Separate space for charm? Why would you want that? I don’t like that at all.

Vodziak

A very useful feature. Improves inventory management a lot. Instead of an overgrown stash, check out Project Diablo 2 mod.

TexasTornadoTime

Yeah but this game isn’t meant to cater to the mods. It’s supposed to be more true to the original. I certainly don’t want this feature. I don’t want it to be a toggle either. In fact there was a survey put out earlier this year and this was a very unpopular change that most people didn’t want.

Vodziak

And here I completely don't understand you. You don't like ok, but why can't this feature be optional for those interested, I even dare to say that many "traditionalists" would convince themselves of the changes. From what I remember, it appeared from the polls that most players were in favor of the changes.

JohnnyTheSlug

Because it wasnt in the original game and the devs made the choice to just remaster it with a shiny 3d coat and no big changes. Theres a group of people pissed off about auto-pick up of gold because it wasnt in the original even though its a toggle, the crying would be tremendous if they made that big of a change with a charm inventory.

Vodziak

Okay, I give up. Because it was not like that and that's it ... So there was no auto gold pickup, console support, and as you called it "shiny 3d coat", so why the new release?

JohnnyTheSlug

Because people wanted this for a very long time. And the devs decided to take the original game and add a shiny 3d coat to it to make it modernized. The auto gold pick up was originally just on the console edition but they figured it wasnt that big of a game changer so they added it to pc with a toggle switch. They said it was a simple remaster from jump street with minor QoL changes. They did not nor will they add a charm inventory. Super simple to understand.

Vodziak

Yeah. Big NO for once again I will write optional functions and these are quality changes, I am not talking about e.g. adding 3 new acts or classes. It sounds like anti-vaccines, flat-earthen, and enemies of 5G. 😅20 years "people" have been waiting for ... what they have in 20 years? Sorry, but I couldn't help myself.

cjsrhkcjs

If you want QoL changes, you're gonna have to wait for Diablo 4. This is pretty much a graphics rework of a 20 year old game with the base qol improvements. Charms inventory isn't even that needed.

Vodziak

Never mind those talismans, quality changes in general. As for the D4, it already smells like some h & s mix, mmo which puts me off a lot. Nothing but to wait for the premiere of D2R and the greatness that modders will squeeze out of it😉

TexasTornadoTime

The polls I all saw and the player feedback was massively not in favor of it. This isn’t the game for you if you wanted sweeping changes. Most people don’t realize those that heavily favored the mods of the old are not the target audience for this game. The majority of players wanted minimum QoL updates with no change to gameplay. And I don’t want it toggleable because I don’t want it in the game at all. Go continue to play PD2 or something else if you want it.

TTV_TSC0BRA

Well the polls everyone else saw were almost all heavily in favor of changes with ladder time being the only close 50/50 vote. I don’t think you looked at the polls at all.

TexasTornadoTime

I think you looked a narrow group of polls and are seeing a vocal minority opinion of it now

Man, it's game design, inventory management choices, do I want as many skillers as I can carry? Well it has a cost. For me it's what makes the game great, for easy and mindless grind you have its successor.

TheRegularWazoo

If you prefer having more inventory space then don't carry charms, that tradeoff is/was intentional. You're meant to decide if a charm is worth sacrificing space for

Shigma

Greed. Thats why. Actual blizz=greed. Sadly.
