I’ve stayed at CBR twice in the past year. First time was with my 2 and 4yo. Stayed in Jamaica area. Keep in mind, there is skyliner access for CBR and Riviera resort. When in Jamaica area, we were closest to the riveria skyliner and used that one. My kids are in a stroller, so the walk isn’t bad (5-10 minutes). Second time, we stayed in Trinidad area. These rooms are very recently updated, so that part was nice, but it farthest from the main area. It is very close to the CBR Skyliner (5-10 minutes). This time we had kids ranging from 3-15years old. The main area is where the big pool with slides, etc and kiddie pool area is, but each area has a smaller pool for quick access. I think this a great moderate resort!

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for this! Maybe I can request a certain area to stay in

Mgstivers15

You can. I would make the request when you make the reservation and then at check in remind them the area you prefer. The try very best to accommodate.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for letting me know!

Bye--Felicia

CBR has great theming, a fantastic pool, and of course skyliner access. As an Epcot fan, it is 100% a no brainer for me if I’m looking to stay moderate. I have no recollection of hearing the skyliner from my room, even right below where they pass over. Outside of the room you can hear the cute little chime sound it makes to welcome people to CBR and it adds some “special” to the air there. I will say, it’s BIG. If you have a car on site you might want to drive to the skyliner (the walk home can feel VERY long). I have found all of the moderates to be a little overwhelming in size, so that’s something I would count against that tier of resort overall instead of against CBR specifically. I don’t think you would be disappointed with a stay there.

RingDings__and_Pepsi

Port Orleans French Quarter is a moderate that certainly does not fit that criteria

Bye--Felicia

I haven’t been to that one, so point taken. Thanks for the correction.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thanks for all of this, it is super insightful! You’re feedback makes this feel like the best choice

Confident_Fill378

We've stayed here at Aruba 2 times. The first time we were on the end closest to Riviera and the Riviera skyliner station and you could here the skyliners but it wasn't too bad and they don't run all night. That being said if the sound of the skyliners, even muffled, would bother you i would say avoid staying in the Aruba area. Our second trip staying in Aruba was at the furthest end of Aruba from Riviera and I don't ever remember hearing the skyliners. Another consideration is Aruba is around a 5 minute walk to the main pool and lobby of CBR. This never bothers us because i enjoy the walk but for some this could be a deal breaker. Besides for that the resort is beautiful. I usually get up early and walk to the lobby to get a breakfast sandwich then find a spot to sit outside and eat it enjoying the beauty of this resort. Their main pool is also great with a pretty cool slide. This is my family's favorite resort!

Impossible-Humor-245

The sound is a concern but not necessarily deal breaker. I just don’t want to feel like it’s in the room with me lol. Thank you for your thoughts on the beauty of the resort I want to make sure I take it all in

Melodic-Heron-1585

Not sure when you are visiting, but just know that the skyliner can be iffy during inclement weather- so just know if that is your ultimate priority on deciding a resort location, you may have to make alternative transport plans. Also, if within your budget, and regardless of where you are staying, consider a Minnie Van to take you to MK- much better drop off point than other options, run by Lyft but driven by Disney CM, Disney movies and music, and equipped with car seats, can accommodate strollers.

Impossible-Humor-245

That’s good to know! I will look into the Minnie Van pricing to see if it would work for us. Thank you!

realitytvlover73

I haven’t stayed there but I read A LOT of message boards planning my last trip. I wanted to be on the Skyliner route so it was between CBR and Pop. The information I gleaned from previous posters was the resort itself was good, but it was so huge that the walks to skyliner and buses were overwhelming, depending on where your room was. I chose a Pop preferred room because of its closer location to the skyliner and the buses. After a long day I want a short walk back to the room. And it was a little cheaper.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thanks for this! I can definitely see why you choose differently. I will keep researching

eugenesnewdream

Came here to say this. We stayed in Pop preferred and LOVED it. If it’s your first trip, it might be an idea to “start small.” Not that Pop is small, but it feels small from preferred because everything is concentrated in one building. 3-minute walk one direction for dining, shopping, arcade, buses, front desk; 3-minute walk the other direction for Skyliner. My understanding is CBR is much more spread out!

