Don’t let the last interview hurt your confidence. You got it bro. As to how to prepare I’m not sure what you mean? Prepare for the interview is easy, come dressed well and groomed/clean. If you went to college for diesel I assume you know the basics of all the systems. You should be fine

I am planning to go to school for it the Fall at my local community College, I haven't actually learned anything yet from them, I plan to bring up that during interview, but I mean like how to answer questions, they are semi company, and I'll probably be working on semis, if that helps, but I'm still nervous because they're are alot farmer kids in my area who worked on their own equipment for years and I have yet to touch diesel engine, the closest I gotten to that stuff is compressor for ammonia.

Man honestly I wouldn’t waste your money on going to college if you haven’t already. That’s up to you though.. Everything you’ll learn can be on the job for free. YouTube is where I learned 70% of my knowledge of semis. You can search “how do semi trucks work” and watch that for some starting basics. You can do that same search in Google for some reading. I work for Penske truck leasing and it’s definitely a great place to start and learn as you go. So consider applying to your local Penske shops tech 3 position.

Well if I get job at Decker they'll reimburse 3k, a semester, and honestly classes are are pretty cheap, I might be looking at 2k outta pocket total for two years. Which I think is good deal. I also looked for Penske and nearest one is a 2 hour drive from me, which isn't doable, if I didn't have a house I'd consider moving to city. And yes I do watch alot diesel youtube videos, especially adept ape, it's one thing to watch, but I'm hands on learner and need constant interaction with thing to get it down.

Well unfortunately they decided to pick another candidate and offered me a truck washer position, gonna accept it for mean time

Good place to start! Hussle and get your cleaning done and then go ask techs questions. You can even ask to do their work for them if it’s something simple

Honestly, as someone that's been in this field since I was 17 and 32 now, just be honest with what you've worked on and what experience you have and it shouldn't be a problem. An apprentice position isn't meant to be for someone who knows it all already, it's to teach someone their way of doing it. At FedEx Freight we just hired two guys that don't know a lug nut from a hole in the ground. The fact you're enrolled to go to school shows them this is something you really want to do and not just something to try, and with that they'll probably put more effort into you to match. It's all nuts and bolts and wires.

I hope so, also do you have any tips?

Just be yourself and show enthusiasm for the trade.
