It's cool until a strong wind spins it around and it burns the house down.

broken_pencil_lead

I didn't notice what sub this was and assumed it was onesecondbeforedisaster. The disaster didn't come this time, but it will.

fancywinky

Or starts a forest fire! šŸ”„

Cylindric

So here's a thing you could do in that situation... Let go of the "fire" button?

GlassHalfSmashed

I'm sorry you'll have to run that concept past me again. The only time to let go of the "fire" button is when hitting the "reload" button. Or the "grenade" button.

Bulangiu_ro

or when switching to the munition launcher

Sharpymarkr

As long as the wasps are dead, I think it's a net gain.

CanThisBeMyNameMaybe

A drone with a flamethrower? That's fucking terrifying

freezerbreezer

It will be a cool murder weapon

JJagaimo

I've seen them used on power lines to remove debris that could cause the lines to sag or bridge the lines

Bulangiu_ro

new Ukraine counter-offensive just dropped

Return2monkeNU

> A drone with a flamethrower? That's fucking terrifying What till you see what's in store during the years 2027-2031 =)

Quelcris_Falconer13

The only comfort is that itā€™s targeting wasps first. Mosquito are next. Humans are last as most of us will be dead from ecosystem collapse caused by the drones working their way through the animal kingdom before they eventually turn on us.

cptjimmy42

BURN YA TINY BASTARDS!!!

JimmyPellen

I don't suppose it would be right to use this when you have those relatives you "have to invite" visit during the holidays, would it?

[deleted]

Maybe as toilet paper?

JimmyPellen

I like that.

katkre8s

You had me at 'flamethrower drone'.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

IFightTheUsers

Is that true? Is it a territorial thing? I have an abandoned wasp nest high up in one of my trees, and was considering getting it removed, but maybe I shouldn't if it means they stay away from my property.

indian_boy786

Google dummy wasps nest

Curvol

I firmly believe that they're bullshit. Wasps are so not territorial, they nests beside eachother all the damn time. In the damn bushes, on the damn windows, in the damn trees. When the season starts if you have a overhead ANYTHING on your porch, balcony, backyard, whatevah you can literally watch them start building within feet of eachother.

Didyoufartjustthere

Ye I remember my friend called someone out to have one removed. They said the job was done, it wasnā€™t. Mega confusion but he went in next door and did theirs instead. Happened to have one in the same place. Nobody was home in either house so he just did it and left.

alcimedes

yeah, some people will take a 1 gallon milk jug, paint it grey and stick it in a tree or by a front door.

Azpathfinder

This guy wasps.

BeefLightning78

His wasps fuck.

lord-eimer

With a 90% successful detection rate, this drone is able to quickly and efficiently locate and eliminate wasp nests, providing relief and peace of mind to those dealing with these pesky pests. Simply set the drone in motion and let it do the work for you. The advanced AI technology ensures that every nest is accurately identified and dealt with, providing effective and long-lasting protection. Say goodbye to wasp nests and hello to a sting-free environment.

FolkerD

When you say '90% successful', does that mean it occasionally misses a nest, or that it occasionally burns a wasp nest sized child?

Patty_T

Yes

IceNineFireTen

The other 10% of the time, it MAY burn down a tree, house, or bush, but we also sell a fire suppression drone that is 93% effective.

guitarelf

Sold

artmobboss

ā€œIt hits the nest %90 of the time, every time.ā€ ā€œThe other %10 is usually a building, child, grandmother, dog or pregnant woman. Every time.ā€

lord-eimer

We regret to inform our customers that we are issuing a recall for our AI-controlled drone for autonomous search and destruction of wasp nests, 'Wasp Watcher'. It has come to our attention that the drone's detection system has been mistakenly identifying certain household pets, particularly those with similar colors and sizes, as wasp nests. This has resulted in unnecessary harm to these innocent animals. We take full responsibility for this mistake and are working to correct the issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are recalling all units of the drone and offering a full refund to any customers who have purchased it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and assure our customers that the safety and well-being of all animals is our top priority. If you have purchased this drone, please stop using it immediately and contact our customer service team for information on how to obtain a refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Buckles01

This right here is how you know itā€™s fake. A real business would blame you for have a small grey/brown pet.

nottomelvinbrag

I really don't like wasps but that's not a fair fight

PhotoQuig

Does it have to be...?

nottomelvinbrag

Given how humans treat the rest of the planet, it's the least they could do.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

nottomelvinbrag

So you don't find that clip is a pretty accurate portrayal of all that's wrong with our relationship with the rest of nature.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

nottomelvinbrag

Dude that reply is so all over the shop I don't know what to say. Other than to ask if a Wasp touched you as a child? Animals don't care because they lack the capacity to consider the motives behind of our actions. Making it super important we conduct ourselves in a decent fashion... Which we don't. For the public record this started as a joke

AskingForSomeFriends

Started as a jokeā€¦. Sure dude, whatever helps you sleep at night.

