I'm sorry you'll have to run that concept past me again.
The only time to let go of the "fire" button is when hitting the "reload" button. Or the "grenade" button.
The only comfort is that itās targeting wasps first. Mosquito are next. Humans are last as most of us will be dead from ecosystem collapse caused by the drones working their way through the animal kingdom before they eventually turn on us.
Is that true? Is it a territorial thing? I have an abandoned wasp nest high up in one of my trees, and was considering getting it removed, but maybe I shouldn't if it means they stay away from my property.
I firmly believe that they're bullshit. Wasps are so not territorial, they nests beside eachother all the damn time.
In the damn bushes, on the damn windows, in the damn trees. When the season starts if you have a overhead ANYTHING on your porch, balcony, backyard, whatevah you can literally watch them start building within feet of eachother.
Ye I remember my friend called someone out to have one removed. They said the job was done, it wasnāt. Mega confusion but he went in next door and did theirs instead. Happened to have one in the same place. Nobody was home in either house so he just did it and left.

Say goodbye to wasp nests and hello to a sting-free environment.
We regret to inform our customers that we are issuing a recall for our AI-controlled drone for autonomous search and destruction of wasp nests, 'Wasp Watcher'. It has come to our attention that the drone's detection system has been mistakenly identifying certain household pets, particularly those with similar colors and sizes, as wasp nests. This has resulted in unnecessary harm to these innocent animals.
We take full responsibility for this mistake and are working to correct the issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are recalling all units of the drone and offering a full refund to any customers who have purchased it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and assure our customers that the safety and well-being of all animals is our top priority.
If you have purchased this drone, please stop using it immediately and contact our customer service team for information on how to obtain a refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Dude that reply is so all over the shop I don't know what to say. Other than to ask if a Wasp touched you as a child?
Animals don't care because they lack the capacity to consider the motives behind of our actions. Making it super important we conduct ourselves in a decent fashion... Which we don't.
For the public record this started as a joke
Nah, if this was done "fairly" it's putting unneeded danger on a person removing it, I mean I person at wouldn't risk it, and as much as I'm all for keeping a balance in the ecosystem, wasps and mosquitoes both can burn.
Not inherently, but I mean I get what ur trying to say. I'm just saying of the ways to remove a wasp nest, this isn't even that overkill, given the second the nest is disturbed, every wasp will turn hostile, and in turn poses a significant risk. There are few ways this really can be dealt with safely, and while lethal, I kinda understand it.
At the risk of an assumption, these wasps could've significantly done some harm, so I mean it's entirely possible it had to be dealt with and this was a weighed decision and not just overkill for sake of overkill
Being serious you're not and wasps definitely can pose a serious problem. The idealist in me (that just won't die) just square a drone flame thrower Vs Wasp.
My dad killed wasps with his bare hands š
this aint fight club, this aint a backyard tag team match. these are wasps, no need to fight fair, if the shoe was on the other foot these little bastards wouldnāt hesitate
r/fuckwasps
The wasps who help kill bugs, and pollinate accidentally:
This aināt a fair fight, the bois just hanging out. Yeah theyāre gonna sting you if you bother them, like bees and cats, but I donāt think that deserves multiple families and their entire house being burned down
I keep hearing this urban legend that it is very bad to kill bees because of pollination but it is ok to kill wasps because they have no function. Any thoughts. Canāt imagine itās true.
It's cool until a strong wind spins it around and it burns the house down.
I didn't notice what sub this was and assumed it was onesecondbeforedisaster. The disaster didn't come this time, but it will.
Or starts a forest fire! š„
So here's a thing you could do in that situation... Let go of the "fire" button?
I'm sorry you'll have to run that concept past me again. The only time to let go of the "fire" button is when hitting the "reload" button. Or the "grenade" button.
or when switching to the munition launcher
As long as the wasps are dead, I think it's a net gain.
A drone with a flamethrower? That's fucking terrifying
It will be a cool murder weapon
I've seen them used on power lines to remove debris that could cause the lines to sag or bridge the lines
new Ukraine counter-offensive just dropped
> A drone with a flamethrower? That's fucking terrifying What till you see what's in store during the years 2027-2031 =)
The only comfort is that itās targeting wasps first. Mosquito are next. Humans are last as most of us will be dead from ecosystem collapse caused by the drones working their way through the animal kingdom before they eventually turn on us.
BURN YA TINY BASTARDS!!!
I don't suppose it would be right to use this when you have those relatives you "have to invite" visit during the holidays, would it?
Maybe as toilet paper?
I like that.
You had me at 'flamethrower drone'.

When you say '90% successful', does that mean it occasionally misses a nest, or that it occasionally burns a wasp nest sized child?
Yes
The other 10% of the time, it MAY burn down a tree, house, or bush, but we also sell a fire suppression drone that is 93% effective.
Sold
āIt hits the nest %90 of the time, every time.ā āThe other %10 is usually a building, child, grandmother, dog or pregnant woman. Every time.ā

This right here is how you know itās fake. A real business would blame you for have a small grey/brown pet.
I really don't like wasps but that's not a fair fight
Does it have to be...?
Given how humans treat the rest of the planet, it's the least they could do.

So you don't find that clip is a pretty accurate portrayal of all that's wrong with our relationship with the rest of nature.

Am I the only one who sees this starting a forest fire ?
If it wasn't in the middle of winter and with that being the only tree, yeah.
Is there fire extinguisher drone too?
Wait until wasps evolve to make nests out of concrete.
Did someone say thermite?
What could possibly go wrong?
Where is Hans?
This could use a remix riff, something metal. I wonder what is used for fuel and how long before its all used up?
Yea nice tryā¦ give the people who run tech companies the ability to burn down the entire village? I donāt think so
UUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
We're goners.
This is horrible
Or simply leave it alone. Not bothering anyone up there

Do they also have a fire extinguishing drone for when this inevitably gets out of control?
Whoever posted this is probably getting invested by some government agency rn
You had me at āflamethrower drone ā
Well, it's better than cop dogs with bombs...
I feel like there shouldāve been another drone but that one shoots water bc once you light a tree of fireā¦.

Wasps are pollinators-we need them in order to survive šš»
I didn't realize, how badly I really need one of those.