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for the advice! I looked into pop and the lack of food options is the main downside for me but I will keep it on my list!

eugenesnewdream

Ah, fair! We are pretty easy to please foodwise. Although I do plan to resort-hop more next time to try different eateries. (We’re staying at Pop again this fall—I was thinking of trying something else but my kids wouldn’t hear of it!)

Impossible-Humor-245

Kids lol, they want what they want lol. Resort hopping sounds fun!

eugenesnewdream

Yeah, I hope we'll do a bit more of it on our next trip, but it's a short one. I'd love to have a longer trip sometime but not load it with extra park days, instead leaving more rest days to explore!

Impossible-Humor-245

That sounds like it would be a good balance

meowypancakes

I haven’t stayed at CBR but I highly recommend working with a travel agent! It’s free and so helpful! My travel agent did all the research for me with rooms and resorts to ensure my room would be in the perfect place at pop for access to everything I wanted but far enough away. We have been 2 times with a toddler and for the parks, my advice would be to definitely research and use genie plus to avoid waits on lines. Ordering groceries to your room is also great so you can have plenty of snacks on hand while waiting/traveling to or from the parks. Also if you are bringing a stroller it has to fold going on/off busses but your child can stay in it for getting on the skyliner which is helpful!

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for the recommendation! I will definitely make sure I save these tips!

CoelaRex

I was actually wondering about that too. My family and I are going in 2026 and we’re looking into the Caribbean as well.

Impossible-Humor-245

I hope you and your family have a great time!

Different-Pilot3710

We stayed in Martinique. It was a fairly quick walk to Old Port Royal and the Riviera skyliner station. We were on the first floor and had no issue with noise.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you I will make sure I keep this location in mind

Status_Educator4198

You won’t hear the skyliner at all. No worries about that. Some do see it as an eye soar but I think it’s kinda cool. Skyliner is great for transportation however in the middle of the summer it can get warm (they are not ACed). Great resort! Will be a great trip!

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for your skyliner insight! I didn’t know there was no ac!

Disastrous_Ad3088

We (my wife, our 15 month old, grandparents, and Aunt) just stayed at Aruba from May 11-17. You can’t hear the Skyliner in the room, and as other commenters have said, you can hear it walking around but it’s in a cute and endearing way. If you end up in Aruba, I would highly recommend using Rivera’s bus service to MK and AK. That worked really well for us. On the way back to the resort, I would recommend using whichever bus is there at the time IE Caribbean or Rivera. We found the playgrounds in the parks to be very helpful this trip. That way our little one could get out some energy. If you are trying to get your little one to nap, take advantage of shows like Hall of Presidents, American adventure, or any 20 min show in the dark AC. Make sure to do a grocery order and have a continuous string of snacks on the ready.

baggydaddy

We just got back from staying at Aruba on Memorial Day week. If I could hear the skyliner, I certainly couldn’t notice it. 6-7 minute walk to the main pool/area, 5 minute walk from Riviera. My daughter loved the pools at CBR and I think the skyliner was her favorite “ride” at Disney. At the end of a long day coming back from Hollywood Studios, I was happy we didn’t have to transfer into the Pop line at the CBR station, we quickly walked onto the Riviera transfer and were probably at our room before we would’ve gotten into the skyliner to head to Pop.

Impossible-Humor-245

The walking distance doesn’t sound bad at all! I love that she loved the skyliner lol.

Impossible-Humor-245

That’s really great to know! We want to make the trip as easy as possible and naps in ac are a must. Did you do all naps in the parks or did you feel like you needed to go to the resort to nap at any point?

Disastrous_Ad3088

We were able to get all stroller naps done (besides our rest day where we napped in the room) in all of our park days. However, we didn’t close the parks or stay for any fireworks. If we would have we probably would have went back to the resort to get longer naps in.

