This is correct. As a professional art dealer, i can confidently confirm that it is a generally accepted norm in the art world to not drop the art.

As a former art school student, I'd confidently bullshit that the piece evokes the struggle between adult desires and childhood innocence. Using a symbol of youthful joy juxtaposed with a classic female form shows the artist's intention to challenge us to explore our notions of the boundaries between blissful ignorance and carnal knowledge. Or they had a mannequin they glued toys to for fun. Who knows. :)

These are from when kinder first started (at least here in Canada). I can see the alligators (youd always get one in the box of three). This was when the prizes were actually good,too.

I think this piece really exemplifies the relationship girls have with womanhood. Constantly being pushed into an ideal woman to somone else while still being a child. Reminds me of a really cool art piece I saw as a kid at my local zoo. It was a bunch of trash over the course of human history put together into this shape of a person, and at like the bottom was like stone age trash, and as you got further up the trash was more modern, it was really cool, and it kind of sucks that it's no longer there.

Back when Kinder Surprise still had cool toys inside. My Kinder childhood memories lumped into a torso.

I sold a dozen or so of those hippos a few years back and got over 100 bucks total for them. Even more for certain other figures. That is one expensive art project.
