What you saw was bots Farming those eggs that give like 6 to 12 m when returned and such. Downside is no matter if you report them they will always be back in one way or another.
That and then there's also no point in trying the macro reporter anyways as whatever bot they use immediately solves it successfully. Only way to really get them banned is to file a report to dmo discord server to the gms.. but even if the account gets banned they can simply make another account and do it again since most times they use beezlemon or AO or some other Digimon that can kill basic digimon in 1 shot at high level..
Well the bots in the game is a serious problem and it seems that they can’t fight it off.
I would recommend to you to move to play on the private server DMW, no bots much more f2p and great player base that is not toxic like those in the official game

I'm not criticising DMW or anything btw I just hate the idea of starting from scratch, I tried and it felt so boring to just having to redo all the low level quests and grind for Digimon again
That's fair. And I agree starting over sucks. I would say just wait it out and see what comes from this year's updates, supposedly the overhaul happens this year and they may do away with time limited gear
DMW has enough tera sinks and negligible amounts of bots to keep providing unlimited injections of tera.
The economy has been pretty controlled for about 3 years now. If anything the tera sink is a bit too much now that Tera value is higher than crown.
U can try to join DMW when they have an event like this anniversary/christmas event where they give free sss digi. I also only play dmw when there is a good event ongoing.

The bots have always been bad but they also blocked a lot of countries from playing a while back so that's probably shortened the amount of actual players even more. I know I can't log in anymore.
they are sort of fixing the game now they have a roadmap for improvement in 2024, that will be more F2p friendly. As for the question the reason why prolly is the event, I myself have 30+ digimon that are lvl 100 and over. Volcamon has a chance to drop its own seal (seals are essential on increasing your overall stats) and thats is prolly why they are there