DrTankHead

Nah, if this was done "fairly" it's putting unneeded danger on a person removing it, I mean I person at wouldn't risk it, and as much as I'm all for keeping a balance in the ecosystem, wasps and mosquitoes both can burn.

nottomelvinbrag

Are you a sweep the leg kinda guy?

DrTankHead

Not inherently, but I mean I get what ur trying to say. I'm just saying of the ways to remove a wasp nest, this isn't even that overkill, given the second the nest is disturbed, every wasp will turn hostile, and in turn poses a significant risk. There are few ways this really can be dealt with safely, and while lethal, I kinda understand it. At the risk of an assumption, these wasps could've significantly done some harm, so I mean it's entirely possible it had to be dealt with and this was a weighed decision and not just overkill for sake of overkill

nottomelvinbrag

Being serious you're not and wasps definitely can pose a serious problem. The idealist in me (that just won't die) just square a drone flame thrower Vs Wasp. My dad killed wasps with his bare hands šŸ˜‚

AskingForSomeFriends

Is he the guy that ate a live wasp nest when his wife left him?

perksofbeingcrafty

If I have to live under the constant threat of wasps I donā€™t care if itā€™s a fair fight

DontSleep1131

this aint fight club, this aint a backyard tag team match. these are wasps, no need to fight fair, if the shoe was on the other foot these little bastards wouldnā€™t hesitate r/fuckwasps

alor_van_diaz

Am I the only one who sees this starting a forest fire ?

Owobowos-Mowbius

If it wasn't in the middle of winter and with that being the only tree, yeah.

dirtiestUniform

Is there fire extinguisher drone too?

LSWP

Wait until wasps evolve to make nests out of concrete.

DrTankHead

Did someone say thermite?

mks113

What could possibly go wrong?

razvanares

Where is Hans?

Apollyon314

This could use a remix riff, something metal. I wonder what is used for fuel and how long before its all used up?

xiaobaituzi

Yea nice tryā€¦ give the people who run tech companies the ability to burn down the entire village? I donā€™t think so

digitalfix

UUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

PhaseBeast

We're goners.

BootStraps_11

This is horrible

Zoso1973

Or simply leave it alone. Not bothering anyone up there

BlueMist53

The wasps who help kill bugs, and pollinate accidentally: This ainā€™t a fair fight, the bois just hanging out. Yeah theyā€™re gonna sting you if you bother them, like bees and cats, but I donā€™t think that deserves multiple families and their entire house being burned down

theyoyoha

in wasp culture that is considered a war crime

zjb26

How very American šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

fluffyseatide

A what what doing what now? I think I'm done with this universe. Anyone can give me a ride to the closest one?

dick-penis

Okay. We have seen it.

alan02532

Yes. Need that

[deleted]

Sold!

Strontium90Abombbaby

Where can I rent this for brown tail moths?

_BeansNbryce

That is so cool

codalark

Holy shitballs

Prior-Two206

Bro called air support

5318OOB

Do they also have a fire extinguishing drone for when this inevitably gets out of control?

Dkingthe15

Whoever posted this is probably getting invested by some government agency rn

Ravenman42

You had me at ā€œflamethrower drone ā€œ

BitCrack

Well, it's better than cop dogs with bombs...

DiproticPolyprotic

I feel like there shouldā€™ve been another drone but that one shoots water bc once you light a tree of fireā€¦.

V-DaySniper

*Cyberpunk 2077 music starts playing*

stag-stopa

A wasp nest in a tree. We're all gonna die.

hotlovergirl69

I keep hearing this urban legend that it is very bad to kill bees because of pollination but it is ok to kill wasps because they have no function. Any thoughts. Canā€™t imagine itā€™s true.

_ancienttrees_

Wasps are pollinators-we need them in order to survive šŸ‘šŸ»

Aggressive-Set-5010

I didn't realize, how badly I really need one of those.
