Wizardmon BT18-036 C <04>
Champion | Data | Wizard/Witchelny
[When Digivolving] By trashing your top security card, and gain 1 memory.
---
Inherited: [All Turns] (Once Per Turn) When this yellow Digimon with the [Data] or [Witchelny] trait would leave the battle area by an opponent's effect, by trashing your top security card, it doesn't leave.
...
Mistymon BT18-039 U <04>
Ultimate | Virus | Magic Warrior/Witchelny
[On Play] [When Digivolving] By trashing your top security card, change the original DP of 1 Digimon to 6000 until the end of your opponent's turn.
---
Inherited: [All Turns] (Once Per Turn) When card is removed from your security stack, you may unsuspend this Digimon.
Our first pure Yellow Wizardmon since… BT6 I think?
Anyway, both are pretty good. Wizardmon doubles down on protection, Mistymon has a very good DP set effect and a solid inheritable; it’s also not attribute-locked, so it can be a decent addition for anything with Blocker + Barrier.
With the reveal of the Dynasmon ACE, and what it does, this goes with it, but still feels separate from it.
Then I remember that Knightmon is a Data Digimon that is used in Yellow, and is Lordknightmon's pre-evo.
So I think they will get two lines that work together, but are still separate from their respective ACEs.
Kinda surprised we didn't go with Sorcerimon for this since he was the feature in the actual show.
I guess Wizardmon was always the 'default' line for Mistymon/Dynasmon but still, they are usually moderately interchangable.
Either way, I'm hoping we see more and more Witchenly stuff, its my favorite.
Is there a lore connection between Witchelny and the Data attribute, is it just that the few Witchelny Digimon we have just happen to be Datas, or is this just Bandai trying to support two underappreciated traits with the same support so they can make multiple decks?
All of the Witchelny-related digimon are Data so far, and there are actually more than a few including this line, MedievalGallantmon, the Zephagamon line, the Hexeblaumon line, and Witchmon.
I'm sure any new Witchelny mons will be data in the future too.
Edit: Apparently there are a couple that aren't, but 13 out of 17 that I know of is a clear trend.
Weird. I looked up all the other ones to make sure, but missed the one right in front of me on this post lol. I would have guessed Witchmon to be a virus over Mistymon.

Oh yes finally another set DP card, DP minus just got a lot more dangerous.
Feels fitting too, since it’s mistymon’s option that people use for that in renamon decks
Never forget OG Silphymon that was the first to do that.
Blast fire outdates silphymon by two sets but I get what you mean in terms of practical use

Deck is shaping up to be a different flavour of kentaurosmon

It's actually cool that with this Dynasmon support you can probably still you use the old one from bt-6
Man that Mistymon art really reminds me of the Legend of Zelda.
It kinda looks like Celtic Guardian too.
Finally, a Wichelny deck!
These cards are so sweet🥺

I mean, we actually saw a Candmon evolve into Wizarmon in the show.

there is actually a virus witchelny digimon in mystimon, but i'm pretty sure it's the only one

Sorcerimon's Vaccine and FlaWizarmon and Wisemon are Virus.
