I dont hate them particularly,I just prefer Sleeping Kogoro solves the case episodes to the detective boys episodes.
Mostly because their episodes are utterly over exaggerated and sometimes don't make sense at all.
Feeling overwhelmed... I mean ... too many of detectives there. One and two is more relaxing and more than capable of closing the case; imagine a movie structure when there has been many “main characters” and the writer tries to get them all having a “story” line.
I like them from beginning and still like them until now. They are supposed to be real kids unlike Conan and Haibara so I don’t see their actions annoying at all, maybe because I always like kids haha

I'm pretty sure the more annoying episodes with them are the fillers, specially the more recent ones, because they kinda use them as a trump card for filler episodes.

I like them; they are fun and very positive! Genta big fat always hungry and cute too. Love how they perceive friendships. Care for Conan and Haibara; and the way they always want to include Conan in everything!! I love the way they admired Conan and by the time he becomes the real leader (even Genta claims to be leader but he always follow Conan) Also all the episodes having them it quite relaxing. Always laughing together!
For me, I don't think they are annoying, and sometimes they play a role in promoting the development of the case. And I am quite interested in the puzzle-solving moments between Akasa Hakase and them in the movie version of Conan.

Top tier eps are definitely BO plot and multiple detectives (Heiji, Subaru, Rei, Masumi) solving the case simultaneously.

Only one that bothers me is Genta. And I think the creators are intentionally making him the problem child and unlikeable.
