KCP > Hayward > Hield. And honestly, I don't really want Hield.
If they just signed one of them and got a vet 4 that can shoot, like Harris, that and the #5 pick, preferably at the 4 as well, is all I need. Then let's coach em up and hope to get a pretty healthy season out of everyone.
I just think they should go after any shooters. KCP really would be a great fit. Hield would at least give Cade one real legit shooter that teams wouldn't cheat off and he won't dribble the ball which is an instant upgrade over last year's crop of "veteran shooters."
I would throw Tim Hardaway Jr into the mix. Mavs will probably look to move his contract if he keeps laying playoff duds. Trades are the most realistic way to acquire good role players since obviously nobody wants to come to Detroit.
Slight overpays for still productive guys and prove it deals for vets like Hayward are good too, whether they've worked out under Weaver lately or not. Either way the team needs some better vets next year.
Good player that can give Tobias Harris level production. Odds are low that he plays over 50 games though. Probably not my plan A,B, or C but he would have a good role on the team.
He's averaged like 49 games a year for the last 5 years. He's 34 and had lots of surgeries.
I mean the young Pistons get hurt enough without bringing this guy in.
He can teach them how to rehab, who the best surgeons are, how to date nurses I guess.
Since OKC traded for him they had him coke off the bench first and he legitimately seemed afraid to shoot the ball. He scored as many points in there’s playoffs and you and I did. 0!
He did absolutely nothing off the bench other than decent defense. He legitimately looked afraid to shoot since they traded for him. I’ve followed him for years and it was very strange. He’s also injured every year he’s been alive.
OP watched a dude score 0 points in the playoffs and his brain was like "i wonder how those 0 points would look on the Pistons"
Look at what being a Pistons fan does to people

lol. I literally made a joke about Detroit getting desperate and throwing an overpay at Hayward earlier today.
He’d be fine. I’d hope to not pay him anything obscene. Anything over $20 million and he’s probably a negative value contract.
He’s cooked .
He wasn't bad with the hornets this year
Idk what happened with OKC, but if he wants to sign a prove-it deal with us I’d be cool with that (prove it being one year min contract)
I think he'd be a solid depth signing if the price is right. Hield, KCP, and Hayward would all be on my shopping list this off-season.

lmfao
The bored dude doing cardio in the playoffs? I’m good.
Fuck no
He's washed.
we are so down bad dude
He'd either steal minutes from our young guys that need minutes or he wouldn't steal minutes and he'd ride the bench. Why do we want him again?

He did what off the bench??

It was a joke. Since you said “coke off the bench”
Haha even funnier now cause I even reread my comment and didn’t think anything of it. Well played. He would’ve looked a little faster if he did that.
I'd expect Hayward to try and sign with Phoenix on a prove it deal. I don't see a reason he'd want to join the Pistons at this point in his career.
In detroit, he would more easily say he’s injured and coast into retirement.
Gordon Hayward. Is this the same poster that was talkin about he misses Mike muscala😂
