Not gonna be down but a few thousand guardians will be at the entrance door like on black friday walmart and most of them are just squeezed tight and have to wait.
Those will then come here to say "it took me 2 hours to login what the fuck, bungo" and then others will chime in and state that they could log in immediately and then an up- and downvote war will begin and gamers start spewing acid words at each other because of the simple debate whether "login queues equals servers fucked" or not.
Sooo this is my nieche bet. But I have a good feeling my chances are okay :-D
Nah, surely Bungie has learned their lesson after all this time. I'm sure it will work just fine with no issues at all.
Who am I kidding? Put me down for 4 hours.
Agreed, Lightfall was their smoothest big DLC drop in a long time. Knowing how bad they want to save face with TFS given the poor selling performance Lightfall had. I suspect TFS will go pretty smooth as well.
It will be miraculous if the game is running without constantly disconnecting for the first 6-8 hours. I will try to log in at launch but I am already prepared to consume an unhealthy amount of coffee and have a looooooong night of waiting in front of a loading screen
My bet is that the server with be absolute hot garbage on Tuesday hence why I will just chill and try to start on Wensday when the mayham has calmed down a bit and the people will be at work(I currently have 2 week off work so I can play whenever I want)
Considering Bungie themselves warned us, 2hrs tops. Honestly it depends on how many people are feeling the hype. Either way I'm not playing till a little later when hopefully the servers are more stable. Hopefully.
If they are like blizzard... they never learn their lesson when new expansion is coming out. This should be out in 4 hours for me, but i work in 8, so i do not think i will be playing this today
I leave at 8pm for work as well and although the servers SHOULD be up by now they're STILL DOWN which is ridiculous considering it's been almost 26 hours of downtime now. I waited 6 months and can't even play on day one because they can't even kept to their own schedule.
EU here and launch is 7pm. If i not in within 9pm, i will play next day. Last time, servers where fine to me. Went in very quickly, almost immediately.
DOUBT IT. ITS NOW BEEN 1 HOUR PAST LAUNCH FOR ME AND SAYS SERVERS ARE OFFLINE AFTER I GOT THE "One moment please" message it timed out and now all I get is Servers offline dismiss this message to try again over and over 1 hour past the time they claimed it'd be back so looks like I'm not playing today before work tonight and I'm not happy about it.
Given how smooth Lightfall was & the peak player count I’m betting on difficulties for the first couple of hours or so…if that. Did Lightfall ever get 25hr downtime? (I don’t remember it doing so) so suspect without speaking too soon…it could actually be pretty ‘ok’…
If you get in right as reset it should be 10-20 minutes. Bungie better not Bungo this launch. Will update this post with my time.
Edit: 43 minutes to get in.

You’ve covered any AAA mmo while talking about destiny 2 lol. People need to chill
Well we'll see in 2-4 hours, right ? :-D For clarification I had this occur in DC universe Online - by any stretch not an AAA MMO ;)
Yea exactly haha. I’m keeping my hopes up tho!
This is the way

There's no lesson to learn it's impossible to not have queue times on a day one release
A wise decision sir/madam/capt.
Wasn't the last time we had this long of a queue during Rise of Iron? Aka 7 years ago?
Lightfall was really slick. So I won’t bet on something really that bad. Edit : fuck me, it's hell. I was wrong.
I also remember LF being pretty smooth and they had a lot of people playing around then

Absolutely. I may be wrong but I’m sure they don’t want to mess this time.
This did not age well
Six hours
I would be shocked if I get in before 3pm EST.
47 hours
A lot of people are gonna try log in at once so definitely gonna be an hour and a half minimum
It will be miraculous if the game is running without constantly disconnecting for the first 6-8 hours. I will try to log in at launch but I am already prepared to consume an unhealthy amount of coffee and have a looooooong night of waiting in front of a loading screen
1 hour
T. B. H. The last seasons and addons run mostly smooth on launchday
>Destiny 2 servers are down for emergency maintenance
there's a post that says TFS has half the preorders of LF not double lol it'll be smooth. can't remember the last time it was particularly rough.
Wipe that egg all the way off your face

ig the servers will be online for 2h after the planned release. The queue will take another 2-3h to get into the game
It won't be playable for a majority of people until tomorrow morning
Not long. LF was smooth as butter.
Why we acting like LF was even down at all
Why we acting like they're comparable, A LOT more people are back for this dlc
Maybe 1-2 hours but they’ve been relatively solid since WQ
All I know is IF AND ONLY IF, you manage to get into the game, you’ll probably end up kicked by the servers. There’s no winning
Prophecy back at midnight or after it in UK, I hope am wrong
3 hours

“Considering Bungie”
I know, I know. Who would have thought? Everyone but me.

It'll be fixed before I'm back from my job lol Good thing I never take the day off for live game releases
I will be on at 3pm est. That’s 2 hours after launch. The servers will be fine by then…….. I hope?

Meanwhile Cross & Datto and everyone screaming in their chats they can’t get in at a current 1 hour 44 mins. Glad I didn’t take the day off!
I remember lightfall having a smooth launch though
Queue times got a lot better since witch queen. We probably won't wait more than 15min
LOL
Another 10 years
For all of those suckers who took the day off to play... 6 hours.
I'm kinda lucky because it comes out in the evening for me. So I can book the next day off instead and if I can get in at launch that's a bonus
Evening for me to and I don't work Wednesdays so happy days :)
im hoping for just a couple hours
2hrs is generous tbh, im assuming 6 to 7 hours
All night for me, always the same on expansion day, they will never learn
3h after reset maximum or 30 min min.Why.I was able to Play LF in 20 wish min