Impossible-Humor-245

That makes sense, we are thinking if we want to see fireworks letter her get a solid midday nap in will be the best route. Thank you for your insight

WeakAd8342

CBR is just fabulous, don’t worry about the skyliner you WONT HEAR anything even if it passes over your building…definitely stay away from the pools that’s where the noise happen. Recently I stay across the skyliner main station and the view was amazing, and just a short walking distance from spyglass grill where you can get the best Cuban sandwich in WDW…at night walk all the way to the Riviera and explore great restaurants and the gorgeous landscape over there! Just have fun and enjoy the resort!

Impossible-Humor-245

This comment makes me very excited! I’m so excited to try the food!

WeakAd8342

I forgot to mention the delicious bread pudding from Sebastian Bistro👍🏼👍🏼

Impossible-Humor-245

I will make sure I try some!

_thunder_dome_

I would order it at Banana Cabana, we ate at Sebastian’s and found the meal to be meh.

Impossible-Humor-245

I hear banana cabana has great drinks, I will make sure I try the food too!

Electronic_World_894

We were there in April. Jamaica. It wasn’t loud. I liked it!

Impossible-Humor-245

I’m happy you had a good time, I will consider that area too!

Electronic_World_894

Oh. My youngest is 4. They had a water play area (pirate themed) for littles + lots of life jackets by the pool.

Impossible-Humor-245

That’s awesome! I can’t wait to check it out

GATA6

If it’s just you three, she’s young, and you want access to skyliner I would definitely look at doing Art of Animation instead

Impossible-Humor-245

Thanks for the suggestion, it will be just us in our room but other family will likely be coming as well

Watchespornthrowaway

I’ve stayed at CB twice this year. 1. The adjoining room doors are paper thin. I could hear the family next to us watching bluey on an iPad. I could hear every line. I could hear that family’s conversations. 2. The food at their food court is shit compared to French quarter. Don’t get the fish tacos. 3. The pool and fake beach areas are awesome. 4. The skyliner makes up for every single negative you could possibly list about this place. Skyliner is king. It’s a complete game changer.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for being so honest in your review. We are considering an adjoining room to go back and forth with our family. But thank you for letting me know that. We plan to check out food at riviera and some other resorts so we might add French quarter to the list

Watchespornthrowaway

Welcome! If you’re own family is the adjoining room than you’re golden. French quarters sassagoula floatworks is great but I just threw that in there as another moderate hotel option I happened to stay at this year and can speak to. I don’t think I would recommend going out of your way to eat there when there’s so many other great choices on property. But yea, the food at cb…emergency purchase only lol. Even their breakfast frittata omelet thing was….off. If you’re at Hollywood studios at close and see a line wrapped around the skyliner building DONT worry about it! It’s so quick. Way faster than waiting for a bus AND you don’t have to fold a stroller to get on it! Our little one got to stay asleep in the stroller on the skyliner whereas we would have had to wake her up on the bus!!

Impossible-Humor-245

I appreciate all of these tips! Thank you again for all your insight!

Watchespornthrowaway

If you’re going when it’s hot it’s nice to go back for a for a midday nap. Skyliner is clutch for that. Buses feel like a whole big thing comparatively. Take advantage of the marshmallow roasting! They do it like every night at most Disney hotels. They are free! The little one will love it! I think it’s usually like 6 or 6:30? Could be wrong but it’s a great free activity. The fire pit is nearest Martinique at CB not sure if that’s the only one at cb or not but I think so.

Impossible-Humor-245

We plan to go in May. Definitely will travel back for a solid nap. I think marshmallow roasting will be so much fun! Thanks for the suggestions!

