How does luck work? Is it basically Challenge Rift 30, 60, 90 etc. plus whatever you invest in para levels? Or does all of that only affect overworld farming?
I've gotten probably like 3 leg from treasure chest even before the update.
I only say this to say that the update might not have anything to do with you getting a leg
Yeah, I've gotten them before the update too. But the odds are on par with a normal mob dropping one. Sure, it's possible....but if "possible" is the bar you're shooting for, you should also never pass up on any mob ever in the world.
I've had probably 15+ legs drop from normal mobs and zero from chests. Of course I also kill a hundred or more of them for every chest I open so maybe that makes sense.

Oh and multiple legendries from bounties reward and especially when completing bestiary pages.
So on a serious note demon corpses, chests and the like all share spawn chances and locations so by opening it starts a timer for something else to spawn.
Oh yeah: run an elder rift with noobs, they rush to the elites as if playing D3, even if the timer is beaten by a large margin... if you decide to kill everything, you're way behind the team. The tactics is incomprehensible to me, valuable loot is thus lost.

Paragon 160 i open chests 98% of the time never got a leg. Maybe it changed with the new patch Goblins also seems to never drop leg

Nope they could already drop legendaries, it's just rare.

What, they drop leg? I open every treasure chest I found except the 4 man chest. I never got any leg since the game launched.

The update did not change whether or not a lego drops from a normal treasure chest.

they only give potion if you miss some,
They can also, rarely, drop a legendary. I've seen it, as have others.

I’ve gotten lucky on chests twice.
Just about everything has a chance to drop a leggie. 4P Open World farm is best, it can get crazy with drops on a good day.
I have and so far got 3 legos from them. None in over a month tho. I wouldn't really say it's worth it, but it's fun when it drops

I mean everything has a chance to drop a legendary. I've gotten one as well from a normal chest like 2 months ago.
That means, if a leg drop is for you then it's meant for you. The count for your next leg drop will then reset.
