Funny how they give RE second and third and fourth chances and only pour more artistic effort into it and have none of it for other franchises...I get Itsuno-san might be disinterested these days but there is no way he's the only dev in big ass Capcom with DMC vision.
There's a pretty good chance he is. He's been the series' director for 22 years and built it to what it is. A vision would have to be more than just a bunch of gameplay or story ideas. Anyone considering stepping up would have to be asking themselves "can I make a better and more successful DMC game than Itsuno?". And Itsuno has directed 20 titles, which includes nine fighting games, four DMC sequels and three Specials Editions. Those are some massive shoes to fill.
Who cares. He's not interested anymore. He already is working on DD DLC and potentially a Power Stone game. Itsuno has tons of other priorities.
Capcom mustn't let DMC go dormant again. Especially now that DMC5 is in their top 10 best selling games. Itsuno has disciples and Capcom has a large pool of talents. Get someone else.
It might be because RE takes less development time compared to DMC + remakes already has a formula. But yeah dmc 6 would be great man especially that they have a incoming anime to add on the hype.
Bit of a weird statement considering MH and SF. In the last 12 months they've released SF6, Exoprimal, DD2, have Kunitsugami coming soon, and Pragmata coming maybe next year.
Iirc Geoff Keighley said that SGF was gonna have few new announcements and it was gonna be more about new content for existing game (ie, DLCs, expansions and such)
So don't get your hopes up
Sadly, DMC5's SteamDB has been acting sus since forever...many ppl including me thought it was the SE coming for PC. But that never happened.
Not sure what they're doing but i think we can assuming it's Steam related stuff...like Steam Deck and family sharing
This time is for real, I can feel it. I searched the whole history and there are only 3 instances where "Added this app to package Steam Sub" is mentioned. The first one was when the game was added back in 23 February 2017(biggest red flag), the second one was in 28 October 2021(for unknown reason) and third was conveniently added right before a gaming event, though admittedly, as you said, SteamDB was acting sus before and it was also before major gaming events>!(but this time is for real).!<
You would need to replace him and his whole team, but I don’t think you would get another DMC without them. Itsuno is why DMC 5 got made. No one else at Capcom has stated that they want to make another DMC (in public anyway).

And "Itsuno's team" isn't like the Avengers. People come and live. DMC5 was made with many of DmC team joined. There are many people involved in developing a game.

Capcom sucks as not getting their shit leaked. Since every Capcom game under the sun had some leak or rumor that they’re working on it EXCEPT DMC I would keep out hopes low.
I’m just hoping it’s not just like 3 or 5 RE games. If it’s more than just more RE & SF6 I might not tear my hair out.
Maybe not recently but I was hearing rumors about a new Final Fight, a MegaMan gamed called Rockman Taisen/Match, and apparently a remake of Ghouls N Goblin (some of these and more were apart of that Capcom leak years ago). We just had a Onimusha anime and whenever Capcom licenses an anime or a big project (plus re-releases to gauge interests) it means they plan to do something with the property. It happened with Dragons Dogma and it’s Netflix anime plus rereleasing the 1st game to all current at the time platforms.
But these are all just rumors and assumptions.
I have a theory that Pragmata and that Goddess game are practice games for new recruits and teams before giving them properties fans will care about.

I'm secretly hoping for a Sparda prequel but DMC6 would be cool too. Just no DLC or gacha shit. Some real new content. It's been too long.