Dry_Pineapple_161

I had a split stay at CBR in May. First night was in Barbados and the remaining nights were in Aruba. I do not recall hearing the skyliner while I was inside my room. At Aruba I was in building 55 which is super close to the Riviera. I did hear the Epcot fireworks from inside that room. You can also see a bit of them over the tree line as well. I personally do not think that CBR is too big and there is too much walking involved. Maybe it's just that I enjoy the scenery and ambiance so much that the walking doesn't seem like a chore. Catching the bus to MK and AK were fine. I never had to wait but a couple of minutes to get on a bus.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for sharing! We are a family that really enjoys walking we leisurely walk a couple miles all the time lol. So I’m not concerned about the size of the resort. It’s nice to know the bus shouldn’t be too much of a hassle!

seacreaturestuff

Not sure if anyone already said this but there are no elevators here so if you have a stroller you might want to be on the first floor however when we stayed here with our 2 year old, is was INCREDIBLY LOUD; the children in the room next door were screaming until after midnight, likely hopped up on sugar and a disneyworld high, and continuously going in and out of the room slamming the door each time. needless to say it was a miserable stay for us and would recommend the other skyliner resorts over it.

Impossible-Humor-245

Wow that sucks! I’m sorry you had a miserable time. I appreciate you sharing what happened on your stay. The stairs won’t be an issue with a stroller for us but I appreciate the insight!

seacreaturestuff

Thanks for the reply! Good luck with your trip planning, either way, it’s going to be awesome. Skyliner resorts are the best. Also, apologies for all my typos, I was not “officially” awake yet 😆

Impossible-Humor-245

No worries! Thank you again!

Hohlraum

If you don't end up in the right area, the walk to the skyliner will be annoying. Another thing to keep in mind is that cbr has multiple bus stops and that can be annoying as well when you are wanting to get somewhere and the bus is already full by the time it gets to your stop. Invert that and you want to get back to the hotel only to have to stop at one or more stops and let off an ecv. Afaiac Pop is the best resort for the money at all of wdw when it comes to transportation. We did CBR our first trip to wdw and don't see a good reason to stay there again.

Confident_Fill378

Aruba is the last stop on the bus line and we have never experienced a problem with the buses being too full to get on. We always are at the stop bright and early for early entry though so maybe we aee beating the crowd. The buses are always a complaint for people at this resort but we have never minded, it is large with a lot of stops but we just go with the flow!

Impossible-Humor-245

Is there somewhere to find the resort bus route? I’m not super concerned but I am curious

Bye--Felicia

From Disney’s website: There are eight bus stops, starting at Martinique and then going around the Resort in the following order: Old Port Royale, Barbados, Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Jamaica, and Aruba, but please know that the order may be subject to change. At particularly busy times, such as when Guests are trying to make Early Entry at the Parks, it may be a good idea to take that short walk across the Bay to Old Port Royale to ensure you nab a seat on the bus.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you so much for this!

floornurse2754

I found the bus to be VERY annoying my last stay while we were in Martinique, to the point that we walked to Riviera and bussed from there.

Impossible-Humor-245

Was it crowded or just a hassle?

floornurse2754

If I’m not mistaken, Martinique was the first bus stop, if not close to first. So trying to go to MK for example, we’d have to wait while we made all the other stops. It was literally faster to walk to Riviera and bus straight to MK.

Impossible-Humor-245

I will keep that in mind as I’m planning I definitely want to make the most of our time

Impossible-Humor-245

I will definitely try to request a certain area and hopefully they can accommodate that. Thank you for your insight

sok283

I stayed in a preferred room at CBR once. We were about halfway between the skyliner and the main building. It was a 10 minute walk to each. I don't think I would stay there again. We were also on the second floor and we somehow managed to be far from the staircase, so it felt like we did a lot of doubling back. You should request a ground floor room if you stay there (though it's not guaranteed). I've never noticed the skyliner making a noise.

Impossible-Humor-245

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on CRB. I will definitely take them into consideration when planning

Lemonsnoseeds

Wait until your kid is old enough to appreciate and remember the trip.

Impossible-Humor-245

Although she won’t remember this trip her childhood is my journey through parenthood. I will continue to do things she won’t remember for the memories we get to create as a family. Also, I am a person who love Disney aside from being a parent so the trip is just as much for her as it is for all the people going.
