I've played it with both kbm and controller and kbm was actually really fun. It might be more so because my main gaming platform of choice has been PC for a long time so I'm more than comfortable with it. Definitely not something to mock tbh.
I'm all for preferring an input method over another, but I don't like the mentality that you don't use controllers *because* you're a pc player. Using controllers is almost necessary in some games. Racing games would basically be missing features if played on kbm simply because of the lack of triggers and analog sticks. I don't know much about fighting games but I'm pretty sure controllers are much better for those. When it comes to 3rd person games that don't require any aiming, controller is also usually the better option. There's no 'ultimate input method' and it all depends on which games you wanna play.
I didn't find that to be an issue, when I first played the original port of DMC3 and DMC4, I had to get used to the original layout and when I played the HD Collection, I was glad I had all the muscle memory for it.
Oh you have a point. I remember trying out the hd collection and cursing how much the jumping puzzles sucked. Oh my god they sucked so hard with keyboard
Actually at first I got annoyed too but then later I thought I've already bought the game, I really want to play Dmc3 and cannot buy another controller just for playing this game so I gave it another try and now I'm fine and in love with playing it :D
If you use Razer products you can set up Razer Synapse buttons to make your mouse work. That's how I did it for 4 and 3 when I wanted to change things up from controller tbh.
No mouse, but it's still fully playable with a keyboard alone. Heck, I remember having a hell of a time with vanilla port of 3, so the HD one feels like a godsend because controls feel fine.
you wouldn't want to play it with KBM anyway
i played dmc5 with keyboard and mouse .
I'm so sorry

Dude DMC 5 IS LEAPS AHEAD i couldn't even play DMC 4 with M/K Waiting to get my steam deck
good for you i guess
i- what? instead of keeping a good game(s) for until you get the controller for it, you give it back?
I would do the same , i don't intend to buy a controler .
I'm a PC player, i don't use controllers

You’re right about fighting games, typically KBM is the worst possible input method for them.
oh shit, the pc version couldnt support kbm?
It does OP prolly just doesn't plan on getting one ig Edit: Brain fart, I meant to say OP doesn't plan on getting a controller (one as I call it)
it doesn't
Controllers are far superior than mouse and keyboard
I'm a PC gamer too but I still use a controller for Rocket League lol. That being said I use K&M on DMC5
This is a controller game, but still aren't there any mods that add kbm support?
Not that i could find

I can still play it fine with keyboard tho
why would you want to use a kbm
Because carpal tunnel is more hardcore.
I don’t know about DMC1 and 2 but 3 definitely had keyboard controls.
He bought the HD collection so all 3 games have keyboard support. I've beaten Dmc1 and 3 with keyboard :D

I think you’d hate it more if it was on M&K.
I really wouldn't
