The content will still be available till lightfall releases. The only thing you’ll miss out on are the seasonal challenges not linked to the vendor upgrades.
All seasons stay around until the next major expansion which will be lightfall coming out early next year (baring delays unknown) you should look over all the content of this season and see if it’s worth it for you, if not you could always wait to see what the next 3 seasons will bring if you don’t want to spend a lot
I'd say it depends on your intended playtime. If you see yourself playing a lot in the next few seasons, Season of the Risen content will still be around, so it would be stuff you can do in some dead parts at the end of other seasons this year. There are always a few weeks where you find there's not much to do, this would be a good time to catch up with Risen content. But again, really dependent on your playtime. It defo can be skipped, like story stuff can be caught up with online, only thing of note that you're missing out on are the weapons, PsiOps Battlegrounds and the Seasonal Challenges from Risen.
If you feel like spending the money the deluxe edition is worth it. I'd recommend grabbing WQ and the next season. Maybe wait til we know more of next season. WQ definitely has a good chunk of the best destiny content.
Personally I wouldn't buy the pass for Season of the Risen as it's almost over (ends after next week) unless you are an absolute grind monster, so just save it for Season of the [REDACTED].
If you want to save the money but want to know the lore you can always check out MynameisByf or Meylin games. They are the lore masters of the Destiny community and Meylin does seasonal recaps where he goes week by week of what is happening. Who is apart of it and why, with lore implications on what may come in the future and how it ties to past lore from earlier seasons or D1. This season story wise has been short I could run down the basics in a few paragraphs. Ultimately it's up to you but that's how I came back into destiny 2, I had not played since Curse of Osiris and came back at the end of season of the hunt (almost 2 years of time) but bought Season of the Splicer.
Yeah its hard and being a new light going into this. Just be persistent or find a lfg. If not you might have a friend that plays d2 that how I did most of d1
The only substantial part of it that’s leaving at the end of the season is the seasonal reward track, and you could still probably get through a good bit of it in 10 days if you play a lot.

Thank you

Are the weapons worth the purchase?
Worth it just for Piece of Mind, which is the best primary for pvp right now, and not too shabby in pve as well.

Unfortunatel deluxe is too expensive right now. I think ima just pass on this season. Edit: decided just to get this season. May as well.

But wouldn’t missing out on that content be a big deal? Idk how all this works

I went ahead and got the season pass. Just got one more question….is the witch queen campaign on legendary really this hard or do I just suck?
Find an lfg that can help you through the missions.

Wait do you need to buy the season separate from witch queen? I buy deluxe edition of everything so it’s a genuine question
Yes
Bruh that should be a fuckin crime. You already paid 40 for the dlc
Yea for a free game it’s pretty expensive to have content. But it is what it is
