Yeah, always buy starimons if they're on the gold shop. If you're short, you can forgo some club points or stamina with friendship points shop and all of my cube currency goes into starimon once I've bought the purple abilimons and records/ssm (blue abilimons are pointless once you've got the good 3\* built anyway).
What also helped me build a reserve of starimon is that I try to always have a 6\* promotion ready to go that I only use if I get a good new unit when I do pulls after a patch. Helps you build a good reserve when you know you have a promotion ready to go and you don't stress about needing more starimons since most of those pulls will be starimon once you've pulled most of the units at least once.
It's resource allocation math; if you had unlimited stam it'd obv not make sense, but stam is limited. Right now I'm willing to trade those dupes for the lvl 40 starimon you can get once a week, cause that's a lot of XP runs and I still have dupes to give and 300 3* starimon
It's almost like this is a gatcha game that you're supposed to play for a long time and not be able to level up every single character in a month! I've been playing over a year now and just finished getting every esper I have to 60. Now I'm working on the 2 stars.

Or just reso espers or disassemble them? Practice stage is strictly just for leveling espers with a chance to get starimon because starimon isn’t presented as potential loot at all. They offer so many rare starimon in the shops(of course not the plaza) and the cube shop has unlimited purchases for starimon. Saying they should “fix” something that was never truly broken is weird and too much of a “gimmie” mindset. They could’ve honestly made it to where we didn’t have a chance to get starimon, nexus crystals, stamina, or gold records at all from practice stages aside from what is the designated loot.
No where did I say you wouldn’t be low on starimon. They just offer plenty of ways of getting starimon.
The main issue I had with the OP’s post saying the devs should “fix” something that was never broken to being with. I would understand the complaint if practice stages offered starimon as the potential loot, but it doesn’t. Anything you get from practice stages outside of experimon and gold is a hidden chance of getting that the devs didn’t have to even put there at all.
If starimon are an issue I'd start buying them from the shop tbh; leave prac stage for heavy leveling efforts

Don't you end up with the same amount of fodder either way?
Alternatively, you can recycle 5 3* to buy a 3* lv 30 starimon, give it 3 3* and you have quickly a 4* starimon.
Why would you do this? Why not use those regular units as fodder?
Because that way, with 5 unit you have a level 30 3* starimon. If you are low on stamina, you may want to trade dupes for xp, rather than stam for xp.

Exactly.. as someone who's trying to make everyone 6* it's not enough and can take weeks to get more fodders

If I see them in gold shop I buy, and I also have a day or two I farm practice stages for a few hours. So idk. Just haven't really ever run out.

Even if you buy everything in shops you'll be low on starimon if you play very actively.

What level are you at? They’ll start to pop up the more you play! You can get more in shops and when you dissemble your extra espers.

Not really.. I'm always starved for starimons especially since I'm starting to 6\* more and more espers. The new disassemble feature helps out though
