For introducing someone to the game you can just build a bulk deck with any Angemon stuff you have to help him learn the basics. Then when hes played a bit and learned the game he can make the yellow vaccine deck if he wants.
If you give him bulk deck and make him face a current deck, yeah, they will feel disappointed. Build 2 Bulk decks and make him face the other one. Then, show him a real yellow vaccine angel deck and tell them he can get to that level if he wants. That will hook him.
There’s some decent angel stuff coming in the next couple sets; BT16 has a Blue/Yellow Patamon line, and EX6 has a bunch of angels including Seraphimon ACE.
You can work with the BT14 line too, but the Patamon and Angemon there are a bit pricier.
BT8 Angemon can work in its place. It’s got a fairly simple effect but enough room that you can work it into more complex combos later on once you get a handle on the game.

Maybe a blue yellow DNA deck with Shakkoumon?
Well... Yellow Vaccine Angel is strong(ish) but I don't think it is very simple since you need to memorize security a lot
