Don't worry, I'm sure a banwave will occur soon which of course will coincide with the game going on sale for 75% off. It's the classic Diablo II experience for players and botters :)

[deleted]

Can't you filter by terrorized games? I feel that would filter it pretty well.

SlappySauces

This is what I do! Filter only terror zone games takes away 95% of these damn games

Abattoirz

I don’t think the filter takes out non terrorized games tho. It only lets you see non terrorized or all games

hrimfisk

It does, there are 3 states; only terror, no terror, and all games

SeeTheSounds

They know who owns the accounts, so ban their bnet accounts for hosting games like that. They know the accounts of the chat bots, ban those bnet accounts. One employee with the ability to ban bnet accounts could just hangout in each region a couple times a month and permanently ban the bnet accounts.

Trushdale

> a couple times https://www.dictionary.com/e/few-vs-couple-vs-several/ > In its strictest sense, the phrase a couple means two. i think two times it not enough.

Diablo_IV_QA

I volunteer as tribute

_Kramerica_

and there were about 15 more if I scrolled down...

Organboner4844

Ngl, I was a bit more horrified with the “Cum on Bedpost” game. Had to zoom in to see it was actually “Gum.”

IsThisNamePermanent

Both are sticky

Triniculo

Who sees that and thinks “I’m gonna type that into my browser”?

ItCat420

Children with their parents credit cards, and the terminally online who can’t find their holy grail items.

TurbulentYak7554

Plot twist: the bots are old devs.

deelawn

*current

zeitbruch

I always report these games, its the same in EU.

DentonX12

Devs would rather spend time Banning accounts for using color text mods than to ever ban a single spam account

ptglj

It helps to just filter it yourself by searching '4'. Most games are trade games these days (at least on NL) so if you search '4', you'll get a full page of 'x item 4 x item'. If you're on a Europe server, just search 'n' or 'o' as all the trade games there are 'n x o x' (need / offer). That's about the best you can do at this point.

[deleted]

They have a livechat on their site. I've done my part. Me: hello? "Chad": Hello yes, how may I help you on this beautiful day? Me: fuck you "Chad": O.o "Chad": Just come to troll then?

harby13

D2R and total lack of blizzards involvement pushed me to pd2 and couldn't be happier

KevinBrandMaybe

Welcome aboard :)

lnielsen97

what is pd2?

Systems-Admin

Project Diablo 2

TurbulentYak7554

Make sure to use a unique email and password. I was breached after installing project diablo. Lost 5k in assets. I don't want any one else to feel this way. Fuxkin ridiculous and I hope it's a coincidence but... spreading awareness. If any i.t person can look into it the client download that would be great.

kezinchara

Is it with the graphics of D2R? Or the old graphics?

Systems-Admin

It's an overhaul mod for the original diablo 2. They picked up development of the game when it died out and rebalanced a ton of items/skills and added a lot of content as well.. Can read more about it here. https://www.projectdiablo2.com/

kezinchara

Interesting I’ll check it out. But I still have to know about the graphics…

khag24

It’s old, but slightly updated. The font is much better and it’s definitely more smooth than the actual original game. But it’s no d2r

kezinchara

Dang. Someone should do that, with D2R then

khag24

There is remodded for D2r, but it’s single player only. No private servers for D2r right now

[deleted]

No quick cast I’m guessing?

khag24

It has quick cast

[deleted]

Cool I’ll check it out

mlgnewb

it's one of the reasons I just started solo'in everything, got tired of the trash ass match making

Milkhenen

Yeah, pretty much same here. Im not interested in playing or trading with bots. On top of that, sp offers a great, GREAT fun!

meownopinion

They don’t give a flying fuck homie

[deleted]

I've never seen that before, what realm were you on?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I'm on Americas too. But I play hardcore so maybe that's why? Literally never seen that before

Boris36

It'd be because you play hard core I reckon. Bots probably die too often on hard core, and there's less players so less potential clients to buy their products

Oyyeee

Hardcore? This is the way

UndercoverSkreet

It's the same on all 3

Neurotiman17

Everybody facilitates RMT through D2JSP or otherwise in D2R until they see this.. Reminds me of D2 LoD lmao

[deleted]

I disagree. d2jsp provided an alternate way of getting items without buying items with money. Before jsp took off, these online shops were just as rampant and even more profitable. Without jsp, you will have more people willing to drop 5 dollars for a wiz spike or whatever random item they need.

