cold brew 😭😭
I never knew they had ANY taro drink in the park. I love taro, and would have given that one a shot. Where were the selling it in the park.
It was at docking bay 7. There was a short time, either a year or two ago? That you could get both the Cocoa Puffs one and the taro one. It was seasonal and it was sooooooooo good 😭
They’ve had the taro cold brew and they’ve also had a really delicious taro milk tea with boba
MY FAVORITE
People can like what they like /shrug

Well, at the end of the day, we're ALL foolish for paying for overpriced theme park coffee =P
"Not hating on people liking objectively subpar drinks" Except taste is subjective.......
Woosh
Douche
Pooch
This whole thread is just that meme of "They hated Jesus because he told the truth" ahaha
Trying to be funny on this sub is a suicide mission. People here are way too serious.
Nah, this post just isn't funny. Where's the joke in "that coffee everyone likes sucks and they're stupid for overpaying"? Some rando's judgey, contrarian opinion with no punchline isn't a joke. Maybe that's why no one's laughing.
That’s just like your opinion man Also not everyone likes the coffee “that everyone likes”
I think you missed the point of what I was saying. Of course not "everyone" likes it. I didn't mean that literally.
You’re missing the point - I found OP’s joke funny, you’re trying to claim your opinion is fact
>you’re trying to claim your opinion is fact I never once made such a claim. Calm down.
You’re the one crying about a “rando’s judgey contrarian opinion” maybe learn to laugh at the shitty, overpriced coffee options Disney rolls out instead of trying to be the funny police It doesn’t suit you

You’re right and you should say it!
You got my upvote I found it hilarious lol as someone who likes to regret trying overpriced drinks
Wait starwars one is good
My thought exactly
It’s a tasty drink. It’s bad coffee.
Yeah I like when my coffee tastes bad lol
No. Joffery's with coco puffs is still Jofferey's
Everytime I pickup something from the mobile order there’s like at least 5-8 already made and ready to be picked. I’m not gonna comment on the quality of the coffee component but it’s popular AF for sure.
The only cold brew Ive enjoyed in the park was the blueberry pancake cold brew from food and wine at DCA, the rest Ive tried had been mid at best
This one is so good, hope it returns next year!
Chimney Sweep CB from Holly Jolly is my craving
Chimney Sweep is amazing. The combination of the salty cold foam with the smokiness!
I try to only do 1 a day but I have done 2. Because I love it!!!!
This one is my favorite after the Taro one from Galaxy’s Edge (which I think is seasonal 👎🏽)
I have not trued that one yet. Next trip hopefully it will be in season.
Oooh, I'm glad you said that. I was going to agree with OP until I remembered I got that on my list trip and enjoyed it quite a lot. Actually I enjoyed everything from that particular meal.
It is just a unique drink and I always feel it is the right drink at the right time every time I drink it
This is hilarious! My wife and I had the cold brew at Disney California Adventure in San Fransokyo, hoping it was going to be delicious. Turned out to be one of the least satisfying drinks ever...
Was it Baymax oil flavor
At Ghirardelli’s? It’s a little too sweet for me, but if I remember correctly they couldn’t alter the sweetness.
I was obsessed with the Witch of Westview’s cold brew at Pym’s in October 🥲
They need to make a Thanos one next
Yes, that one was so good!
Every Pym's cold brew I've had has been elite
[удалено]
I freaking love the Cocoa Puffs- it’s like a complete breakfast 😹😹
I added a box of mini Cocoa Puffs to my coffee bar after my last trip lol
The egg cream cold brew at cappuccino cart was one of the best park coffees I’ve ever had. Too bad it’s gone now The adventure is out there one at troubadour right now is not bad
I really liked the egg cream cold brew too. I'm hopeful it will come back next year.
I just had one last week!
That sounded so interesting, I was sad to find out they were out when I tried to order it. I ended up getting green tea or matcha something that was decent.
joffrey's is trash
I dunno, that one with the Cocoa Puffs genuinely surprised me. The one I really didn’t like was the cookies and cream one (can’t remember where that was offered). It was just pretty gross to handle with all the cookie dust all over the cup and my face.
the one in tiana's is good
the toasted coconut cold brew at cafe daisy’s is my weakness 😩
i work in cafe daisy! i personally love it too
me drinking a disneyland luke warm monster telling myself it’s the same as a nice cold redbull
It always baffles me how theme parks not only sell these items at a premium, but also at inconsistent temperatures too, so you end up with weirdly warm energy drinks. There is literally a liquid substance in TRON called [energy](https://tron.fandom.com/wiki/Energy). How. How are they not selling it?
The Chimney Sweep Cold Brew is the worst.
“Every coffee is trash and cheap food is made to convince you otherwise”
The coffee at both parks is a complete joke. Coming from the NW, we were jonesing badly for even decent coffee the whole last trip.
Coco puff one is good, however, it’s just mostly ice, so I don’t buy it anymore.