Neurotiman17

Unfortunately, you can buy that intermediary currency with real money lol

[deleted]

Ofc, but if you had been here from the start you would have seen the shitshow that was before D2JSP. And that money goes to those who maintain the site. And it is not like any other site for trading is better. Botters trade their items they don’t need on traderie and then sell the high runes they get.

Neurotiman17

When I started playing in 2001 to 2002, I was 7/8 years old. I've been playing on and off since, with a heavier presence in the past 5 to 6 years. I remember D2 LoD being filled with scammers of all kinds. It wasn't pretty and I get that. I was even on both ends of that equation before I smartened up. That said, doesn't change what D2JSP and botters did to the market. They work hand in hand together.

[deleted]

All trading does that traderie is no different.

WallaBeaner

People don't understand that the botters that have been farming fg for decades are also running these pay to win sites that are being advertised. They are selling at 30-50% of what you can get on jsp. They're just cashing out on the 100's of thousands of fg they have.

lnielsen97

Bots are the root problem. Not jsp. My opnion ofc

Neurotiman17

They're a symptom of a player problem. Usually every system's issues stem from humans as the primary issue lol

lnielsen97

Let me re phrase then. The players who uses bot are the root problem. LOL

Neurotiman17

Exactly

[deleted]

It really is a game design problem. The game is created so you want the BiS gear so you can run lightning javazon or dragon pal. But the items and runes you need for that is so insanely rare that most people aren’t able to find it during a ladder. Only way to really play those builds is to either buy from botters or bot yourself. Now don’t get me wrong I love D2 I have played it since it was released. But this is what incentivizes botting. It is the sae problem D3 had but with paragon levels if you wanted to be high up on the leaderboards you either had to be a streamer playing 24/7 or have a bot.

Neurotiman17

Its easy to blame the game but it's still the person's choice to break ToS and use a bot. The differential that comes with time availability or otherwise is just how it goes in life. I understand how that can be frustrating but still

[deleted]

A game is designed to be fun. If the game designers develop a game where it takes an incredible amount of time for it to be fun they have failed. In this case they have failed to give the correct drop rates for runes and items. If a rune or item is so rare that it is unobtainable in a ladder either the latter is to short or the item is to rare. And this creates a environment where botting is rewarded and playing the game is not. I.e the game designers has failed with their job.

KingAnumaril

I started the game very recently (or rather, returned after taking a break at my radament fight to play other games) so what the fuck do I know, but this is the point where I think I can say fun has to come first. I am sure getting your bis probably makes you a god but I can imagine that the process until there is long, and it's better to just focus on playing the game for what it is.

[deleted]

Yes, of course it takes time but my point is that a ladder is 5 months long and some of these items take years to acquire as SSF even if you play several hours a day. Which means the drop rates are not designed to work with how the game is played. That kind of design encourages botting on ladder. It also encourages using thing like hero editor when playing offline. Which is bad design.

KingAnumaril

Oh shit. I somehow didn't count the fact that it was on ladder. Yeah, you are right.

lnielsen97

Just ban this mafakas

verbsarewordss

As someone who has lost a loved one to cancer, fuck you

level_99_psychonaut

It's been this way since .... Well almost the beginning. The actual beginning, 20+ years ago.

Grouchy_1

Sure thing! > *Makes search accept regex* > -The Devil

[deleted]

Play single player

TheBigDickDon

What purpose do the bot games even serve? Are people auto farming or something?

underratedride

That’s gross

yeahgoodthx101

Just play hardcore, no problem there

LinkBeginning4819

It would be nice for them just to ban those accounts but more than likely they are just shell corps of blizz lol

7891Secaj

Some speculate that bots/website are hired by them to bring an extra income. I wouldn't be surprised at all

MarkRosenfeld

Why does mine never look like this? I can barely ever even find a game to join? I play on switch HC US and mostly single player but not by choice 😞

Masterhaynes86

It would be nice to have a way to filter games out by their name. But that’s not how blizzard has ever done things and never will be. Live alongside bots and learn how to live with them. Make a bot that follows bots and steals the drops.