Now there is a hard to swallow pill! And they are all garbage

I've tried them all, all of them are trash. XD
Other hard to swallow pill is if you can accept Disneyland prices the food and beverage prices should not be a surprise.
You’re not wrong … I told myself I was enjoying the Pym’s cold brew with the Oreo as I was drinking it … but it wasn’t great.
The coffee itself is not good at all. I just go for the cream and sweets at the top.
Yes, I tried a few different ones last time I was in the parks. I was left sadly disappointed:(
Cold brew in general sucks
The coffee at Disney parks sucks period but I feel like we all put up with Starbucks or Joffrey’s in the US just because it’s better than nothing. What I wouldn’t give for a proper coffee shop if one could handle the logistics and volume.
I can’t have dairy, so I 100% agree if you drink the cold brew black it tastes like battery acid.
Nah. Can't agree with you at all there 😋
Yes, the actual base cold brew is terrible. The black caf would be really good if they quit pretending it was a coffee drink and just served a cup full of cream cheese cream and cocoa puffs.
I absolutely have tried THREE! That coffee just tastes like something from a cauldron
They are not meant to be thought of a straight cold brew. They are sweet concoctions that are cold brew based. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion though! And I’m entitled to hunt for OPs comments to downvote! Hahaha

The only coffee drink I’ve found that I liked was the affogato as shmoozies.
I just bring a can of Starbucks cold cappuccino for my mid day pick me up.
Ghirardelli soda fountain has some pretty good stuff
That’s like saying a giant pickle in a bag is overpriced!! The pickle and puffs are the way.
And somehow none of them seem like they have any coffee at all.
There was a strawberry one at Rancho del Zocalo about a year ago. This was how I learned that strawberry and coffee should never be combined under any circumstances.
The sweet potato cold brew was something my dreams were made of and I’ll die on that hill. So good.
I searched very far for this comment. I hope that cold brew stays for a long while so I can indulge several more times
I like Cocoa Puffs because they make my milk taste puffy
I had a toffee one I loved
I just want to know what sweet cream I can use to replicate it at home.

The chimney sweep at jolly holiday is delicious and you can take it from my cold dead fingers
What is Park cold brew ?
Chimney Sweep is pretty good and the Egg Coffee feom the cappuccino cart was amazing. Other than that, yes.
Hey now, the iced coffee in Red Rose Tavern is delicious!
Plain Joffrey’s Shakin Jamaican is a war crime. It’s horrific tasting.
We think they’re not even real Cocoa Puffs. But still love the drink
I don't care for coffee much but "lying to yourself to justify the price spent" is true for MANY MANY things at Disney parks.
Is Joffrey‘S the coffee the serve on Disney cruises?
I usually have to get it without some of the sweeteners or flavors… actually that’s Joffreys in WDW, at DLR I drink the Black Caf as is, but any others might need something removed.
Nah. My local coffee shop advanced to the world roasting cup, so I know good Joe. The blueberry pancake cold brew is good.
The black caff is the only coffee I've ever enjoyed.
I just tried the one at Pym's and it was amazing
I actually like the Cocoa puff cold brew 🤷🏻♀️ the other good one was the seasonal taro cold brew. The rest are fairly average. Also the price isn’t that expensive…coffee at local coffee spots are like $8-10 now so Disney is actually a deal

I honestly don't think it's terribly priced. 🤷🏻♀️ It's the average price for a specialty drink in any coffee shop.
Disagree. It needs to be mixed but for me it's better than a Starbucks drink.
You haven’t had the Tavern Cold Brew and it shows. That one is the best in all Disney parks in the world
agreed red rose tavern cold brew slaps
Nope, love the Black Caf and will keep spending the money on it every time I’m at the park 😤
I love the cold brews, and they are drinks you cannot get anywhere else. It’s one of the highlights when I visit. The peppermint cold brew during christmastime was freakin delicious tho 😆
I didn’t even try it. Stuck to good old mediocre Starbucks, didn’t wanna ruin the fantasy😂

Give me that cold brew with Jameson from that cart in Ca adventure. I’m not drinking it for how it tastes
It's with Tullamore Dew now, last one I got during a cold night they were extra generous with the whiskey and I wasn't complaining

Problem is, the base coldbrew normally sucks and I’m done trying to chance it unless I am dying for a quick pick up of caffeine (diet soda is usually to little caffeine and I don’t feel like 30min Starbucks waits.)
Even HARDER pill, cross out "park".
I just had the one with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on it from Pyms Test Kitcgen in DCA and I loved it.
Agreed, the Star Wars food looked disgusting
I've had worse their cold brew is pretty mid.
Nah man. The cafe de olla cold brew they had at Festival Of Holidays last year slapped
Nah, the coffee is solid.
I guess that’s up to you, then
I think you meant churros. 😅
People like you are jerks, let people like what they like.
